An interesting gourmet "Mexican" menu minus the typical fajitas, tacos, chips and salsa. Would highly recommend for those seeking something a lot more special than refried beans. The only drawback is that there is beer and wine only with no "Hard" liquor. Definitely worth a try.
Amazing restaurant, the best Mexican in town. Eduardo is a master chef and Mario provides the highest level of service. Must eat here.
This is a truly unique culinary experience. All those chains cannot match the food you get here.
We were a party of two and both decided to do the fixed menu for $48 each for 4 courses. Everything was delicious and the coconut creme brûlée amazing! Quantities were regular size they didnt skimp anywhere!
This is truly different restaurant in southern Florida - Highly talented French trained chef - who cooks Mexican. The dishes can be sublime at best! Great at even the normal level! We travel the world and eat at a lot places - this is a true gem ! We get here whenever we are near the Ft. Lauderdale airport. The kitchen is even skilled enough to handle the vegan in our group - which again, points to the skill in that kitchen.
Great food, great service, amazing attention to detail....
This is my favorite restaurant in Florida. The food and service are elegant from start to finish!
Creative, visually stunning and delicious
I eat out most nights and am used to good food served well. This place is top tier!
This is our favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. It’s a little pricey but worth it. Amazing wine list and waitstaff who really know the menu. Food is always fresh and hot. Great tastes and textures. We will be back. Oh so cozy.
Food and service were great, However, ambiance was a little depressing. This place can be a Jem if they improve the lighting.
Excellent experience, will definitely go back
Food is always great - especially the Cilantro soup! Great choices always superbly prepared. Never disappoints and the service is great.
This is a world-class restaurant, a true gem (even if it is located in a strip mall).
Great food and service.
Eduardo is cooking true Mexican food which is hard to find in Miami or the US for that matter.
the food is always delicious and the service outstanding. I will be back soon with family and friends. we always look forward to a great meal.
we had an excellent meal: great soups ( cilantro and black bean ) and great yellowfish: with almonds and peppercorns.
Finished with a delicious flan.
Would recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Fort Lauderdale
Eduardo de San Angel is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. We went there recently with another couple. It is one of the few restaurants in the area with a very quiet ambience. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service.
Wayne is always amazing. The food is great. We will always go back and always recommend Eduardo's to our friends.
We always love eating here when we're in Florida! The food is spectacular and service is fantastic! This time we ordered from a new tasting menu, which was delicious!
Always amazing food and service!
Usually GREAT. Something really off. The specialty cilantro soup was not up to par. The eggplant appetizer was cold in the middle and not up to the usual standard. Even the great corn muffins were smaller. Such a disappointment and very surprising. Always loved Eduardo for the consistently excellent food. Hope it was just a bad night in the kitchen.
Was their 25th anniversary, looks like they haven’t changed a thing, dreary. Food was ambitiously described yet fell short. Plates were hot, no I mean HOT! Could not touch them the entire meal. What that means is the food was pre-prepared then tossed under the salamander to heat up. (I know this as I have worked kitchens before.) Just stringing together a bunch of exotic sounding ingredients (Mexican fungus, yeah) doesn’t make for haute cuisine, it’s execution and taste, both lacking here. Service was very good. Might give them one more try as people have told me how good it is. Stay tuned.
Five starts across the board! Nothing could be improved -- the ambience, the service, the food, the wine -- everything was perfect! Beautifully seasoned. My husband had cilantro soup (a must!) and skirt steak. I had a tasting menu that started with ceviche, then corn chowder, then snapper steamed in husk with tomatoes, capers, olives, then topped all off with mango sorbet.
Every time we dine here, we ask ourselves: why don't we come here more often?! This place is amazing!
It was outstanding as it usually is at this fantastic place to eat wonderful tasting food.
First meal back here for a long time and we wondered why as it is as excellent as ever. Amazing, attentive service and delicious food.
Went at 845 on a Friday and enjoyed excellent service and superb food. This kitchen would succeed anywhere with an Alta Cucina version of refined Mexican food. The duck in guava sauce is the best duck served in Florida by a mile.
Overall very nice dinner. Food was excellent and we'll be back again.
Pleasant decor and excellent service. Really unusual menu with a fusion of Mexican and European. I had the slow roasted duck with Mango sauce - unique and delicious; my wife had the grilled yellowtail with black bean purée, rice and a bed of vegetables.
This is a must visit - unique combination of flavors- and a fabulous dessert list.
Great food and service the toasted coconut cream Brulé was amazing
My absolute favorite restaurant in Broward county. Food is so delicious and Eduardo is the best! Can’t wait til the next time!
Amazing as always.
When in Ft. Lauderdale the finest Spanish food is not too be missed here at Eduardo’s de San Angel !
The pros: great food(not what you would expect from a typical Mexican restaurant) with unique preparations;, and a varied menu. Cons: wait staff that hovers, with others on staff wandering often through the rooms seemingly not doing anything in particular; food and drinks that are pricey. Overall, we felt rushed, and the meal was over within an hour (including appetizer, entrée, dessert and drinks).
We had a fantastic experience again! This time we had our adult children with their significant others, and they also raved about the ambience, service and food preparation! Every effort was made to accommodate our daughter, who eats only vegan food. Outstanding!
This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last ! Paul our server was attentive and fun and seemed to anticipate every need. The food offerings were unique and authentic. It was meaningful that the chef and owner took the time to thank us for visiting. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we look forward to a quick return.
Amazing food and service ... we love it
Our first experience at Eduardo de San Angel was very good and we look froward to experiencing more of the excellent menu selections. The wine list was good with a variety of vineyards and prices. Unfortunately, we were not tremendously hungry so we each chose a soup and both were tasty, well seasoned, flavorful, and delicious. The black bean soup's consistency was perfect, not too thick, and the cilantro soup, a special, was delicious. I enjoyed the poblano pepper stuffed with lots of crab and my wife had the shrimp appetizer. Both were hearty portions and well complimented buy the wine. Service was friendly, professional, efficient, and unobtrusive.
We were able to relax and enjoy our dinner and savor the wine without being rushed. We looked at the desserts but there was no room left, in spite of the very tempting assortment of sweets.
Eduardo San Angels is my all time favorite South Florida restaurant.
The owner and staff are charming, accommodating and appreciative of the
diner/diners ! The menu is versatile and the food is high quality and delicious!
When anyone comes to town - this is my go to spot ! I recommend San Angels
with the highest recommendation!
Excellent meal and excellent service from Robert. We had the cilantro soup (special), swordfish (special) and duck. The duck was one of the best my husband has ever had (and he loves duck). Would recommend this place without hesitation. In a little strip mall so too easy to overlook. We can’t wait to return!
This is a very quaint restaurant with amazing Service and Extraordinary confections by Chef/owner Eduardo, a well manner gentleman who does not like much of the lime light. You will be enchanted by this wonderful experience.
