Eiko's delivers imaginative twists on traditional Japanese cuisine. Our vision for the menu combines modern and authentic traditional Japanese cuisine including seasonal, fresh sustainable fish and ingredients delivered daily from our local markets and purveyors.
The restaurant's signature design element is an elegant Ipe (ee-pay) wood from Brazil. It separates the main dining room and the lounge. Greeting you as you enter the main dining room are Koi fish painted on the floor. Above the Sushi bar, a 12' x 8' Japanese inscription screen, hand painted by a Buddhist Monk.

My wife and I frequently go to Eiko’s and normally really enjoy their food. Last night was not the case. I decided to try something different and ordered the Tempura Bento Box dinner and was extremely disappointed in it. The miso soup had little flavor and not worth eating. The tempura was very disappointing. The shrimp were ok but the chicken was so rubbery that I could not eat more then two prices and unfortunately that was probably a third of the tempura. The veggies were not cooked enough so they went partly uneaten too. I know I should have complained to the server but I was so tired I just wanted to finish my meal and go home.
I’m hoping this was just an off night for the restaurant and will give them another try. I really enjoy their sashimi and hand rolls but I plan to stay away from the tempura.
We are regulars at Eikos becaue the Sushi is incredible. We make the trip to Napa so we can enjoy their Bon Bons, which arereal crab balls topped with Hamachi and a light soy sauce on top! My husband enjoys their Japanese style "fall off the bone" great ribs! Our great sushi Chef Eddie is worth the trip! It is a little pricey, but the quality and preparation are outstanding.
The sushi was good, the bon bon's in particular were exquisite but the price paid for 4 plates would make you think that there wouldn't be a crowd of intoxicated and annoyingly loud ladies acting as if they're in a Sports Bar. I won't be coming back on the weekends but I might stop in for lunch or on some day where my food doesn't over an hour to get to me. My compliments do go to the chef's however well done.
This spot is not your usual sushi restaurant. There is a great Tapas menu that has something for raw and cooked food eaters plus specials and the usual list of sushi rolls. Nice atmosphere and surprisingly low noise even with the high ceilings. After dinner we had drinks in the lounge which is set up with comfortable seating for groups and couples in addition to bar seating. Good cocktails as well as beer, wine and sake. The sushi was fresh. Main waiter was attentive, but bus service left empty water glasses and took away plates before we were done, but overall a fun experience.
Eiko's is an incredible destination dining experience. I made this reservation for my son and daughter-in-law, for their first dinner as a married couple, on their honeymoon. Allison and the staff provided exactly the special occasion I was hoping for, and then some. I received a phone call right after their dinner, excitedly relating to me their entire experience. For any special occasion, a romantic dinner, or even a business dinner, I wholeheartedly endorse Eiko's.
Arrived early for a lunch date. The restaurant seemed understaffed, but I was seated before the couple next to me, and somehow, they ordered and received their first appetizer before I'd even given my drink order.
Waitress apologized but my guest and I noticed.
Otherwise, amazing food as usual.
The property itself needs a refresh. Deferred maintenance is catching up. I ordered all the basic nigiri options. The fish quality was good. The presentation was about average. If you are looking for sushi in Napa, there are limited options and this is the best value Japanese in town.
Normally we come here for the sushi, which we always enjoy. This last trip we decided to eat off the dinner menu. We had oyster appetizers that were so fishy we ended up sick. Our waitress disappeared and never came back to ask how anything was. We had to ask our server for the bill.
This is our go to sushi restaurant. Our standard fare are their incredible Hamachi + crab bon-bons, their 15 spice ribs and a wonderful roll creation by Sushi Chef Eddie of Hamachi, Avocado, crab in a soy wrap with 2 wonderful sauces and beautifully topped with tobiko. This visit we also shared their Grilled Romaine with Ahi. Incredible
Visited in town while celebrating a bachelorette party. Had reservations at 830, but had to wait on a table for 30-45 min in the bar area. The management was very nice and provided us with a complimentary app. Sushi and apps were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in town looking for a fun dinner!
The food at Eiko's has always been great and not sure if the same chef is there but when we went it was off. The pot-stickers were not browned on the bottom, the ahi taco was a miss and tour usually Ricky Ricardo roll was flat as it usually has beautiful pieces of tuna and hamachi on top.
Once again our dinner at Eikos was excellent. As my husband said "every freaken bite was delicious." We started with 2 orders of bon bons , which is hamachi over crab meat with a sprinkling of tobiko and micro greens with a dab of soy, then an order of fall off the bone ribs, then my special roll that Sushi Chef Eddie fixes for me, hamachi, ahi, crab meat, avocado in a soy wrap with delicious sauces. We always share an order of their "healthy fries" tempura green beans with a delicious sesame dipping sauce. We always enjoy their cosmopolitan cocktails from the bar, too!
Service was terrible. We waited for our server throughout our meal. The food took forever it seemed before it reached our table and then when we were finished and ready to pay the server was nowhere to be found for at least twenty minutes. I finally had to tell the manager and he was unapologetic and short with his responses. We are local and go to this restaurant for the sushi on numerous occasions. The service is consistently bad but the food is good. But my patience is now wearing thin.
