Edible Canada at the Market
There was good vibes in the restaurant when we came in - service was prompt and friendly and the food was very good - the red wine was too warm but our server Andrew? took care of it.
This is a pleasant spot for a quick meal if you are at the Granville Markets. Small but interesting food and wine menus, and seemed to offer something for everyone. The fish was fresh. It was also great to see steak offered as a side dish, so my husband was able to order the salad for the entree, which makes for perfect portion sizing.
Amazing, as always. Ate there twice in 24 hours (c:
Gluten free fish and chips were delicious! Server was very attentive. Edible is worth bringing friends to.
Good variety and portions. Food beautifully presented and delicious. We were seated on time and didn’t feel rushed during dinner. Service was great!
We went for our anniversary. The dinner experience was so special it was like a dream. Thank you for making out 20 year anniversary perfect!
Great service and food. We enjoyed the food. Place is very nice
We went for dinner before our show at Arts Club. Perfect spot. You get 15% off your meal if you are going to the show! Food is fresh and delicious! Great for everyday dining, or get together with friends, or even date night! Highly recommend!
Great food and service that I've come to expect at Edible Canada.
I’m surprised to get an email from Open Table saying we didn’t show, because we were there, gave our name and were greeted like they expected us. Our waiter was very attentive and knew we were going to the theatre after. I had the excellent fish and chips and my husband had squid which he said was very nice.
It's a nice space and great for a casual lively social meal; not really a place for a quiet romantic dinner, though. There was a wide selection of beverages: cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options. Our food was tasty although not exceptional, and our portion sizes were very small for the price.
Casual valentines dinner with a restaurant you can’t go wrong with
The food was good, not great, and the portions were small. Despite my reservation and a not-too-busy restaurant we were seated at a lousy table. The server was semi-attentive, but certainly could have been better. Overall a so-so experience for the price.
Service was top notch. A previous experience encouraged me to book for Dine Out but, I was disappointed with the food this time. Three out of the four different appetizers we had were great with perfect wine pairings as well. Unfortunately, two of us chose the salmon entree and it was clearly overcooked and bland... no issue with portion size or presentation. I believe that, had we complained, they would have replaced it and understand that these things can happen on a busy night but I would have felt bad for the server and chose not to(have also never done this before). Dessert was only OK. It may not deter us from going back but cooks need to be more careful and willing to redo if not up to par even if it means keeping two other dishes warm while waiting...I would have preferred the wait with an explanation rather than a ruined dish.
I’ve been to Edible several times and been very happy. This time the server took quite awhile to acknowledge us and food left a bit to be desired. There were workers everywhere, just not our server for a good 5 or 10 min. We came for Dineout and notwithstanding lack of menu selection (without surcharges) we both ended up ordering the salmon. Both were overdone and both were tiny pieces of fish. The appetizers were excellent though.
Visited for Dine Out Vancouver 2019. For $35, we thought the value wasn't there - the lamb shoulder pasta entree was small in size and only had a few morsels of lamb. The salmon entree was dry and had clearly been mass-prepared. Worst of all, the arctic char tempura appetizer came on a bed of kale that was past its prime, and caused one of our party gastrointestinal distress for the rest of the evening. The service was alright and the location is nice - this restaurant is also quite noisy though.
Was a great Dine our Vancouver experience. Excellent food.
Overall a little too rushed - I know it was Dine Out time, so didn’t take it too critical.
We had the Dine Out Vancouver menu and it was quite awesome. We all had the foraged mushroom tagliatelle and it was delicious. My husband and I both had the Pork Chop and our daughter had the Crispy Skin Salmon. Not a bite was left of any of it. For dessert she had the Mousse and we had the Apple & Pear Tart. Also very good. 2 of us got the wine pairings and they were also very good. It may not be THE most inventive place in town, but it's quite good and a very good value, especially with Dine Out Vancouver.
Went for DOV 2019, ambiance changed from few years ago, more casual now. Food was salty.
Lots of very unique and delicious dinner options! All fresh (and mostly local) ingredients - super flavourful ... the portions are kind of small (for the price)... but every bite delicious!
Amazing service, wonderful and creative cocktails, and great food! Dine Out menu is a solid deal. This year's offering was a bit less exciting in terms of ingredients (the seal meat last year was particularly a treat!), but everything was delicious and beautiful!
We enjoyed our evening out. The food was good and the service was amazing. I would definitely go back!
The menu at Edible Canada is an interesting creation of Canadian products prepared very nicely. The Pacific Octopus entree is a special treat. Service is very attentive and friendly. This Granville Island restaurant is well worth visiting.
2 days ago, I went to Edible for dine out Vancouver. I ordered Surf & Turf which was $15 on top of 3-course dinner. Some of choices from the menu had to pay exact. Service was 8.5/10, seatings were 8/10, taste of food was 9/10, and portion of food was 6.5/10. Overall was 7/10. A little bit disappointed.
Amazing restaurant & space.
Went for Dine Out Vancouver, and was definitely impressed.
The vibe was great, I loved that you can see everything as it happens, the chefs creating the delicious food using local ingredients.
I’ve already recommended this place to many friends.
The Bone Marrow & Octopus were excellent. And the wine paired with the meal was a great fit.
Excellent service from the attentive server, as well.
I was at Edible Canada for Dineout 2019, and the food was DELICIOUS and far exceeded my expectations. Service was lovely, the place was cozy, and the creative sodas were amazing. Definitely recommend.
Great service, and excellent food.
I love Edible Canada! Terrific Salmon Po Buoy! As fun as eating chicken strips but a thousand times tastier.
Server was very nice, full of smile, and made us feel welcomed. Food we got were very good: roasted bone marrow, Arctic char tempura (very nice kale dressing and yummy squash), lamb ragu pasta (love the spicy twist), pork chop. Very nice dessert too. Will visit again to check out their regular offerings.
Very small portions for the price
Super delicious and amazing staff! I only wish the portions were a little bigger, but I supposed you pay for the experience as well.
We went for dineout. Excellent menu choice and quality.
Fabulous service. Excellent appetizers and dessert. Main course Salmon was dry, over-cooked, rubbery and lacked flavour.
Those that ordered the lamb and the risotto main dishes said they were excellent.
Wonderful food and terrific staff. We where there for dine out Vancouver
Food was ok, but the waiters were nice and accommodating. Salmon was definitely overcooked. The 'lobster' in the surf 'n turf was tiny. Wine pairing was appropriate for the food. Not a bad place, just not memorable.
Tried out the restaurant during Dine Out Vancouver week. Tasty menu with plenty of options.
Overrated. Portions are small, plating is uninspiring and service is spotty at best. Do NOT order the bread basket. Most restaurants give more for free than the $5 you'll waste on it.
The meal was ok, Tempura Arctic Char was the best course but the entree - Crispy Skin Salmon - was more soggy than crispy. Our three courses came out one after the other in such quick succession we had finished within an hour and therefore felt kind of rushed :-( Had been really looking forward to the meal as a date night for the week, but it wasn't very memorable sadly.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It is close to all the theatres, and the stores. Great selection of Canadian food you can buy in the shop. Thanks.
Not worth the dime. It’s Vancouver — you get twice amount the food of the same quality or better under 60 bucks.
Rob a bank next time.
