the space felt a little odd, too open, impersonal. then they put the music on, and it seemed perfect. great staff, fancy but not pretentious.
Nice ambiance in the rear part of the restaurant. Service is good. If you like garlic this is the restaurant for you... otherwise skip this one. The menu is very limited for those who do not like garlic.
I've been meaning to try Edward's Steakhouse for awhile now and I'm glad I finally did. All three of us had our steaks cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on.
we've been here a few times and it never disappoints. the food is always spectacular..the wine list is great and the service is top notch! it's a bit pricey but the food is well worth it. the portion size for all meals is always a descent.
Steaks were done to perfection. The specials are a terrific value and service is on par. Definitely will return.
Really quiet and nice ambiance. Just right for a nice conversation. Their porterhouse is amazing. Could not ask for it better cooked. I will go again, guaranteed.
The food is always good and the service was spot on. My steak is always cooked to perfection.
Nice local steakhouse if you don't feel like doing the tunnel /bridge thing. Mon-Tues prix fixe menu is terrific!
I had the petite filet $32. It was served on top of a hash brown pattie, with a bernaise sauce. Very good. My friend had the porterhouse. All sides were extra. Most were $9. We had 3 sides - mushrooms, onions and brocoli. Everything was delicious. Service was very good. It was pricey but I'm looking forward to going there again.
Steak was delicious. Atmosphere was great.
Service was wonderful.
Great food and great service !
Very nice place. Very classic looking, good food and friendly service. A bit small, but that gives it an intimate feeling. I would definitely recommend.
Great food! Great service, a little tight you can see into the kitchen and the chairs stacked up near the dining room isn’t so attractive, however, it is well worth the price! I will be back soon and highly recommend you visit.
We went for an early Valentines dinner. Service was very good. The food was delicious and portions were generous. We settled on cocktails but they have a pretty good wine list; maybe the best I’ve seen in JC. I would ready go back for another occasion
Awesome meal. Service was outstanding. I love Edwards and recommend it to everyone who asks.
A fantastic place.
Place was great! The biggest point when I go to client meal is atmosphere. Has to be great! Love the place and the attitude!
We decided to test Edward's Steakhouse during the Hudson Week. In summary, it was quite mediocre: First of all, we needed to wait 20 min for our table despite our reservation. Second, the noise level was truely incredible, to understand each other, we needed to shout. Third, the food was ok - but not more. My Filet Mignon was very good - yet for an additional 5$ surcharge I would have expected a bigger cut and particularly more than just a little broccoli floret and a tiny potato croquette to go wir it... would not recommend to go there, you can get better food for less money elsewhere...
Pat Donnelly and his team do another wonderful job. Steaks are juicy....great wine selection and cheesecake is banging
Very pleasant for restaurant week. Have been there several times and never disappoints.
I would never found this place is it wasn’t for Hudson County restaurant week. It is a hidden gem. The food was amazing.
Fantastic. Best steak in JC. We loved the service and the entire dining experience. Thank you and we’ll definitely be back 🙂
The lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus was to die for. My boyfriend had the 6 oz steak which he said was great. Our waiter Michael was wonderful. Can't wait to go back!
Great ambient, great food, I loved it.. Warm welcome & the service was great considering there was one person for the entire restaurant .. Will definitely return..
Steaks and seafood were cooked perfectly and the ambiance was warm and classy, while allowing for comfortable conversation. Perfect for a romantic evening or a gathering with friends or business associates. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem!
Skip the NYC prices and BS and come here. Everything is outstanding and without the NYC pricing. Exceeded every expectation.
The food quality was not good and certainly not steakhouse standards. Wildly overpriced and had issues with the service. Maybe it was a bad night but the porterhouse for 2 should not be chewy bad cut of beef.
Without a doubt, the finest steak restaurant in New Jersey
First visit and it didn’t disappoint! Service was excellent, and both the food & drink was excellent. We will be back!

As always excellence across the board
My husband & I went there for our 45th Anniversary and was treated like royalty! The manager knew we were celebrating because our daughter had called ahead to get a gift certificate. When he sat us at a lovely corner table, he brought up 2 glasses of champagne. The food was amazing. Our steaks were done to perfection. The wine was incredible! All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time at Edward's. Pricey menu but worth it. We had chilean sea bass, cowboy ribeye, garlic mash, asparagus. For desert, creme brulee and tiramisu. Everything met our expectations, and the service was great. We will definitely visit again for a special occasion.
Dining here was absolutely perfect for a birthday occasion. I had a steak that was cooked flawlessly throughout and my date's Tuna was perfect. Everything from the appetizer's to the service was consistent and exemplary. We also enjoyed the classic jazz standards playing while we ate!
While a bit pricey, you certainly get what you pay for.
Tasteful meals. Good ambience. Good service
Quality food and drink, never disappoints
Awesome old bar with great steakhouse ambiance. Not too crowded, amazing service (really exceptional). Go for a happy hour for reduced cocktails and apps or a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself.
Without a doubt a pricey meal, but with that in mind, there are pricier joints that have lower standards. Best steak house in JC? Absolutely
It was perfect in every way. The steaks, service, wine, and drinks were outstanding.
Working in finance in Manhattan I have pretty much tried all of the steakhouses of note and Edward’s is there with the best of them. The dirty martinis and 16 ounce strip were excellent. They cooked a perfect Pittsburgh rare.
This is one of those places that people who aren't locals or in the know might just walk right past without even knowing what they're missing. I almost want to keep it that way! Great place for a steak and some surf with your turf as well. The bartenders know their business and build a very respectable dirty martini. There are two dining rooms and we were seated in the upstairs one which, due to its small size and the fact that it was a busy Friday night, was so noisy that I couldn't hear very well. I would ask for the larger, downstairs room in the future despite the fact that I like the decor and feel of the upstairs much more.
