I took my best friend here for her birthday brunch and we had a great time! Food and drinks were amazing. The server was nice. Things took a bit longer than I thought they would but we weren’t in a rush so I didn’t have a problem with it. All in all we had an amazing experience!
The menu options are very unique and very tasty. The chairs are horrible.
Worth a try for foodies
It felt like the service was shorthanded. The wine menu was forgotten when we seated.
Also, at the time of making the reservation, it asked if it was a special occasion, and it was a birthday celebration. I was a little disappointed that there was not one mention of this by anyone at the restaurant.
Server was aware of possible need to get orders in quickly as many customers seemed to be going off to a show. The restaurant emptied out about 7:45 as a result of this.
Arrived earlier than reservations but was able to be seated anyway to take advantage of happy hour.
Food was good but would have enjoyed seeing some of the dishes from "dine out menu"
Always an interesting menu, well prepared and served quickly.
Great food and service!! Love the local ingredients used throughout menu. Their store has fabulous locally made gourmet food items to take home!
Perfect for girls night. Food and drinks were fantastic and it was the perfect ambience for conversation. It cleared out quite early so next time we would probably make a reservation for earlier in the evening so we're not the last ones there.
Was seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. Even though our table was empty on arrival. Food was sat at the counter eating to be brought out and once served was cold. Understaffed and unaware.
Local and healthy food choices . Deliciously prepared and reasonably priced for the quality you receive.
Delicious food. Love that they provide specialty salt for you to season your food with. Awesome location. We all enjoyed walking our lunch off as we browse the market afterwards.
Outstanding lunch in every respect. Excellent accommodation for a gluten sensitive guest. We will return often.
Always great wait staff
The service was excellent: our glasses was promptly filled with water, the server took pains to explain the different dishes to us and made personal recommendations, and most importantly he was genuinely courteous. The portion was small but the quality was decent. I was however expecting some pizzazz at this price range. The fries of the duck poutine taste no different from those that you get from New York fries but the duck was definitely the highlight. Juicy and tender with just the right amount of salt. Overall it was a good experience.
Great service-good waiters. Friendly and multilingual staff. French and Spanish spoken. This was much appreciated.
Good food and solid service as always. Our go to place for a variety of settings, from special occasions and business meals.
We ate at Edible Canada for Valentine's Day. They had a four course $50 menu which was excellent, as well as a wine flight available for pairings. The regular menu always features many local foods and the valentine's menu was no exception. This restaurant is really a hidden gem and flies under the radar, I think due to its name and location on Granville Island. The food is fine-dining quality and rivals that of Bishops Farmer's Apprentice.
They do need to work on their service, which is good, but not at the same level as the food.
We had a short period of time to eat and get to the theatre production across the street from the restaurant. The waitstaff was very accommodating. We ordered the fish and chips and is was very fresh tasting. We also had the chocolate brownie for dessert which was great. We were able to have coffee and pay our bill in time to see our show! I'd go back again.
Food was great, service less so - we had been there less than an hour when the hostess stopped by and asked if we wanted our bill. We asked instead if we could order hot chocolate... she twice asked if we wanted them to go. When we did ask for the bill maybe 10 minutes later, the pleasure and relief on her face was evident. Not a great way to wrap up an otherwise nice brunch.
Disappointing food and service. Reservations for 7:00 pm and chairs stacked around us at 8:20 pm. What??? They decide to close early but we weren’t informed at time of reservation or seating. No such thing as as leisure dinner before the show. I had great hopes for this restaurant but food was mediocre and our server couldn’t wait to leave. Not attentive. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back
Reliably delicious, locally sourced cuisine that is worth seeking out on Granville Island. Excellent, unobtrusive service in a casually elegant atmosphere.
My cousin who joined me for lunch has lived in Vancouver area all her life and had never been to Edible Canada.......she was simply blown away.
It was perfect as usual. Always a pleasure.
From start to finish- wonderful, delicious, congenial. Located in a must visit destination in Vancouver surpassing by far regular tourist food expectations.
A very good dine out experience. I would go back.
Service was great. Caesar was fun. Food was delivered fast - eggs on the Benny cooked perfectly. Everything tasted good - but nothing was over the top stellar (for the price).
Very busy place is a good sign at a restaurant. Our first time to Edible Canada and enjoyed the tasty dishes on the dineout menu. I would recommend this restaurant and will return.
Finally a dine out option that didn’t feel like the quality was negatively affected by the set price. Overall the food was delicious and we had a lovely time.
Positively loved the creativeness of the food and the fact that all ingredients are Canadian sourced. The menu is so unique. Every staff member that we came in contact with were very excellent and pleasant. Only downside was that the restaurant was crowded and noisy but that was probably ue to the fact it was Dine-out-Vancouver event. Definitely will be going back.
Good food for Dine Out 2018.
We were there for the Special Dine-out event and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cuisine by a First Nations Chef.
We found the restaurant rather noisy and the sitting arrangement very uncomfortable.
But we were there for the food and it was fantastic.
Dinner was really good! Great restaurant but even with a reservation for 9pm and several empty tables, we still had to wait until close to 9:15 to get seated. Waiter was excellent and knew his menu extremely well!!
Excellent, fresh, local and interesting food. And fantastic service. Worth the bit of a wait we had after our reservation time.
We went for Dine Out Vancouver. food was great and service was excellent.
We were seated across from the bar and it was really busy with staff.
Ask for a table away from the door and away from the bar.
The uniquely Canadian and First Nations chef inspired menu was the main attraction and the food did not disappoint. The service was outstanding and even though it was a Dine Out venue, there was no pressure to rush through the meal and make way for the next reservation.
The atmosphere and the surroundings very warm and welcoming.
A great Dine Out Vancouver experience!!
Edible Canada is in a great location@ Granville Island with healthy delicious menu items using local ingredients.
Went with friends for dine out vancouver. Service is excellent and accommodating. Great food!
Edible Canada is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver (top 3 in a city where we're spoiled for choice!) and they brought their A Game to Dine Out. It was hard to choose from all of the interesting and exciting options, and I settled on the seal tataki, turkey leg, and bannock, and my partner went for the oysters, elk medallions, and berry pudding. Every bite was incredible. I love the way that Edible encourages patrons to experience creative Canadian cuisine by offering such an impressive array of options. They also offer some of the best and most unique cocktails in the city. We were delighted. Keep up the excellent work!
Great, attentive service (water always filled), friendly. Good food. Recommend the vegetarian felafel bowl--excellent combo of roasted veggies and hummus.
Had a terrific dinner and enjoyable evening during Dine Out Vancouver. The food at Edible Canada is always excellent and interesting!
We enjoyed the attentive service, use of Canadian ingredients, great beer list, and the value of our meal. I can happily recommend Edible Canada as a good place to visit, even during Dine Out. Where one usually expects minimal service, huge crowds, and no time to linger, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, attention, and leisure.
