The restaurant has a unique mission; to eat well and do good. Founded in 2007, the mission of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute is to instill leadership skills in formerly incarcerated men and women through an education in the culinary arts.
Our aim is to change the face of re-entry through food and hospitality.
very fine dining ,excellent French cuisine in pleasant surroundings
We had out of town guests. We had a wonderful dinner
Nicole was very attentive to our needs. She did a great job! Everyone was great including Brenden! Thank you
The servers are the very best of any restaurant we have ever been to anywhere anytime period, no explanation needed. I told my friends and children, they try so hard to please if you asked them they would even feed you.
Personally I am on a dairy free diet. I ordered Grouper. I requested a different sauce as the original sauce was dairy & suggested to the waitress for the chef to come up with a "creative tasty sauce" it was a dill sauce & it was better than perfect
Location & decoration is beautiful. It is our favorite restaurant in Ohio
There is need however to install sound deadening equipment to quiet down all the noise, and for being a sophisticated place to dine the need of any background music is inappropriate.
This was a birthday dinner & this restaurant went above and beyond expectation. The staff was friendly, professional & always making sure if we needed or wanted anything. Food was outstanding. A definitely go back to with family for special events.
Outstanding. I think this was our best experience yet. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation. As always, the service is incredibly solicitous and friendly. Kudos. We are thankful that we live so close to this gem.
Love this restaurant. Everything was perfect for our anniversary celebration.
My Grandmother Dorothy Campbell, enjoyed her experience @ Edwins. She said the food was good and the staff was excellent.
We are fans of Edwins and what the Edwins family does. Dinner was wonderful, all of the food was delicious. The level of service that they are providing/training is higher than what you see at most restaurants. The cheese presentation is amazing! We will continue to go back to enjoy the wonderful food and support a truly amazing program.
Lovely food, admirable concept, great service. Always a pleasure.
We enjoyed the intimacy of your restaurant. Everyone was very gracious and disciplined
Great night out with great food and great service.
My wife and I enjoyed the quality of the food very much on the occasion of our 63rd wedding anniversary. The service was excellent. The only problem was the noise level. Although we were able to hear each other across the table we still found it detrimental to overall evening.
That being said, we will come back again as the food and service both trump the noise level.
Very impressive culinary journey for Clevelanders. Service was impeccable and down to earth.
Great experience, warm service and delicious food!
When I go to Edwin’s I usually feel that the experience is just a bit less than they’re aiming for, but given the excellence of the mission I cut them some slack. My most recent visit required no slack-cutting as the food was simply excellent. The main courses (grouper and ox-tail pappardelle) were particularly good. When asked we noted that the beignets were not quite at the same level, and another (better) plateful quickly arrived. A great dinner.
We have supported and loved Edwin's from the very beginning. We love the mission, and how Brandon's initiative is making a huge difference. And all of it under the guise of French cuisine. Make a point of dining at Edwin's!
excellent service good innovative food we had the steak diane and the table side preparation of the sauce was very well done and perfect. the underlying steak was less than perfection .in my opinion it was not perfectly trimmed and had a lot of sinew. specifically not steakhouse quality. but overall a excellent dinner and we will do it again.
Food Never disappoints. Fun friendly place.
Wait staff is personable and ready to please.
Excellent food and great service.
Service was great. Our main server was phenomenal. Food was delicious. Wine was superb. Entire staff made it a great evening.
Edwins is one of the best fine cuisine restaurants in Cleveland and I would dare to say the best french restaurant. The service is great, specially knowing the social component of it. The food was beyond imaginable. I had the foie gras (amazing), salt cured duck confit with risotto (best meal I've ever had), scallops, chocolate pyramid and beignets with an amazing caramel dipping sauce. Will be my place to go for important celebrations in Northeast Ohio from now on.
Edwin's provides a lovely ambiance for a special dining experience. The smaller size of the restaurant helps keep the noise level more conversational and provides a more intimate setting than many other Cleveland restaurants. The food is always excellent. The staff may be in training, but one would never know - they always provide the right level of attention and information and know to call on another team member if they cannot answer a question about a menu item (or anything at all). The mission behind the restaurant is just an added bonus.
Love Edwin's, and love its mission to the formerly incarcerated. Our guest, who has spent quite a bit of time in Paris, was very impressed. I always look forward to our times at Edwin's!
I was thankful for the valet service because one of my sons had a bad foot. We were greeted and seated promptly. To start, we had the frog legs, which were tender and delicious. Our main dishes were venison, guinea hen, and rabbit, all delicious and done to perfection. The wait staff were attentive and kind. We finished off with Bananas Foster made tableside. No complaints and five stars all around.
Excellent food and service. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Cleveland. Atmosphere is excellent!! Love the music!!
Edwins was fantastic. The wait staff was extremely attentive. The food was quite delicious. Also, the overall mission of the restaurant gives hope that things, one day, may get better for all of humanity.
As always our experience here was fabulous. You never lack for water (still or sparkling) or their delicious bread. Our threesome had Frogs Legs, Beet Salad, and the salad topped with warm chèvre got us started. All were delicious. Steak tartare and Rabbit came next and they were outstanding. Wines were reasonable and a good selection.
Outstanding food. Best glass of red wine I've had in months. Great atmosphere. Service is very good, but you need to remember this is a school and people are always learning. Service is gracious and friendly without feeling hovered over.
Excellent food, and really wonderful service, this was the highlight of my meals in Cleveland. I want to come go to Cleveland just to go to this restaurant again.
Edmund's is fine dining at its best. French cuisine made to perfection.
Amazing!!! Made my husband’s 50th birthday very special!!!
Edwin’s has consistently high quality of food. It is classic French cuisine as you would find in Paris. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the fees, not only for the food, but for the contribution Edwins makes to helping people re-enter society after incarceration.
We were dining with friends from Michigan, who travel extensively and appreciate fine restaurants. They frequently remarked about the taste, quality and display of food along with the attentive service. Kitchen was a bit slow, so it became a 2+ hour dining experience at prime time on a Saturday night.
Edwins is a great experience, great food, great program, great success. The world would be a better place with more places like Edwins and people like Brandon.
Excellent Cleveland experience both for the quality of the food and the advancement of its mission to provide employment to those who deserve the opportunity to advance their lives.
great place, awesome mission, needed a bit more complexity in flavors for the price
Another very special experience at Edwin's. Food, service both excellent. This time around it was during Restaurant Week so a little more crowded and too noisy but they still pull off a great dining experience.
my wife and I tried the foie gras it was fantastic and we had the pressed duck, what a presentation and the duck was superb, our first time having a soufflé what a wonderful place , wonderful service , an experience we will come again
My wife and I dine out 7-8 times a month. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Can’t believe it took us this long to visit
