   Very glad we chose this restaurant. Had a fun vibe and food quite good. Salads were excellent, Trout dish was also fantastic and Schnitzel a hit too. Tried both the Apple Strudel and Chocolate cake and would get both again. Only thing that was so so was liptauer spread, otherwise great meal.

   I had been hearing about this place for a while, and we finally tried it. First, the cocktails are delicious (I had the gin and St. Germaine, my husband had the bourbon)! For dinner, we shared a very good roasted pear salad, the brussels sprouts with chorizo (spicy!), and the duck. Everything was delicious. The place itself is charming. There was a tiny confusion about our reservation, and our server was apologetic about seating us at the long communal table, but we didn't mind at all, plenty of room. It was a bit loud, but I imagine just about any East Village restaurant at 10pm on a Friday would be. The service overall was great. We'll definitely be back.

   We were just in NY for a weekend getaway. I learned about these guys from “knife fight” and always wanted to check it out. The place is very cozy, the food and service was great. We’ll definitely be back again.

   One of the best quality for the price. The food was delicious and pickled vegetables were fresh and fantastic. I am not a veggie eater but these were a great way to slip in some veggies with a great taste.

    Food was terrible. It's a day later and it's still repeating on me. Had the Spaetzle and Schnitzel that everyone online recommended. It was very disappointing in terms of taste. Service was a little bizarre. Waiter was nice, but forgot about us a lot - even though there were only 6 people in the restaurant. Our appetizer arrived with our meal even though they were just fries? Drinks at a good happy hour value were the only good thing about this place. Really disappointing experience, would not go back.

    We went during restaurant week. The offerings were all things that could be found on the regular menu. When we arrived, it was quiet with purposefully distressed decor and dim lighting. By the end of the night, the noise level was high (level of a lively bar). For apps, we had the roasted pear salad and ribs the ribs were not great but, still very good. The salad was average. For entrees, we had the roasted trout w/root vegetables and the schnitzel w/lignonberry compote. The trout was good and the vegetables were very good. The schnitzel was dry. The lingonberry compote was okay. For dessert, we had the chocolate lava cake and apple strudel. The cake was very good; just the right consistency and portion. The strudel was good; on the sweeter side but, the perfect combination of crispy and chewy. Both were accompanied by a dollop of whipped cream. The service was fantastic. A very attentive crew which was impressive given how busy it got as the night went on. While I’d go again, I wouldn’t rush back.

    We were seated at a table where one person is in the way of traffic which is rather annoying. Dirty water glasses were on our table when we were seated. We flagged down a waiter to get us new ones. The white wine was not cold. Was told that the cooler was broken.

    Loved the Austrian food and the wonderful service but not the ambiance. We sat shoulder to shoulder with other guests and it was so loud that we could barely understand each other.

    Great night here. I've been 2-3x before and typically a bit busier but this was a cold Jan night and only a few other diners in the restaurant. Bar and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Love the spaetzel for dinner, and octupus appetizer.

    We had a wonderful time for our dinner. It was my wife’s birthday. We had very good food and delicious wine. The temperature was very warm. Eventually the staff made the temperature more tolerable. The staff had very strong foreign accents and a little hard to understand, but very nice. They did the best they could to communicate. We would definitely give the restaurant another visit.

    Need to fix the door. we are seated by the door and every time someone enters the door bangs very loud. food was okay. could have gotten that somewhere cheaper and better. although i really liked the brussel sprout and chorizo. and the peach martini

    This is our favorite place to dine at. We come back very frequently and it never disappoints. The service is incredible - it’s always the same people working and they always treat everybody with such kindness and attention. It is truly the individuals who make up a team that contribute to the general feeling of how successful that team is, and Edi and the Wolf hit the nail right on the head! Can’t wait for another excuse to ask my boyfriend to take me there ;)

    Our go-to restaurant for both celebrations and casual weekend dining. Cozy seating where you will be close to your friends, without ever feeling crowded or squished. Amazing food and ambiance. Staff is very outgoing and friendly, ready to help with any request.

    I've lost count of how many times we've been to Edi & The Wolf. One of my favorite restaurants in the city by far. The food is consistently amazing, the service is always kind and attentive, and the ambiance is unbeatable. Recommend the schnitzel and the spatzle, as well as whatever fish is on the menu. Always incredible!

    This is a cozy spot. The space is big enough that you don't feel over-cramped but still has that cozy feel to it. The food was delicious. I wouldn't describe the food as totally Austrian, but rather Austrian-inspired. We were 4 and all had different main dishes - we all enjoyed whatever we ordered! We shared starters and they were great too (definitely recommend the octopus & the broccoli/chorizo). The service was top notch, we asked to move from the common table once one of the tables on the side opened up and they easily accommodated our request. We were celebrating a birthday and when we asked for a candled dessert, the staff asked us for the name of the person celebrating - just a nice personalized touch that shows they're being attentive and not just rolling people in and out.

    We absolutely loved this restaurant and can't wait to go back. Boyfriend got the raw oysters and weiner schnitzel pork. I got the short ribs and chocolate souffle dessert. Everything was amazing. I was also here 8 months ago shirt ribs were just as amazing so they are definitely consistent!

    Felt a little impersonal as we were seated but no engagement by staff. This was thanksgiving and we chose to spend it there, I’m Austrian by decent and know restaurants there are more of a family feel know matter where you’re from. I came with my three kids, one flew in from Milan, the other from Houston and my oldest from Chelsea... I’d love to come back and see your usual menu and hang out again
