We love the food. Portion was great and it was delicious. They actually remembered what I wrote in the comments that it was my fiancé birthday and even surprised him with a slice of birthday 🍰 cake! He loves it a lot.
I think what can be better would be the lightings.. if there is candle or some form of better lightings, it was too dim for us... especially when our eyesight is not as great.. we had a hard time reading the menu ...
We made the reservation but we didn’t really need it since the restaurant wasn’t busy. Service was quick and food was good. The only thing was the portions were very small so if you were starving and looking for something to fill you up maybe go to another place.
Food was terrific. Noise level is unbearable inside and too hot to sit outside. Ordered a spicy drink that was beyond spicy. It burned my lips just taking a sip. Waiter said he would talk to the manager about taking it off the bill. Manager told the waiter that the charge stayed. Lesson learned. Probably won’t be back.
Food was fantastic, ambiance great and the service couldn't be better.
Did not disappoint from the numerous high OT ratings! Services was outstanding and the sushi fresh and imaginative. Highly recommend!
Definitely worth a try, but not a proper sushi in my opinion. All the "maki" are spicy, no true basic maki rolls on the menu. Because of my personal taste, I would not go back, but I understand why people like this place.
The service was excellent!
Very cool space and very casual vibe. Food and drinks very fresh and well prepared . Small beer selection toward the expensive side. Service excellent.
I went with a group of 4 people, 3 non-Sushi eaters. The Sushi was excellent but to my surprise the other dishes, Chicken/steak with fried rice, were the best I've eaten. Everyone agreed. The service was good but we felt rushed when some dishes were removed before everyone was finished eating. I will definitely be back.
Eight Sushi never fails to provide excellent, unique, beautiful sushi recommended and served by the best sushi waiters in town. We return on a regular basis and are always surprised by something new. I wish I could rate them higher
Cute place, had high expectations, but it seemed to be a very busy night because our sushi rolls were all falling apart, and some of them weren’t as delicious as I had hoped!
One of the best sushi places I have ever visited! And I’ve been to plenty of good ones being a frequent traveler for work. Let the waiter/waitress pick your dishes. You will get items that are amazing and that would never be ordered normally. Thank you to Esther, my waitress, that gave great service and amazing recommendations.
Never received my points for booking through OpenTable.
For the prices charged the food should be incredible rather than just very good. First time here and frankly all of us were underwhelmed. Service was so fast as to feel rushed and more like a fast casual place rather than a place where blowing 50 bucks a head is average. Sushi was fine—all three of us thought the selections were “meh” especially on the rolls (how many have to have flakes and eel sauce). Sashimi was good quality but exorbitant price wise (cmon 9 bucks for two Tiny pieces of salmon) and presentation was average. There are many sushi places in Atlanta that are much better from both a food and value perspective.
Service tonight was really bad. I've been here numerous times and it's been awesome.
The service was quite rushed. Didn’t have much real attention. The food was good and the general environment good as well
Great food and excellent service but its a bit loud when you sit outside. Its on a main road and was rather busy but it didn’t distract from how great the meal was!
It was our first visit but will not be our last! Our server was very helpful and was able to help us choose delicious dishes as we are new to sushi. The lobster ramen was absolutely divine!
It was our first visit to Eight.
For the area, parking was a breeze. Love the cozy modern decor of the restaurant.
Our server Esther was very helpful, love all her recommendations. The food presentations were pretty and they were delish! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. A “must visit” place when you are in the area.
This place is awesome! Amazing creations with food just the way I like it to be.
Eight Sushi lounge has become one of our favorite sushi places. For a special occasion it's perfect, but maybe not for a quiet romantic dinner. The buzz is good and food and service are excellent. My only wish would be for a more affordable omakase experience. $150 minimum seems pretty steep, even though you get plenty of food. If it was my place, I would look into how we could include wine/sake pairings with that same price point. It might take the sting out of it.
Good American sushi
Awesome. As always.
The sushi is some of the best in Atlanta. We have visited twice and each time we received excellent service.
We love Eight Sushi! The food is always awesome no matter what you order.
Very beautiful space, delicious food, wonderful service. The only thing impacting the ambience was not the restaurant's fault - it was several families that had brought their very young children. Eight definitely has a more sophisticated adult vibe so I was a little surprised about the number of kids. However, everything the restaurant can control was PERFECT.
Great sushi and ambiance. I always come here when I visit Atlanta.
Truly enjoyed the service and food. The servers are very attentive and available.
Best Omakase in Atlanta! Period!
I took my husband for his birthday and I enjoyed my my steak and sushi at Eight Sushi. I truly loved the bread pudding which was superb. However, my husband had his heart set on a volcano roll which was not on the menu. Needless to say he was a little disappointed but told me he enjoyed his meal. I will definitely return with my my girlfriends in the future.
