Disappointing meal at GPI. Long wait for food to arrive. Some entrees were missing ingredients. At their price point, the food and service should be wonderful. Suggestion: stay at the hotel (also pricey), go to the spa and have dinner, off property, at one of Asheville’s fabulous restaurants.

We really enjoyed our visit to Grove Park Inn. The food was great and the setting was perfect. It was a bit pricey for a burger though.

My wife and I have dined at Edison twice in last 6 weeks. We enjoyed the view and ambiance. Waiters were very nice and helpful but food from kitchen was very slow getting to us. Entrees each time were fair but the dessert menu and actual desserts each time were so bad we thought about asking for refund.
Thanks

Edison has good food and beautiful views of the mountains, all in the historic Grove Park Inn. Especially nice at Christmas. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Disappointed again. Have tried the Terrace and the Edison. Food at both is mediocre at best and very overpriced for the quality

Service from Andrea was fantastic. Food was excellent as always. Got a table overlooking the front lawn. We come to Edison several times a year, and we feel lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber in Asheville.

The four of us dined at the Edison for our post-Thanksgiving meal just before looking at the annual Gingerbread House displays. Nice cozy table by the fireplace made for a beautiful evening!

This is the second time I've eaten in Edison and the food was not good unlike the first holiday meal I had. The seafood dishes were overwhelmed with lemon juice. The beet carpaccio was just flavorless ground beets. Overall the dishes were flavorless and unimaginative.

Overall very good, but price is more on par with big cities and just doesn't compare to other restaurants just around the corner in Asheville. It felt outrageous with $25 valet, $35 for two cocktails and over $300 for dinner for two. Nothing bad, but for that coin we expect more - especially with so many other great options in Asheville.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The staff was very attentive and pleasant and the food was amazing. Our waiter made an excellent wine selection to go with our dinner. We were seated right next to the window and the view was fantastic. I will definitely eat here again and highly recommend it.

My family and I always converge @ the Omni Grove Park Inn for Thanksgiving. The Edison is a fantastic evening meal go-to for the nights leading up to our big holiday gathering on Thursday. Just be sure to make reservations in advance as it's popular.

Made changes to appetizer order requesting ranch rather than blue cheese however still got blue cheese. At dinner order burger minus onion and lettuce with signature sauce in the side. It came with everything on it.

Stayed at Grove Park and had dinner on a Saturday night so I️ could watch college football games. Food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing, great selection of craft beers and cocktails. Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville. Recommend the burgers, shrimp n grits, reuben, and meatloaf.

Beautiful hotel so we expected better food. Caesar salad had watered down dressing with no taste. Crab cake was good. "Warm" peach cobbler was almost cold. Was really disappointed with the food.

Hidden Gem - we are from Edison, NJ so had to check out this restaurant while visiting Asheville - good choice - server was charming and told us all about the history of the Omni - as well as recommend good vegetarian entrees. The view is incredible - lots of cozy bars with fireplaces indoors as well as outside on the massive balconies - stop in the President Bar before dinner to play pool on a table from the 1800's that 7 presidents have played on - lots of history to read and learn about - would go back!!

This is the Grove Park's informal restaurant that clearly doesn't know what it wants to be. A sports bar with a view and multiple big screen TV's, but with $28 Fish & Chips and $16 average cocktails, it's an awkward mix that leaves a lot to be desired at an extremely high hit to the wallet. Nothing on the menu for kids. A lost leader.

The tomatoe pie should have been amazing for the price and the fact that our server recommended the dish. It was mediocre at best, and highly overpriced for a pile of sauteed vegetables. The burger that my husband ordered was decent.

Everything was great from the minute we were greated until we left. We came to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and first went to the bar to grab a couple drinks before our reservation. Elania was warm and inviting, very knowledgeable over the drinks and made great recommendations. We had already picked out what we wanted for dinner before we were sat, but Charlie confirmed that our selections were top knotch! Charlie made our night! So many laughs! He is one of those great employees that you can tell loves where he is, and definitely an entertainer at heart! We had the mussels and the smoked trout dip which were, in fact, top knotch. Maddy was the manager on duty and made a stop by to make sure everything was going well. Thank you Edison team!

Menu has changed with the new chef. The four of us could not quite find anything we really wanted. Ended up with the meatloaf - very dry and hard, and the sauce was puzzling ..a bit bitter. Maybe switch out the Kobe beef and try a real meatloaf recipe and the shrimp and grits were served on a spoonful of grits. It should have been called 'shrimp and corn'!! Really, don't skimp on ingredients when you are The Grove Park!! We have eaten on the Sunset Terrace before and lunched at Edison. ( last year) really like both. But Edison is not the same. All I would recommend is the bibb salad. But service was great, just not the food.
