Eight K at Viceroy Snowmass - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
Many couples were seated against a wall while 4 tops at the window / mountain view remained empty the entire evening.
Moved our chairs to get a better view. They should treat a present paying customer as their favorite. Probably the reason the place was not full.
Much, much more than we expected. We had a wonderful waiter named Randall and suggest you ask for him by name. He was funny, smart and knowledgeable to the point that if you are a foodie, you will be impressed. He made sure the wine was the perfectly paired and a meal we wouldn't soon forget.
The decor is more upscale and the views are fantastic.
Chef, Will, was even kind enough to come say hello at our table but what was even more impressive is that we were very full when we left. It's not the kind of restaurant that leaves you wanting. The portions are generous, which is not always common for a restaurant of this caliber. Enjoy!
I can't remember a time I was insulted so freely by a waiter. All of the other waitstaff were terrific. They tried to make it a wonderful experience. It's a shame the main waiter had it out for us. My jaw dropped, his comments were harsh. We've all had bad days...As for the food, it was pretty good. The restaurant is probably the most beautiful in the area.
Ate here at a conference with the family. very disappointed that they did not have any gluten free pasta at dinner time or GF pancakes in the am- I had called and spoke ot the chef and concierge several times and they assured me they had this available. Too bad- our kids were upset after I told them they could actually eat normally here when they could not.
This was our second time staying at the Viceroy and second time eating at Eight K.
We just thought the service and the food were both fabulous. Our beet and blood orange salads were delicious as were the main courses.
Plus people were really attentive with us. Lovely meal. Ate the second night at Element 47 at the Little Nell and though we liked our meal there, I personally thought Eight K was actually better all around.
Snowmass best kept secret is Eight K at the Viceroy. The service was excellent, helpful and attentive without being obnoxious. Food was delicious with a great menu selection. Ambiance was warm and inviting. We left wanting to come back and try more menu options. Definitly will be coming back.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. We ordered scallops for a main dish and was served two tiny scallops. Our dinner party left hungry and dissatisfied. Their sommelier offered a wine and never checked back with us throughout the meal. Atomsphere extremely pretentious and very warm and uncomfortable in the dining area. Really expected more for the prices they charge, very disappointing!!
The food & service were outstanding! I have an extreme allergy to gluten and dairy. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They also had an AMAZING gluten & dairy free chocolate cake & ice cream dessert. I'd go back for that alone.
The food at 8k is excellent but the service leaves something to be desired. We went for brunch and waited 15-20 mins to be greeted by our server, then waited at every major interval from there. We saw two other tables walk out without ordering and several others leave seeming disgruntled after slow service. The space is wonderful, the view is great and the food is good- hopefully they will iron out the service issues.
We dined there while staying in Snowmass for a couple days. The salads were fresh and wonderfully tasty with herbs and wonderful ingredients. We both ordered the scallops and the dish was stunningly beautiful and just the right portion (not tiny at all, and not large). Service was perfect. We will go back and we already have recommended it.
