Great space, great menu, delicious food and attentive staff.
Way over-priced for . . . mediocre food, an impatient waiter, & absolutely nothing special about the environment. It's downtown Napa, so supposedly a good location if you can find parking. The experience simply is not fine dining or even faux fine dining -- it is Appleby's or Chili's with Japanese food -- but the prices are top dollar. Out of alignment.
Sushi was just ok and service was slow. Probably wouldn't go back.
The tempora and udon was not good. Too much dough on the tempora and no soup! The spider roll and spice trios was average. The yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño was good. Service wasn’t impressive. It took the waiter a long time to get to the table. And I was always out of water.
Good sushi. Large sized rolls, difficult for a non regular sushi eater to eat with the sticks. But tastes, variety, drinks, service all great!
Phone was not working, could not hear them. Host would not acknowledge there was an issue. Ended up using Opentable. Was a birthday, notes in reservations, not verbally acknowledged.
Food was good and on point with each dish we tasted. Service attentive but no connection created.
Good crowd For a Monday.
I always loved this place. I do even more now that I don’t live in Napa anymore. Great food, service and people.
This place never disappoints. In a town heavy with touristy and often overpriced eateries, it’s great to see somewhere local that doesn’t skimp on the atmosphere.
Great experience! Great sushi. Will need to go back and try other dishes.
Exceptional as always!
Always delicious, service was slow but friendly!
It was my birthday and the staff always makes me feel special when we come in to dine. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Always a win at Eikos!
We were recommended Eiko's by a local vineyard and so pleased that we chose to go there. The food was incredible. A relaxed atmosphere and dining experience, but a MUST go to.
The confit duck fried rice is out of this world, so good we ordered it twice. Lots of sharing options to chose from.
Me and my friends definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. We are definitely coming back
There are many dining options in Napa, most are fantastic. I found that Eiko’s fell short. We were placed near the bar, we consistently heard servers gossiping and complaining. It was uncomfortable. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, but we won’t return. We spent well over 150 for two (without alcoholic beverages) and were disappointed by the seating and service.
We tried walking in to see if they had room to seat people and the hostesses both said no, they’re not seating walk ins. Then I went to open table and found a reservation 30 min later. The food is mediocre. Our sushi rolls never came, and they still charged us for it on the bill. Not worth the money or experience.
The freshness of the seafood is what draws us to return. Delicious. Service is friendly & considerate. Last visit was marked by problem with reservation: we waited 45 minutes from time of online reservation to be seated. It appeared that the hostess didn't have options to adjust to the unexpected, tables sitting longer & unusually busy. Maybe there's a better way to coordinate online reservations with restaurant operations...Also: one offering for dinner is an assortment of sushi but the customer has to pay extra $$ to choose what they want. Otherwise, we plan to return whenever we're in town.
Arrived on time for our reservation and even though we saw 4 tops open and told the hostess, she sat us near the door. So loud we couldn't really hold a conversation. Server didn't mention they were out of ribs, which is of course, what we wanted. Water not refilled even though we asked twice. Manager chatting with regulars for ten minutes per table but never asking us how our experience was. Found hard fish scales in the sushi. (Which they did comp). Had to repeatingly ask for our wine (held in ice bucket somewhere else). Long breaks between food service. Had to remind server of our order. Last time we ate here, my cracked crab was not cracked enough for me to eat. Popular restaurant, I can't figure out why.
I was choosing between Eikos and Morimotos, and settled on Eiko's because of the wider variety of menu items for Sushi. I was a bit disappointed when I made reservations in advance, and was slammed in an uncomfortable spot in a loud environment, when comfortable, more private seats near the windows were open. The hostess declined my request to move there because they were already 'reserved,' but I'm not sure I understood as I made reservations as well. The food was great, but I the service was a bit slow.
We arrived at 8PM, was told there would be a 10 minute wait although we saw about 10 empty tables. We also ordered the calamari but when it arrived it was already cold. Sushi was good, no issues with that
happy hour in the bar was a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back again soon
I made a reservation and wasn't seated for an additional 45 minutes. We decided to eat at the bar and the staff ignored us. Overall, I love this restaurant, the food and the ambiance. The service on the other hand was pathetic. The hostess started drinking at the bar before we were even given menus.
The food, service, ambience were great. Must make a reservation or you will ne disappointed.
Food was amazing as always. Got the Ricky Ricardo on vacation roll and the Napa Valley roll and absolutely loved them. Service was great and eikos was definitely a great choice to go on a date for Valentine’s Day ❤️
Service and Sushi were amazing!
Went here for a nice meal on Valentine's Day and it was so delicious. Some of the best sushi I've ever had and the service was great, out waiter was funny and helpful, and made our experience very special. Highly recommend
Beautiful enviroment the server was so nice, and don't get me started on the food it was out of this world!
Delicious! Excellent service. One of our favs!
Excellent quality sushi! Generous serving sizes. Attentive staff.
The sushi had an old, fishy taste. I was really disappointed.
Eiko’s is a great Japanese Bistro. They have very inventive and tasty tapas and drinks.
Always love Eiko's. Very fresh food and a wonderful place every time.
Ricky Ricardo on Vacation is the best roll ever. Chile garlic shrimp gets a rave review also.
Wonderful food, will definitely return!
Nice ambiance, food very tasty, excellent customer service
Great food with decent service. Upon arrival I gave the hostest my name, she didn’t greet us with a smile and took us directly to our table without speaking a word to us. However the server was pretty nice, it did take a while for her to warm up to us and give us good service but eventually she did. The food was delicious, the staff could use some help though.
The service and food is always spectacular!
Loved all the flavors and freshness of the fish. Nice casual vibe.
Always enjoy dining here! The Lion roll is always my favorite but lots of great options. Service is always friendly and on top of it!! Sadly had to watch a “regular” get a bit of attitude with the hostess because he didn’t want to wait two minutes to be sat at the bar with his wife threatening to go to another Japanese restaurant. Chill out man. If you don’t want to wait....make a reservation!
Amazing service with delicious sushi. My girl friend and I have sushi every where we go. So thankful we live 22 min 18 sec away!!!
One of our favorite places in Napa.
