we had an excellent meal: great soups ( cilantro and black bean ) and great yellowfish: with almonds and peppercorns.
Finished with a delicious flan.
Would recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Fort Lauderdale

Eduardo de San Angel is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. We went there recently with another couple. It is one of the few restaurants in the area with a very quiet ambience. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service.

Usually GREAT. Something really off. The specialty cilantro soup was not up to par. The eggplant appetizer was cold in the middle and not up to the usual standard. Even the great corn muffins were smaller. Such a disappointment and very surprising. Always loved Eduardo for the consistently excellent food. Hope it was just a bad night in the kitchen.

Was their 25th anniversary, looks like they haven’t changed a thing, dreary. Food was ambitiously described yet fell short. Plates were hot, no I mean HOT! Could not touch them the entire meal. What that means is the food was pre-prepared then tossed under the salamander to heat up. (I know this as I have worked kitchens before.) Just stringing together a bunch of exotic sounding ingredients (Mexican fungus, yeah) doesn’t make for haute cuisine, it’s execution and taste, both lacking here. Service was very good. Might give them one more try as people have told me how good it is. Stay tuned.

Five starts across the board! Nothing could be improved -- the ambience, the service, the food, the wine -- everything was perfect! Beautifully seasoned. My husband had cilantro soup (a must!) and skirt steak. I had a tasting menu that started with ceviche, then corn chowder, then snapper steamed in husk with tomatoes, capers, olives, then topped all off with mango sorbet.
Every time we dine here, we ask ourselves: why don't we come here more often?! This place is amazing!

Went at 845 on a Friday and enjoyed excellent service and superb food. This kitchen would succeed anywhere with an Alta Cucina version of refined Mexican food. The duck in guava sauce is the best duck served in Florida by a mile.

Pleasant decor and excellent service. Really unusual menu with a fusion of Mexican and European. I had the slow roasted duck with Mango sauce - unique and delicious; my wife had the grilled yellowtail with black bean purée, rice and a bed of vegetables.
This is a must visit - unique combination of flavors- and a fabulous dessert list.
