Edward's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
My husband & I went there for our 45th Anniversary and was treated like royalty! The manager knew we were celebrating because our daughter had called ahead to get a gift certificate. When he sat us at a lovely corner table, he brought up 2 glasses of champagne. The food was amazing. Our steaks were done to perfection. The wine was incredible! All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time at Edward's. Pricey menu but worth it. We had chilean sea bass, cowboy ribeye, garlic mash, asparagus. For desert, creme brulee and tiramisu. Everything met our expectations, and the service was great. We will definitely visit again for a special occasion.
Dining here was absolutely perfect for a birthday occasion. I had a steak that was cooked flawlessly throughout and my date's Tuna was perfect. Everything from the appetizer's to the service was consistent and exemplary. We also enjoyed the classic jazz standards playing while we ate!
While a bit pricey, you certainly get what you pay for.
Awesome old bar with great steakhouse ambiance. Not too crowded, amazing service (really exceptional). Go for a happy hour for reduced cocktails and apps or a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself.
Without a doubt a pricey meal, but with that in mind, there are pricier joints that have lower standards. Best steak house in JC? Absolutely
It was perfect in every way. The steaks, service, wine, and drinks were outstanding.
Working in finance in Manhattan I have pretty much tried all of the steakhouses of note and Edward’s is there with the best of them. The dirty martinis and 16 ounce strip were excellent. They cooked a perfect Pittsburgh rare.
This is one of those places that people who aren't locals or in the know might just walk right past without even knowing what they're missing. I almost want to keep it that way! Great place for a steak and some surf with your turf as well. The bartenders know their business and build a very respectable dirty martini. There are two dining rooms and we were seated in the upstairs one which, due to its small size and the fact that it was a busy Friday night, was so noisy that I couldn't hear very well. I would ask for the larger, downstairs room in the future despite the fact that I like the decor and feel of the upstairs much more.
Between our outstanding oysters for apps, and our off the chain steaks with spinach, asparagus and mashed for dinner ... I mean WOW! And then floored by the panna Cota and chocolate cake? I mean double wow! By far, after living in Jersey City for 10 years, this has been my favorite meal hands down!!
We've been to Edward's several times and the food is always very good. Friday night, there was only one server to take care of the room which was woefully inadequate. After water was poured, no one came to take our drink order for 15 minutes. I cannot blame the server, she was inundated with every table on the floor! After our meals were served, I asked how long it would take to get a side order of spinach; I was told 5 minutes....15-20 minutes later it arrived. Sorry, Edwards---> FAIL! Maybe it was because it was Restaurant Week in Jersey City, but honestly, put on another server and make your customers feel valued. It's not an inexpensive meal and this was a terrible way of saying "we want you to come back".
We have been coming to Edwards ever since moving to Jersey City. It's a great spot for a steak, but only gets 4 stars because some of the other dishes (baked clams and tomato and mozzarella appetizer) were a bit under par. Nonetheless, the service is attentive, and it's a good price.
A friend and myself went to the Resturant during Hudson County Resturanturant week. They offered a steak for 2. 38 oz w 2 app, mashed potatoes and broccoli, with dessert for 2. Great food at a a bargain price of $100.00.
When most offerings were $40.00 each for steak lovers this is wonderful TASTY affordable option.
We arrived about 7:15 on 7/29 and sat in the back.
The young man who waited on us was excellent as well.
It was our first visit to Edward's Steakhouse, and definitely not our last. The people were very friendly and helpful. The food was a great potion, presentation was nice and the food taste great. Cooked exactly as I asked for. The drinks were perfect. This place is a hidden gem in Jersey City. Definitely would recommend this pkace for a couple or maybe 2 couples to have a nice hang out date.
Really enjoyed Edwards steakhouse. It's definitely a date night and a special occasion type place. The steak was phenomenal, the appetizers were phenomenal. We also really enjoyed the drinks. Definitely going back soon. Blood orange margarita was delicious. As was the cucumber gin martini.
We ordered from the restaurant week menu. Flat iron steak sandwich was outstanding. Very tender and tasty. My favorite comfort food was the hot turkey platter. Yum! The chicken franchise was very tender and flavorful. Salad was great. I want that dressing recipe! Our waiter was very attentive. Wonderful experience!
Great neighborhood steakhouse. Nice atmosphere and not noisy. Old time feel in a charming brownstone Prices were reasonable and food and service were excellent. Great value and a welcome and friendly neighborhood feel, as opposed to the overpriced steakhouse chains. Nicely priced variety of wines. Definitely would recommend it.
