    The good: Dinner was fantastic. Service was very good. The not-so-good: We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were not seated until 15 minutes after our reservation (why make a reservation if you still have to wait 25 minutes?!). Do better. Unfortunately Edison was also very loud and full of drunkards. We were expecting a refined, fine dining experience with some sports on TV in the background, not a bar scene with screaming, hooting, and hollering.

    We always enjoy Edison's. Great view from certain tables. Nice atmosphere. It is a casual place. Very relaxing. There are several TVs for sports fans. We typically get a selection of appetizers & salad. Always good. Will return!

    Amazing! We sat at a two top overlooking the grounds and the views were incredible. The food was outstanding and Kat was our server who did an amazing job. She was full of personality! Lovely.

    I made our reservation a month in advance and politely requested a table by the window. I stated that we were celebrating a birthday. We were given a table in the very front of the restaurant, far from any window. When I asked for a better table, the young man seating us said it wasn’t possible. However the nice lady at the front desk did get us a little better table. The food came out cold and our waitress was not very attentive. The Grove Park is an amazing place but the food isn’t.

    We enjoyed the meal, and the server was also very good. We were stuck in traffic and last minute realized we would be late. It was very difficult to contact the restaurant via phone, but we eventually got a message via the front desk and the reservation was modified. Only disappointment was one of our guests ordered grilled salmon to accompany his salad. Medium. It was obviously forgotten (in the oven I presume) because it did not arrive with the entrees and he had to remind the server. When it was delivered it was very well done and he did not eat it. But we took it home for the cat! Lol. The Ploughman's board and cocktails were delicious, and ample, reasonably priced and much enjoyed by our party.

    It's a lower cost alternative if you're visiting the Grove. The TAGLIATELLE noodles were a bit overcooked and the presentation of the JALAPEÑO BACON-WRAPPED BISON MEATLOAF was odd with the brussel sprouts between the sweet potatoes and the meatloaf. The orange tart dessert had a pastry crust that was unbreakable. Still, The food still was good, and the service was fine. Nothing to rave about, but a nice meal and experience anyway.

    Erin was wonderful help! We’re in town for our honeymoon and Edison was our first stop. Burger was fantastic and bolognese was okay. Drinks were very tasty, get the lemon chamomile gin fizz!

    Our Sunday lunch was fabulous. We had a variety of selections from the menu from kid's meals to adult entrees and each one was perfect. Service provider by Lisa was seemless and exceptional. We will be back

    The only thing upscale was the price. Seated right next to a serving station, rushed through the meal so they could turn the table. The speed with which the food came out suggests it was pre-prepared and plated. I definitely do not recommend.

    Disappointed. We have not been to the Grove Park Inn in 13 years, and likely will not return. Our table was in front of one of their fireplaces, and very nice. Horwever, that was the high point of our dining experience. The overall atmosphere was extremely noisy, between the very raucous crowd (we felt like we were at a Disney World Resort) and the janitorial staff nosiest wheeling garbage bins down the hallway past the restaurant, it was hardly what expects given the price of fare. Further, we were informed by our very rushed waiter (who frankly seemed overwhelmed at times) that the restaurant was overbooked and that the chef staff would only accept a full order (I.e., we could not order an appetizer and drink, and then decide later on our main… we needed to order the entire dinner). Our concern was in the pacing, which we were assured by the waiter would not be rushed. Wrong. We had not even finished our appetizers when our mains arrived. In fact, the glass of wine that my wife ordered after her appetizer cocktail had not even arrived in time to match her main. The food was good, but compared to the two other dinners we ate in downtown Asheville, it would rank last. We had such fond memories of first class service and food in our previous three visits to the Inn over a decade ago - clearly, such first class service is no longer the goal. The intent seems more to push as many customers through as possible. While we look forward to future visits to Asheville, the Grove Park Inn - to incisive its restaurants - will no longer be a part of our itinerary.

    Great place to eat. One person got salmon and it was great. Other 2 got burgers and they were dry, not great tasting but fries were really good. Dessert was fabulous!

    Everyone at the table loved their food. I had the Asheville Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was very tough and made it not enjoyable. I really couldn’t chew it. The fries were good and drinks were amazing. As I said everyone loved their food.

    A delicious meal and yummy cocktails! Our reservation started on time and the staff was friendly and helpful. We even witnessed a wedding proposal on the mountain view deck.

    We love Edison restaurant, and visit yearly in the fall from Texas. Since I have Celiac Disease, it’s imperative that my food is gluten free. When I specifically asked the waitress for mine and my daughter’s food to be gluten free, I was a little sad that my salad was served with croutons and our chicken was undercooked. Our waitress was very sweet and kind, so I’m not sure where the mix up happened, but I hope it doesn’t happen again.

    Always feels special having a meal at grove park. Waiter was friendly and professional. Cocktails and dessert were really well done. Really nice evening and there were nice touches since we we’re celebrating a birthday.

    We love Edisons. Live next door. They have always been ideal in all categories. Today, we sat for 20 minutes waiting to be seated. There were only two servers for the entire restaurant. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes. Our waitstaff was pleasant, efficient, and professional. We are hoping that the staffing issues is resolved. This is a favorite restaurant.

    Very disappointed. Edison's was our favorite dining experience until this visit. They were clearly understaffed. We weren't seated until 20 minutes after our reservation; and only after asking if we should just go to the Terrace. Our prior visits had been 5-star service; sadly not this time.
