Edoko Sushi Ratings and Reviews
When we eat sushi, we have always gone there since they opened years ago. Food is always very good. This last visit, the service was below par for anywhere. I always tip 20% plus, but did not this time as the service was so poor - sadly I am the one that feels guilty for giving a 15% tip....sometimes wish my conscience would allow me to do even less when warranted....and this last time it definitely did.
It was my Wife’s birthday and we had an amazing time. Our waiter (Andrew) was awesome n had an answer for any question we had about the food/drink menu. We have been coming to Edoko for at least 3 years and have never been disappointed. So Much appreciation for making my wife’s birthday dinner an experience. Keep up the great work!
Edoko is one of my "go to" restaurants. I have dined many, many times there and the food is always excellent. I will note that on my most recent visit the service was uncharacteristically slow, but our waitress did apologize that they were short-staffed that evening. The slow service only stood out because usually there are no service issues and so knowing this was an exception on this one occasion, and given that my group was not in a rush, I was not annoyed.
As always, the sushi was very fresh and the robata was delicious. The Geisha and Edoko Kiss rolls were particularly good, as was the bacon-wrapped scallop robata. Overall, a great dining experience and a restaurant I will continue to go to whenever I get hit by a craving for sushi.
Loved Edoko! I asked about Gluten Free options and the waiter brought me a separate menu that had at least a dozen GF options and some standard menu options that could be easily modified to be GF. He even brought GF soy sauce to the table without being asked! Great attention to detail. All of our food was attractive and delicious. I will definitely go back and would highly recommend it!
My girlfriend and I were celebrating and tried Edoko Sushi for the first time. I've only tried Sushi once or twice but my girlfriend loves sushi. Everything was prepared great and was wonderful. The cocktail I had was excellent and the service was wonderful. We will be back.
This is undoubtedly one of the best Japanese/sushi restaurants we've dined at. The food quality is first rate and the creativity of the sushi chefs is outstanding. I had a hot dish called Green Tea chicken which was a tender piece of chicken breast cooked with mushrooms and green tea sauce. Delicious. The sushi and rolls were of a level above most Japanese sushi restaurants. Needless to say, the service is exemplary.
I meet a date there that shared a love of sushi. We were meeting in Frisco. This was the first sushi place in Frisco I had been too. I went there based on a Yelp review.
Our first table was beneath a air conditioning vent and was cold with a high amount of air flow. We asked to be moved and they we very nice. Our new table was a perfect corner spot.
The food quality was good, but I was bummed about the lack of ability to buy sashimi a la cart. They had a $25 chef selection of 5 pre selected items. Neither of us liked the pre selected items and we wanted to select our own. But to select our own meant that we ha to buy 5 pieces each of any selected item at an average cost of $25.
We ended up ordering the rolls without rice. The quality was good. However, the rolls themselves were expense and large. So we ended up splitting two of them. I would have preferred a wider variety of more normal sized items. I cannot remember ever going to a sushi place with no side menu and pencil to select individual sushi and sashimi items.
On a more positive note, the service was fantastic!!!
We had just eaten at Edoko's a couple nights before this visit, but it was so good we wanted to return again. We were visiting the area and had been to Edoko a couple years before and remembered it as being an especially good Japanese/Sushi restaurant. The service is excellent and attentive.
On our previous visit, I had said to my friends that there were so many good sounding dishes that I'd like to come back soon. So we did. The rolls are generous but not just filled with rice. The sushi chefs strive to make each roll delicious and generous with fresh fish. I can't say I have a favorite one because each is different and each is fantastic. I ordered tempura veggies and shrimp as an appetizer which was just the way it should be. Another order was their version of the tuna tower, a huge presentation of chopped tuna, avocado, rice and crab all in layers. Incredible!
All the guests agreed that this place is terrific!
I love Edoko. I've been before. I picked it for a special occasion and was excited to go again. The food was fabulous. They accommodated a food allergy. They were not as good at filling our water glasses and our drinks were very slow to be served. I do want to say again the food was fabulous.
