The restaurant has a unique mission; to eat well and do good. Founded in 2007, the mission of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute is to instill leadership skills in formerly incarcerated men and women through an education in the culinary arts.
Our aim is to change the face of re-entry through food and hospitality.
Once again we had a memorable birthday celebration at Edwins with friendly staff and delicious food!
Hands down best service we have ever received! The food was great but the staff was beyond anything we could have asked for. Very courteous, genuine and thoughtful.
We chose this restaurant due to proximity to a music concert nearby. The referrals we had heard all came true A+ experience for a leisurely very nice meal. Must come back in summer for outdoor seating. The table side preparations looked Devine. Gregory our server was so attentive and congenial.
The French cuisine and sauces were amazing. From soup to entree to dessert - it was all delicious and different.
Outstanding as usual. One of the must-dine places in Cleveland.
Excellent as always!
Grandsons 7th Birthday was the occasion and he ordered escargot- I think more because he is a 7 year old boy who loves worms and frogs, lol. Last time he ordered frog legs! He only ate one, yet grandpa gladly finished the remainder. The scallops dish was very tasty, and the vegan dish was great.
The kicker, and why our grandson lives going there is for the banana fosters and Edwins does a fantastic job of table-side banana fosters. All in all, really a great time! We left very satisfied.
I took my husband out for a Christmas date and he is very critical ;-). We both LOVED the experience and the food and the service. It is a beautiful, cozy, place and several managers, including the CEO himself, are constantly on the lookout and get their hands dirty in order to ensure quick and excellent service. I particularly love the mission of this business, and find the success rates in terms of employment placement and recidivism most impressive. Kudos! We will be back!
A wonderful evening of beautiful food served perfectly. The service was polite, professional and attentive without being smothering. We had a delightful time.
Excellent all the way around!
Everything was great, I would highly recommended this restaurant.
The service was impeccable and my birthday was all the more special because of my experience at Edwin’s.
Everything was wonderful. Great dining for a great cause.
The service is outstanding and the food is fantastic . I love the ambience and the venue . I highly recommend this restaurant
Unique delicious recipes. European feel. Great outdoor dining when weather permits. One of my top two restaurants in Cleveland. Go see for yourself.
Deeply delicious classic French food. There is nowhere like it in Cleveland. The sauces are amazing. Fantastic wine list, particularly for French wines. Every time I eat here, I’m so glad I did and I wonder, when will I have my next meal at Edwins. The fact that one is supporting a beautiful cause and a wonderful mission is quickly forgotten in the lovely atmosphere and the marvelous plates of food. Which reminds me, when is my next meal there?
Great food, well presented. Above average service by well trained friendly staff.
Brandon: you and your staff knocked it outta the park!
Wonderful night. We will return. Server and chef worked hard to accommodate my allergies. Many thanks.
This establishment never ceases to amaze me. If one loves French food, this place will meet all of your expectations! The cheese cart is the best I have seen in US!!!!!!!!! Bananas Foster prepared tableside? But of course!!!!!!!
Great service and food. They attended to my serious food allergies. Brandon stopped by. Very pleasant experience!
Extremely friendly and informative staff and management. Valet parking was appreciated and an excellent wine list. We usually dine at the bar but chose a table this last time near the fireplace. Very cozy.
a perfect french bistro experience. menu, sevice, cocktails.
Edwin's did not disappoint! It was everything that I had heard and more. I both love delicious food and proud, service-oriented staff. I will be back!!!!
My husband and I were there during Cleveland restaurant week. We started off with the escargot. He had the new guinea hen and I had the salmon and everything was delicious. Desserts were the chocolate pyramid and their doughnuts also delicious. Service is always excellent as this is a training ground
Wonderful, as usual. A true gem
The food was so amazing! My husband had the Restaurant Week special with butternut squash soup, Guinea hen, and the triple chocolate pyramid. I had the burgundy snails, braised rabbit leg, and bananas foster. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The meat was so tender and the flavors just exploded in your mouth. The quiet atmosphere and beautifully decorated space made it so intimate. We will definitely be coming back for major holidays and our anniversary!
We had.a wonderful evening. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Very friendly. True French Cuisine. Great program!
Fabulous food and fantastic ambience!!! Never disappoints !!! Owner very personable and checks on tables !!! Love this touch !!! Top restaurant in Cleveland!!!
Awesome time at Edwins. Our server was amazing and did a great job of explaining her back story and how much she has learned at Edwins.
Loved everything. Our server was outstanding. Just two issues. The heating vent below our table roasted us! It blew hot air on all 6 of our legs all evening. We managed to close the vent but it was still too hot. The creme broulet was not carmelized on top. Want that crispy tap when you hit the top with the spoon.
First time there, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They were busy during restaurant week, yet service was great. My well-traveled, foodie friend rated the escargot as the best she ever had! Our entrees, salmon and guinea hen, were scrumptious and appealing. Would definitely go back and will recommend to others.
A little dark but very upbeat vibe. Servers were genuine and caring. Food was delish. Always great to be welcomed by Brandon.
Thrilled at my first visit to this amazing establishment. Will go back for sure! Also proud to support such a great endeavor.
Met up with great friends, food was excellent, service a little spotty. i.e. our waitress removed our silverware after our appetizers as if she had already served the main course. Service was disjointed.
Amazing concept, love the social benefit. Wiling to pay more because of who they are employing if the food was good.
Good French food outside of France. Better than its closest competitor in Cleveland (Albatross) because of the sauces. Edwin's sauces are delicate and nuanced not heavy handed as is the case with too many so-called French restaurants in Ohio. My wife had the prix fixe menu with wine parings and the wine parings were right on target. I had the rabbit and it was delicious. The only negative was the service which was almost smothering and the pace of the meal was far too fast even after we asked them to slow it down. I refer to it as good French food at a McDonalds pace. Others may well prefer that type of service, but not us (but it is better that the opposite end of the service spectrum). Nevertheless, we will go again and we definitely recommend it.
Had long leisurely dinner with excellent French food and service. Joe took great care of us, patiently, knowledgeably answering our questions with a smile. Butternut squash soup was light, creamy, delicious. Salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked with crisp tasty bottom layer. Potato encrusted grouper was perfectly cooked (flaky, tender, not fishy). Chocolate pyramid was rich, smooth and satisfying. We were well cared for all evening. Music was a little loud at first but at some point it was put at a level more conducive to conversation. Snug, cozy space - my one wish for Edwin’s is that they can eventually have more space for easier movement thru dining area.
Very classy place with a lot if character. The food us unbelievable good. Very exciting menu.
