Great food! Not what I expected from the decor. Amazing dishes, well presented and flavorful. If I had to criticize the venue, my only regret is the look of the place. Bright colored walls, plastic plants, neon lights over the kitchen, etc. It’s decorated as if it was a Mexican taco restaurant. it is not! The dishes were Mexican inspired, yes, but you won’t find tortilla chips here. Bathrooms also need renovation. I laughter out loud.
However, the food and service are great! Worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for the past 11 years for different special occasions and each time the food reminds us why we love this place. The food is authentic and so good that you will want to come back to explore more great dishes. Try any fish entree, seafood, and all chef's specials! I love the staff and this place! You won't be disappointed.

Eduardo de San Angel delivers unique recipes that are amazingly flavorful and creative. Every item is terrifically presented. Service is very reliable and you never feel rushed to finish your meal. A local gem that always delivers an excellent dining experience.

We have been going to Edwardo's for many years. We have never been disappointed.
We celebrated Father's Day at Dad's favorite place. We always have excellent, professional, formal service at Eduardo's. New waiter to us was like a waiter at a diner. Reached across our faces to serve, was rushed and not professional in his demeanor.
Food was very good, as usual. Next time we will specify our waiter preference.

Have been going for here for years a d the food and service have always been excellent. Went there with another couple for dinner. $400 later (which I have no problem paying for a good meal) but as soon as we finished dessert at 10:04 PM on a friday evening the managercame to us and the other tables and told us the cleaning crew was there and we needed to leave NOW. This was the first time our friends have ever been there and we were all at disbelief. While outside other people leaving were saying the same.

My husband and I had been to this restaurant a year or so ago and were disappointed. We decided to give it another shot recently. We had the Cilantro Soup and a Calamari Salad for appetizers, both of which were decent. For main course we had Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin Filet Mignon and a daily special Ahi Tuna over Pasta. Both of these dishes were not good...….I asked the waiter for a medium rare temp on the filet, and he explaind that it was stuffed and was prepared medium.....It is difficult to think the meat was Filet as it was tough on the outside, sliced very thin and cooked through. In any case, it was not remarkable at all.....The Ahi Tuna was sub standard tuna, over pasta with an oil base sauce. No real flavor and the lower grade Ahi once again gave us a very poor impression of Edwardo De San Angel. We purchased tuna the following day at Whole Foods. We seared and served over mixed greens......Amazing quality Tuna, Light years better than what was served to us the night before...…...Ahi is a very simple dish to prepare, its ALL about the quality of the Tuna and what was served to us was not what you would expect at a fine dining establishment. For a restaurant with such amazing reviews, you could wonder if this was an "off" night, but our memories from our first try there was similar...…….We wont be going back...……
Eduardo de San Angel has been our favorite restaurant for 30+ years. The food is creative and magnificent. The service is seamless, friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The chef prepares the food elegantly and consistently delicious. Good for anytime, but especially romantic and glorious for special occasions.
The service was fantastic, our server Robert was great and the food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back!
We had a marvelous time at EDUARDO DE SAN ANGEL despite our waiter rushing the service a bit. It took a while to warm to his hasty hurried style in such a lovely upscale dining atmosphere. The Food was exceptional - the first course soup was a definite "WOW" flavor and uniqueness. The highlight entree for our group was the crispy Duck and the Toasted almond Yellow tail fish. We did not partake in dessert.
Great atmosphere wonderful food. Have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and have never had a less than great experience.

Nice Quaint Atmosphere, staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was definitely polished take on Mexican fare similar to what you would find in upscale Mexico. A must do for food aficionados.
We go to Fort Lauderdale about 4 times per year. This is always a must every time we go. The people there are amazing and the food is out of this world!

The food is reliably good, with mendicant flavors but not the traditional casual Mexican dishes. The eggplant roulade appetizer was delicious and the pan-fried shrimp over wilted spinach was also terrific. It’s a nice intimate place for a dinner with friends.
We found this place as we wanted to make a reservation for Cinco de Mayo. Thanks to OpenTable, we now have a go-to spot for high-end Mexican food. This is not your typical chips/salsa and churros for dessert restaurant (I like those too). This is an upscale, small restaurant with probably 12-13 tables. Prices are not cheap, but I think they reflect the high quality of the food. Our server Alberto was great as well. We ordered 2 appetizers. One was a pepper with blue crab stuffed inside. It was great. My wife got the short rib empanadas. Those were also very good. For the main course, I got the Snapper special and my wife got octopus over a salad. We both really liked the entrees. The coconut delight for dessert was great, but all of the items looked good to me. One item to note, these guys don't serve liquor but do offer margaritas made with a special wine. My wife said it was very good. Since we don't live close, we're glad to have the option to reserve a table via OpenTable so we don't have to drive 45 min to wait in line. As long as this restaurant continues to accept advanced reservations, we will continue to be customers!

When I pulled up outside I was a bit concerned because the exterior looked a little sketchy. Inside is a beautiful restaurant, with a comforting feeling. Food and service were exceptional. Our server, Robert, made some great recommendations and the kitchen delivered an outstanding meal. Highly recommend this dining experience.

Wonderful welcome, ambiance, service, wine,...and the food! The way they prepare their fish is the best I’ve ever seen/tasted in the U.S.A. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, including the extraordinary Chef Eduardo - whom was an absolute delight to meet.
When we heard that this is the most authentic and best Mexican restaurant in the U.S.A., those people were not wrong! We will absolutely go there again and will tell everyone to visit!

Our server, Eduardo, was very nice and attentive. The food, however, was underwhelming. The beef tenderloin was under seasoned and chewy, the cheese filling inside wasn’t heated thoroughly, some parts were cold and some were hot, not sure if it was supposed to be that way but I didn’t enjoy it and sent it back. I replaced it with the lamb chops, I ordered them medium well but they were served well done. The lamb chops were also under seasoned. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and he said it was good. The sangria was good. Mediocre food but excellent service, will not return.

Food was pretty awful and It’s really dark.
The food is outstanding. Fish cooked to perfection - yellowtail was delicious. Poblano pepper with blue crab en en papillote was a wonderfully crafted appetizer.
Always a wonderful experience.
