Me and wife had the most wonderful dinner here. The service was excellent and very friendly especially John-our table server, he is super nice and excellent server. The food was great. We had appetizers Foie Gras and salad and it was delicious. My wife had filet mignon and it was right on. And my lamb was so good. My Moscow mule is just a bit too sweet. Our dinner was right on the sunset time, and our table was right at window where we enjoy our most romantic dinner. The lake view and sunset with candle light dinner. Two thumb up.
Service and food was excellent. Beautiful setting. Best restaurant in Tahoe. Relaxing environment
Risotto was horrible and no flavor. Ordered a glass of wine and the waitress forgot until the bill was set on the table. Our friend is allergic to onions which was deeply expressed upon ordering and they delivered her filet with onions on her plate. Extremely disappointed.
Stunning views, wonderful ambiance, excellent service, the food was phenomenal. We will be back!
Excellent service!! Food was delicious.. thanks guys for the hospitality and the great views. Extremely satisfied
On vacation and looking for the best view and best food. Hands down the best view and food we experienced in Lake Tahoe. Steak was perfect. Sea Bass was excellent. Salted Caramel Ice Cream...homemade and Awesome! Johnny, our waiter, can't say enough about his service.
Unfortunately, I ate here when it was dark out, so I missed the view! My wife and I stayed at the Hotel next door and loved everything about it. The room was spacious and clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the food in the Bistro was delicious. That's why I was so disappointed with my experience at the Restaurant. In comparison to the Hotel, the building appeared dated; its finishings did not match the beauty of its setting. The food was fine, but neither of the two entrees that we shared met the bar of delicious--not even close. It was probably the staff that we found most odd. Their appearance was unkempt, not neat like the people working at the Bistro. Their mannerisms were odd, like they were not accustomed to dealing with the general public on a regular basis. Our waiter was overly obsequious, while our drinks server, who had a French accent, played that up too much, but neglected to regularly pour our Champagne. We got to it twice before he topped us off--and we were not drinking fast. All in all, there was nothing awful, but I felt cheated when I had to pay the ~$150 bill, an amount I'm perfectly willing to pay on occasion for a nice meal out with my wife.
Amazing views of Lake Tahoe. Great food. Eclectic menu and great service. A must when you are visiting Tahoe.
Come for the view, stay for the food.
We have made an annual pilgrimage to Edgewood since accidentally discovering it about 6 years ago. Get there at sunset and request a booth. The rest sort of wouldn't even matter but the food and service are actually outstanding and the wine list has enough value that this 'splurge' evening isn't so expensive after all. We split a salad and had filet mignon, always beautifully prepared, and halibut. My only complaint would be that the potato spiral under the meat was undercooked but everything else was spot on. We will absolutely return.
It was the best meal I had the whole time I was in Tahoe.
The view is spectacular and the food absolutely incredible.
I highly recommend the elk. The artichoke appetizer was amazing.
We all loved this restaurant.
Wonderful service, also
There is a reason we come here for our last dinner of ski week. When snow levels cooperate we take a group picture on the beach before cocktails at the bar. A lot of the time we enjoy watching the wedding reception going on next to the bar. Get a sunset reservation so you can watch the sun go down over the mountains, and the changing colors. The food is great, nicely presented and more than enough. Service is friendly and prompt.
Once again a fabulous meal with excellent service! Greg and John are awesome!
Great service, perfectly cooked meals apps and drinks. One of the best places overall we have been. Girl friend tasked me with the job of trying to find a better place. Going to be a hard task.

Wonderful food and service!
My sons birthday and we loved it!!!
The food was amazing, good price. I can’t wait to go bsck
Such a beautiful place, amazing food and so romantic! Ask for Guy, he was the best!!!
The service was AMAZING!! What a perfect dining experience. Our waiter was the most attentive and friendly server I have ever encountered. Also, I think he was psychic. The food was great. The artichoke hearts are delicious!!! I was impressed. Thank you for wonderful and memorable dining experience.
Great food, beautiful setting. We'll go back again.
The view was spectacular for a sunset dinner. Food was amazing....Sea Bass was hands down the best i've ever had! Ambiance was very romantic and the service was great too! Would definitely eat here again!
Very gracious service along with excellent food and view
An amazing experience. We got married here and visit every chance we get when we visit. Service and food are amazing. They always make you feel welcome. We will b coming here forever.
Extraordinary view! We shared the beet salad to start, tasty. Entrees were filet mignon and veal peso buca, both great!! Duckhorn 2013 Merlot was wonderful!
The view can’t be beat. Our service was excellent and our dinner superb. Looking forward to returning in the future.
Our server was not the best like in the past. The wait between courses was too long. Never had this happen before . The menu was a little bit changed. Unfortunately what I tried , I didn't like. My husbands rack of lamb was awesome as it usually is. I should have stuck with that and not try something new!
It was our second time to this restaurant and it was just as amazing as the first. This our go-to for any special occasion in South Lake Tahoe. Food is amazing, staff is amazing, and the views are the best I've found. Ask for a booth facing the lake and go before sunset. We can't wait to go back!
Impeccable service, wine list and excellent options on menu. Beautiful setting overlooking Lake Tahoe. A restaurant worthy of a special occasion.
Gorgeous View!!! Visiting from upstate NY... I will come back again and again! Loved Tahoe and Loved this restaurant!
Great view of lake and mountains, service and food fabulous. Would return any time.
We had another wonderful dinner at Edgewood that was worth the drive from the Valley. In addition to the great view of the Lake (for which you need to arrive very early in winter), we loved all our dishes. The preparations of the scallops, pork belly, and foie gras were especially creative and delicious, and the cherry relish on the elk chop and the herb crust on the rack of lamb were also very tasty. We also each had to order our own peanut butter chocolate macaron, as it is one of our favorite desserts in all our travels (especially the fabulous peanut butter buttercream). We highly recommend all our dishes, although we did hear that they will be changing the menu soon.
Every step of the process from seating to service and everything was phenomenal. The food was absolutely incredible. Everything was full of flavor and was perfectly plated. The service was impeccable; I definitely felt like we were well cared for. This was a very special dining experience.
We had a wonderful time. The restaurant is on the Lake and has an amazing view. We did take the time to see when sun set would be, to ensure we were able to enjoy the view. And near the end of our meal I over heard a few new dinners complaining about the lack of view that they had originally come there to enjoy. I only have one thing to say about that. It is no ones fault but your own to think that you will see the Lake and the Mountain rang from the lit restaurant at 9:30 at night. The server was fun and personable. The wine list was a bit thin and lacked variety. However, that did not cause a wrinkle to our experience. We checked their list prior and brought our own wine for our tastes. Our meal was prepared perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. Even to the end when they brought us a dessert on the house. It was well balanced and exquisite. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome, the view was (even on a bit overcast day) breath taking, and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful way for us to celebrate our anniversary.
My family and I are from put of town, when in South Lake Tahoe, we searched for the best restaurants in town... Edgewood Restaurant did not disappoint!
The ambiance was great, the view was great, the service was great and the food was delicious!
It's a must!!!
Nice setting and the service was good, but the food had no flavor and was not worth the price
We make a point of eating here whenever we come to Tahoe because it is such a special dining experience. And our dinner here the other night did not disappoint. Beautiful setting, terrific service and delicious food from their exceptional bread right on through to dessert. I had seafood risotto and my husband had the Kubota pork chop and both were prepared. Definitely worth it.
The food and ambiance were fantastic. It was everything we hoped it would be!
Had a wonderful time with the wife here! Service was great, food was delicious and for a high end restaurant is Tahoe, the prices are really reasonable. My wife and I will be coming here every time we visit.
Great food and great chefs especially Chris Mason what a great service we had from him thanks so much for the great dinner.
We had an absolutely lovely meal at Edgewood for my husband’s birthday. We made a reservation for 5pm. We were the first couple seated, and they gave us the best table in the house. Every table has an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and very kind. They had a lovely wine selection and prices were decent for bottles. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our favorite item was the hamachi - the wasabi sauce was out fo this world! We would definitely come back in the future!
Food was outstanding, service was excellent. I only wish I didn't live so far away because I would love to frequent this restaurant.
