Edwins Restaurant
The restaurant has a unique mission; to eat well and do good. Founded in 2007, the mission of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute is to instill leadership skills in formerly incarcerated men and women through an education in the culinary arts.
Our aim is to change the face of re-entry through food and hospitality.
A bientot!
It was my sister’s birthday and the service was beyond great and the food was DELICIOUS!!! Even the music was phenomenal
Great and genuine place food well worth it service was great
The food was excellent. Our waitress was wonderful. A lovely meal.
Edwin's always has a creative menu which provides a unique experience. Prior experiences with both the food and servers was exceptional. We had celebrated New Years 2019 at Edwin's and had hoped for a great experience again. Our server for New Years Eve was relatively new - 2 months - and not attentive. We waited over 20 minutes for our meal after finishing our salad and 30 minutes for our desert. She never asked if we enjoyed our meal. She took my dinner plate which was 1/2 full away without asking if I wanted a box - I had to catch her as she was walking away. She did not know how to use the register and returned our check but not our credit card - the person who helped her process the card had kept our card??? We will return again as prior experiences would indicate that this evening was not he norm for Edwin's.
Great place for date night.
Super food and great service.
Worth the money for a terrific cause. Food was mostly quite good, not exceptional. Creme brulée was cold and grainy and the scallops were overwhelmed by an overabundance of root vegetables. Still, ultimately a good experience. Will likely return for lunch as we believe in the mission.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, food was delicious. Loved the cheese plates and the bananas foster!
Besides a little salty food and a staff member not wearing their mask properly, the experience was really good.
The food, incredible. The service, fantastic.
The owner and staff are welcoming and ready to make sure everything goes smoothly. The pressed duck is delicious and the preparation at the table a pleasant and entertaining experience.
I highly recommend the Coq au Vin and the soufflé. Both are incredible.
This is now my go to place to take my friends when they come to town.
I also highly recommend Edwin's Too for brunch. --- Get the eggs benedict. OMG!
We had dinner at Edwins on Christmas Eve. The entire staff went out of their way to provide us with an awesome dining experience. We are looking forward to dining at Edwins again very soon.
We had a great meal - love the premise behind the restaurant. Will be back soon!
Fabulous food and outstanding service. I definitely will return.
This restaurant supports a great cause! Help people that have made legal mistakes get back on there feet with a portable skill
We finally convinced our kids to go out with us and unfortunately, this did not live up to the expectation. This really tears me up to write this review because Edwin's was my favorite place in the city so I think I will chalk this up to an off night for them because of just so many misses tonight. I don't know if its COVID or maybe something totally different but Edwin's isn't the Edwins that I am used to.
We started the dinner the drink (Pie in the window) but it was overly strong with absinthe to the point that we had sent it back and had to order something different. For appetizers, we got selection of cheeses (4 of them) - really good, and Foie Gras Avec but our server forgot to put this in and it arrived way after we were finished with dinner. For main course, my wife and I ordered Grouper, which was good, my daughter ordered Saumon en croute - however, our server wrote down the wrong dish and we were brought Crouqettes de Saumon, which is an appetizer and it was overly lemony; and our son ordered Le Burger - but it was so salty that we couldn't eat it and had to send it back (kitchen graciously remade it for us to take one home but I know its not the same the next day).
Dessert is as good as usual, Grand Mariner Soufflé is incredible, so is Pyramide du chocolat (their version of flowerless chocolate cake).
Pretty disappointing visit. Edwin's is a special occasion type of place but today it was a complete miss. Let's hope this is just an off night, what otherwise is a great restaurant (judging from my prior couple visits).
First time at Edwins for a post-Thanksgiving date. Everything was excellent! We will be back!
Our evening celebrating our son's birthday was nothing short of wonderful, thanks to the staff at Edwins. They are so accommodating and the food was fabulous as usual!
Thanks again! Always a memorable experience!
I was able to reserve a table for two on short notice; to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were able to get a table by the fire. Staff was very attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was calm and allowed us to relax and enjoy food and each other. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it surpassed her rave review. Thank you Edwin Staff
Great all around, food and drinks and service.
Fabulous as usual.
A little on the expensive side, but great service and great food!
Outstanding Food and Service. Kudos to a well run and highly efficient venue.
Recently some of the food has been a little uneven, but this Prix Fixe menu was perfect in every way! Special shout out to the French Onion soup which which was so rich and good, I felt like it was also sinful. The pasta with squash and mushrooms, a big hit, and same with the salmon. Thank you!
Always the best !!
The food and service was impeccable. I went back the next day to try the bakery and it was amazing as well!
The food at Edwin's never fails to disappoint - the best French food in the Cleveland area as far as I'm concerned.
Excellent Wonderful service Food outstanding Beautiful restaurant
A taste of Paris. We ate outdoors on the sidewalk like an European cafe. Everything was wonderful.
Great except for relatively non-exciting desserts.
Chocolate pyramid - basically similar to a large Hersey's chocolate kiss and without promised Grand Marnier.
Food and service were outstanding, as always. Eating outside was fine; car noise was only a little bothersome. Brad needs to leave his mask alone when he come to talk to his guests. We can hear and understand him fine with his mask properly on.
Every experience at Edwins is fantastic, whether it is dine in, their amazing 4 for $40, or anything from the butcher shop or bakery.
The service is impeccable, the food is beyond reproach and Brandon is such a superstar. Can’t wait for another reason to go back!
Always an exceptional experience! Great service, amazing food.
Sunny a great and different place
Food is great
Staff is wonderful
This was my first time dining at Edwin's. I met a friend who had been several times and she raved about the quality of the food and the politeness and attentiveness of the staff. We had an excellent meal sitting comfortably outside on the enclosed patio area. There were propane gas heaters to keep us warm as it was a cool evening. The waiters were all polite, attentive and exceptional in their service. I also valet parked my car and received great service there as well.
The food is terrific and worth the cost as the quality, presentation and taste are all excellent.
Next time we'll order the souffle for desert ahead of time and give it a try. I hear it is excellent. Thank you.
Went for our anniversary. Started with cheese sampler which was excellent. Artichoke app was very good. Striped bass was excellent, as was burger. Service was top notch. Overall wonderful evening and food.
We had a lovely time seated outdoors with socially distant tables, patio heater under a tent, attentive service and mask wearing wait staff. We had been doing carry out for the last 6 months, but splurged to bring out of town family for a 2 couple retirement celebration. We miss the tableside prep of LeBurger but enjoyed it neverthless prepared in the kitchen. The escargots were small but tender and served hot. The canard à l'orange was up to our expectations and the sommelier helped us pick a perfect wine. A delightful late fall evening.
The lobsrer
Excellent service and great food
Our server forgot to order the souffle, so there was a long pause leading us not to wait for the souffle. Timing and service could improve....sometimes long gaps.
This was our first time eating out and Edwins did not dissapoint. We had a wonderful dinner.
