A true gem for Chicago
The food was so amazing! We shared two pizzas for appetizers. Then got our own pasta dishes. Such a nice restaurant!
The food was very good and the service from our waiter was good too. We were however very disappointed that we were unable to bring our own bottle of wine and pay a corkage fee. The interactions around that request were quite uncomfortable and made for less than perfect evening. We live in the neighborhood and would frequent the place more often if that was welcome. We have no problem paying a corkage fee. In our experience, this has very rarely been a problem. Unfortunately, it was in this case.
Dinner was delicious! Really fresh ingredients and simple but delicious plates. Wind selection is mediocre if you’re not ordering a bottle however.
Hi Michael, So glad to hear you enjoyed your dinner! You are absolutely right our selection of wines by the bottle is much larger than by the glass. Though we do offer 11 reds, 9 whites, 3 roses, and 3 sparklings all by the glass. What were you hoping for that we didn't offer? Perhaps I can find a way to get it onto the list! And as far as bottles go, come see us on Monday's for dinner as we offer 25% off all bottles then. Best, Byrd Jasper General Manager
Eduardo's Enoteca is consistently great. The menu is full of interesting and fresh choices, without being outlandish. Nice wine list with lots of moderately priced choices. The servers are always friendly. Great place - we need more like it! Please, open one in Streeterville!
Hi there! Glad to hear we always impress when you come to dine with us. Check out our happy hour sometime! It's Monday-Friday from 3-6 and you get 1/2 off all glasses and the charcuterie boards. I will also pass along your desire for us to open a second location to the owner, I can't promise anything but we are flattered to hear you like us that much. Until next time, Byrd Jasper General Manager
Service was slow and we felt forgotten, took over an hour to get our entrees. We love Eduardo’s but this wasn’t the best visit
We love Eduardo’s! It is our favorite neighborhood hidden gem in the Gold Coast. Summertime is the best because you can eat outside and watch the world go by. My family and I always get a couple pizzas to share and we love the Brussels sprouts! Wine flights are fun too. :)
Awww thanks so much! Byrd
This is an ok restaurant that is clearly overpriced. Service was fine. We had the cheese tray, which was excellent, but the ravioli was not tender and was basically tasteless.
Hi Sathens, Thank you for your patronage. While I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed the cheese plate, I apologize that you didn't care for the ravioli. We welcome all customer feedback and are happy to replace dishes that aren't cared for! We set our prices so that we can pay our staff and keep the lights on, and in comparison to similar restaurants in the neighborhood our price point is lower. Perhaps we will see you again for a more pleasant experience. Best, Byrd Jasper General Manager
One of Chicago's outstanding "little gems". The food and service are outstanding there. Every few months the chef offers up new specials which are really tasty- one of the latest ones is the Halibut with cauliflower puree, braised kale and a blueberry sauce. The pasta and pizzas are also outstanding. Try it, I guarantee you will like it.
Hi Harold! Thanks for being such a loyal regular, I'm so glad you enjoyed everything on your recent visit. See you around! Byrd Jasper General Manager
Went for Mother’s Day brunch, have been here multiple times, but today had a new server that didn’t know the menu. Food was very good, however what came out didn’t totally match the menu description. Still would recommend
Whenever we are in Chicago, this little restaurant nestled in a quiet Gold Coast neighborhood is a must visit. Eduardo’s manages to serve Italian comfort food with a unique flair and pair it with an adventurous wine list that doesn’t overwhelm the average wine drinker; all while providing impeccable service.
Ok food. Small place with tables very close. You hear everyone’s conversation.
Outdoor seating is now open! Given Chicago’s unpredictable weather, we jump at the chance to sit outside. Eduardo’s never fails to present good food and good service. This is a neighborhood gem.
Great happy hour!
great place for small casual dining, you well love the staff, specially Bird.
Great restaurant! Amazing food, lovely staff, the asparagus ravioli is to die for, very reasonable prices... overall one of my favorite places to eat not just i Chicago, but in the world!
Love this place
Pastas are greater
All good. Food delicious. Service very nice. Sound allowed for easy conversation.
Excellent service and food!!
I went here during restaurant week randomly and it was amazing! Small and quaint but really cute.
The service was great! Below is a list of what we got and pictures as well:
Wine flight - great wine, wished they were a little larger pours
Spicy kale salad - dressing definitely has a kick which I loved! It was more romaine lettuce than kale, but still great flavoring!
Meatballs - super tender and great on the crostini
Tagliatelle Bolognese - my favorite dish. The sauce was very flavorful. There was a great ratio of noodle to sauce
Italian brick chicken - chicken was flavorful but simple, and the potatoes were done very well
Tiramisu - one of the best that I have had. Hefty slice
Would recommend again and again!
Hi there, Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad the restaurant week was enjoyable for you. We look forward to see you again sometime! [and noted about the wine flights] Cheers, Byrd Jasper General Manager
This was our second visit in recent weeks. The first visit was excellent. On this visit, it took a long time to get our food, and it arrived nearly cold. So it was tasty, but cold. That was unfortunate.
This is such a quaint yet incredible restaurant. The menu had a great mix of options beyond your typical Italian cuisine with a nice list of specials. The quality of the food was excellent and we loved everything we had (Brussels sprouts to start, arugula and avocado salad and Bolognese). The wine list has great options without being overwhelming.
I will definitely dine here again.
This is an excellent restaurant. We've been ding there for years, it's always terrific.
Wide variety of delicious, reasonably priced dishes - comfortable for family style or individual servings. The service is very friendly and competent, and we were able to have a pleasant conversation and actually hear each other. Most pleasant place.
Hi there! So glad ya'll had a pleasant evening with us! Thanks for dropping by and we hope to see you again soon :) Byrd Jasper General Manager
Dinner before a Christmas concert at Moody Church. The manager and waitstaff here are so gracious and kind...a great experience! The food was good...rustic bread appetizer was delicious. Salads were, too. Meals were all very good except my Ironed Chicken and potatoes was a bit dry/over cooked, though flavorful. Window table was so cold...drafty almost. Otherwise a great experience, would go again but will ask to be away from the window if winter.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We hope to see you again soon :) Happy Holidays, Byrd Jasper General Manager
We had a wonderful server; he helped us choose wines and a salt-free entree for one of our group. The charcuterie platter was very good; the crostinis were messy to eat; the pasta prima vera with no salt and the bolognese pasta with meatballs were good.
Pleasant atmosphere, moderate noise but the food is only fair. The salad dressings
had too much vinegar, pasta not enough flavor. Fine for a quick neighborhood bite
Excellent food. Quaint environment & great cocktails. I highly recommend it.
Great food! Happy hour is awesome ($5 glasses of wine, charcuterie, and crostinis). Meal portions are a little small for what they charge
Eduardo's is a lovely neighborhood gem. We like the seasonal variety, vegetarian options and quiet, cozy atmosphere.
It's small--so we usually come for an early meal. Nice outdoor seating that is very popular.
I normally love this place, but we had a terrible server last Saturday evening. He disappeared for long stretches of time, leaving us waiting to order our food and drinks. He also brought out the food late, as it was not hot and looked like it had been sitting in the window for awhile. The food is still delicious though and it’s a cute dinner spot so I will try this place again in hopes of a better server next time!
We have been to Eduardo's several times and have had good experiences with food, service and atmosphere. The most recent visit was good but not up to the usual standards. The service was slow and one of our entrees was poorly created and executed. We ordered the grape flatbread which was essentially cheese pizza with a few grapes arranged on top. We expect more from our friends at Eduardo's! Don't worry, we will be back, everyone can have an off night!
Good food and nice outdoor area to dine!
This place is small so make reservations! The food was great. We tried the cheese and meat plate as an appetizer and practically left nothing but the plate! I had a wonderful salad with chicken added and my son and husband had the bolognese tagliatelle. We all loved our choices. Reasonably priced, also.
We sat outside and had such a wonderful time. Food was great, service excellent and it was a cute, cozy location. Will be back.
Never disappointed when I come here. Nice menu selection, something for everyone. Good wine list.
Bad food, bad service
