The place was packed given the holiday season. Despite reservations, we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Bar was too crowded to wait in. But our server was great and apologetic.

A year ago this restaurant was ok at best so haven't been there in quite a while. Last night we decided to give it another try and I'm so glad we did. Sea bass portion was very small (2" square) but the food and service were both excellent. Fully in line with a top notch steak restaurant which I have no problem paying for as long as the food and service match the prices. Wonderful meal, thank you!

This restaurant is always good! The ambience is perfect and never too noisy. The food has been excellent every time we have dined there. The wine list is very good too. Also, the service is very good. Our waiter was attentive but not hovering.

Absolutely the best food in Granbury! From the entrees to desserts nothing can beat this restaurant. Server was so nice, attentive when needed, very friendly. We went for a birthday dinner and will go back for all birthdays! They even put a sparkler on the caramel brûlée! Cannot say enough good things about 1890. A gem for Granbury!

This is one of the best meals we have had in awhile. We were not expecting the food quality and service we received. Amazing dinner experience for my husband’s birthday. The sparkler on his dessert was a beautiful touch. I also loved how you can buy the vinegars, olive oils and ribs they use on your meal. Everything was amazing and then we got to buy the sauce components to try to recreate at home. Highly recommend!!

We ate here for dinner on Friday and very much enjoyed it. The restaurant environment was solid, and our waitress Jessica did a great job. The spinach & artichoke dip with crab was money, and I very much enjoyed the filet as well. We would eat here again.

This restaurant is quite expensive and the food is not equivalent to the price. Our steaks weren't bad but they definitely weren't great. The service was very good, a little slow, but courteous and attentive. We won't be going back unless they upgrade the quality of the steaks.

Our waitress upstairs was fantastic. The bar service was very slow. We ordered a drink in the bar before our meal and had a drink or two while eating. Each time it took too long to get the wine with dinner, or drink, we thought the waitress forgot to put the order in. (She didn't forget). For the price of bar drinks, maybe prioritize the bar service.

Cooked to perfection ribeye, wonderful wine, and terrific service. Very upscale but also an overall warm, cozy vibe - love it when I can drink good wine from a big nice serious wine glass! Can't say enough about how the customer service rivaled our food as well. (I had noted it was my husband's birthday when making the reservations, which the host promptly mentioned upon our arrival. Then our wonderful server, Kendal, did the same once we got to our table and periodically during the meal.) We will definitely be back!

We ate upstairs and it was really nice and cozy. We had 2 dirty martini’s which were delicious. We got the potato soup and wedge salad. Both were great. For the main entrees we got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and creamed corn, and the salmon on cheesy grits and spinach. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was a large portion. We were too full for desert but they looked really good also. We would go back if ever in Grandbury again. Very nice and upscale, romantic.
