Couldnt have had a better experience. Went with a bunch of friends just for a night out, no one ever going to Edward’s before, safe to say we will definitly be returning. I highly recommend coming to Edward’s. Between the food, staff, & overall experience, it was a lot of fun, & great for any occasion.

It’s difficult in this COVID environment but we had to sit near the door and near the bar. It was of course noisy and rowdy. I LOVE this place and love going for a quiet date night with my husband and WITHOUT our kids. wish we were able to sit upstairs or in the back for a better ambiance. Other then that, we had a great evening.

Waiter was amazing

The porterhouse steak was amazing. The stuffed shrimp was ok, would not order again. The seafood sample platter was my favorite everything was delicious. Recommend it ! The service was amazing!

Celebrated my 50th birthday here and it was outstanding. Service and food top notch. Best steaks in Jersey City by far.

Anniversary dinner. I got the petit filet with potato hash brown cake, and Caesar salad. He got the cowboy ribeye with creamed spinach and a Caesar salad. I put in the notes it was our anniversary but I don’t think that note was passed along. Food and service were good. Not crowded.

The food was AMAZING as usual. Service was excellent. The restaurant could do a bit better with Covid social distancing guidelines. Even with an early 5:00 dinner, the dining area was filled with 4 other groups within a smaller space (no windows or doors to circulate the air). We didn’t linger and got the check quickly, once more tables started to become filled.

The wine list lacks creativity -- by the glass it's dominated by California wines with little to no creativity, not to mention their red wine was warm. The service lacks follow through -- it started out good, but it ended next to bad. It took us 20 minutes to get our check, and our server barely said thank you. The food lacked quality -- perhaps patrons like Edward's because it's been in the neighborhood for many years , and they are nostalgic, but honestly, this food was flat and barely OK. We will not be returning.

Really want to love this place but they need to leave the “Peter Luger” style of wait service in the past. For the $$$ the experience needs to be much better. The food was good not great. The meat was cooked well but had a lot of fat/gristle (42oz) - not good enough. The sides also need a lot of work. Small portions for the price. Lumpy mash potatoes is not good. Please invest in having proper steak cut fries instead of what you currently serve.

DON’T DO IT! There’s much better food in the area than Edward’s. If you’re looking for a high quality meal and great steak this isn’t the place for you. I don’t mind paying for a good meal, I enjoy a steakhouse at least once a month but this was below par. Steak was beyond fatty, lamb chops had zero seasoning, mash potatoes were instant, wedge salad had the cheapest store bought blue cheese on it. I love a wedge salad for the amazing blue cheese you get at a steak house but this was not good at all. I really had high hopes for this place especially considering they price themselves as any other steakhouse but I’ve had a better meal at a diner. Even my soda was flat!!

Always great food and service when we come. Covid protocols all in place. Felt safe and enjoyed a great meal.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and it was exceptional!!! They were super polite and the food came out fast and more importantly delicious! Told my husband I can easily go here myself and sit at the bar to enjoy a half bottle of wine and their truffled beef carpaccio. We had the baby lamb chops and veal chops. Everything was amazing!

Their chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream was a perfect sweet treat to end dinner.

If you’re unsure of where to go for a nice dinner out, go here. If you’re worried about covid, don’t fret bc they do everything right here. Proper social distancing and precautions were in place.

Support them so when the pandemic is over they’re still in business!!!

We ate at Edward's for our son's 16th birthday. Our son was thought his steak was underdone, and I would tend to agree. My husband, daughter and I were all very happy with our meals. We started off with the seafood sampler for two and salads - all were delicious. Cocktails were great and our waiter, Mario, was very attentive. They did a great job separating the tables with partitions to keep everyone COVID safe and the music was low enough that no one had to talk too loudly to carry on a conversation.

What an incredible restaurant. I think this is the best steakhouse in NJ the service was impeccable mind you our waiter was also bartending in between and never once felt neglected. Accommodating and delicious is a rare combination these days. Go here!

We were seated right away with proper social distancing. The wine list was extensive. Beet salad and escargot were very good appetizers. Entrees were prepared to order. Service was attentive

Edward’s is a gem. Even in Covid times, it continues to stand out as a top notch restaurant for food and, more importantly, for service. We’ve been so many times over the years, but haven’t stopped by since the lockdown. Tonight was our wedding anniversary and Im so glad we came back. Safe, delicious and special.

The food really wasn’t good at all I think the steaks are frozen .. I ate here many times and the food was great I think the pandemic probably change the quality of food and service they did not even serve bread 🥖 I’m not one to leave reviews but I would stay away I rate it one star at the moment

Edwards is always great

This was one of our first outdoor dining experiences and it was really cold. Mickey was our server and bartender in the outdoor area and he was great. The food was exceptional including the seared tuna (Dijon mint sauce) and crispy hashbrowns. I recommend this place highly.

Another great meal. The best fried calamari in all of New Jersey. Ask for it, it’s not on the menu. My Filet was a perfect medium rare. Are server Mario is the best

Nice set up for outdoor dining and parking is right next to it. Our server was excellent!

Have eaten here many times. The appetizer foe 2 was outstanding. Lamb chops cooked to perfection. Steaks always fantastic.

Steak wasn’t too great along with the food

My first but definitely not my last time visiting. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Exceedingly mediocre food in a tired atmosphere. We were underwhelmed by this over priced Jersey City steakhouse. The food was generally tasteless, including the French Onion soup, garlic mashed potatoes and steak sauces. The steak itself was unremarkable as well. On top of pretty pathetic food, the prices are sky high. Service was the bright spot but no need to ever go back.

The food was lacking flavor, salt can go a long way, please use it. I had the stuffed shrimp. It was stuffed with a crab filling, that had celery & i think bell peppers, but it reminded me of tuna.... 😒 the shrimp was overcooked and my food was warm versus hot. Unfortunately, No need to revisit this place again ...

We had a very nice dinner at Edward's Steakhouse Monday night. The manager was very attentive along with our waiter. They have gone above and beyond to provide a nice dinning experience despite the covid constraints. The food was also delicious!
