First time out to a restaurant in a few months. It was our anniversary and for the second year in a row we went to Edgewood.
Server Nick was great as was all the Edgewood Team.
We will be back again for sure
My husband and I went to the Edgewood on 5/30 and had a great experience. The staff was safe and professional. The food was outstanding. Overall, we will absolutely be coming back on our next trip to Tahoe.
Great food ,great service overall experience was fantastic.
Food is always excellent. Great attention to CDC guidelines. Our server Lisa was outstanding!
We had a great evening with great food and service, I will be returning. The price is high but very worth it.
The food was fabulous. The view was stunning. But the service was AMAZING! We had a child with us and the staff served us very well and made us feel really at home. Our waiter Aaron was sweet and accommodating. I will be coming back as soon as possible.
Perfect Mahalos to the staff
Wine was ok. Seems, Chief pretend to make fast food in haute cuisine manner not successfully overall. Fish was over salted and to be honest that’s not good value for money.
Good food and excellent service. The staff extremely nice.
Despite having multiple reservation times open, we were seated on the far left table where the view (which is the main reason why anyone comes here) was blunted. When we complained to the manager, the manager listened to our concerns and comped us dessert, but did not do much about the seating. The food was overpriced and was frankly bland. I would not recommend this place.
Visiting Tahoe this is a must see/experience restaurant especially at sunset
We had a great experience for our last night in South Tahoe. I definitely would recommend this place for dinner and would time it around sunset to take advantage of the amazing views
Outstanding in every way possible. I enjoyed the pine smoked elk. This entree was excellently prepared. A meal memory I will reflect upon fondly. Cheers to the staff and especially the chef at the Edgewood Resort Restaurant.
The service was great and everyone had a friendly attitude.
Another fabulous dinner and dining experience! Trevor, our waitor, was awesome and attentive!
Lovely across the board!
Anniversary dinner—we had a wonderful Dinner.
Our waiter was very informative, attentive, to our needs.
We love the beautiful dining room. Would recommend
And would certainly come again for a special occasion.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing place. Will be back ASAP.
We love enjoying special anniversary and birthday dinners at Edgewood and have been dining there for 8+ years! This year, we enjoyed our dinner, food is still excellent. However, the portions are much smaller, plated and designed beautifully, but not as hearty as the meals have been in the past. Our waiter was professional but not very friendly and the menu was much smaller. We will dinehere again but with different expectations.
Everything we experienced was wonderful, and the food was by far the best of fine dining in NV. The hostess Elena made the evening special for our 25th wedding anniversary by her kind words and actions. She checked on us throughout the evening. We would recommend this restaurant and lodge to everyone.
I'll keep it simple.....1st Class all the way!!!! View, Service, Food, Wine list!!!!
Amazing food and great views. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
I couldn’t decided what I wanted to eat, I was looking for salmon, and it wasn’t offered. Our waiter made a suggestion for the smoked trout and the scallops. The smoked trout was good, but the scallops were amazing!! I would definitely get them again.
And the chocolate desserts, what can I say. They were so exquisite the textures and flavors were very enjoyable!!
Very nice place to eat. Quiet with a great view!
The menu was outstanding with preparations that resonated with familiarity yet utilized differing proteins. The options were plentiful and properly sized. The service is top notch with multiple servers discretely attending to your needs. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
Always good but rarely great, best food in the area by far.
We went on our honeymoon as we stayed at Edgewood Tahoe. We were not impressed with the food at all. It for sure doesn’t add up to the price we payed. The only thing we enjoyed were the rolls and butter. And also the dessert plate. We order scallops for an app. The scallops came out very jiggly. And fishy. We also ordered lobster pasta. The pasta was good but lobster wasn’t cooked enough. It was very questionable and the way it smells and looks, was not at all appetizing. Spent $140 for food we didn’t enjoy.
Very nice restaurant and view, super delious food and great customer service ❤️
Enjoyed our anniversary dinner in Feb 2020. The service was top notch. Our waiter and the whole wait staff was fantastic, very attentive but not bothersome. They were very informative with each entree and wine. Our food was excellent quality. We would highly recommend the elk loin and cheesecake!
Absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. The view was worth every minute and the food topped it off!
We made reservations to celebrate the completion of cancer treatment for my wife. The young lady who took the updated reservation and greeted us when we arrived was fantastic. The restaurant atmosphere was great and the food was outstanding. We will definitely return.
It was our anniversary and the food and service was outstanding. We heard that was the place to go and it did not disappoint. Definitely will be back again next time we are in town.
Great service. Excellent food. Wonderful birthday dinner.
I made this reservation as a surprise for my best friend and she loved it when we got there. Not only was there a spectacular view and ambiance, the food and service were amazing.
Everything was top notch
My wife and I are 'Chart House' refugees. It was our place for special occasions. Sadly, it has deteriorated so much in the last 30 years that we decided to give Edgewood a try because it is relatively new.
Edgewood restaurant is a very impressive setting. No expense was spared on the craftsmanship of the building and the view is second to none. I am a 50 year Tahoe native so I have seen just about everything from every angle at the lake. You will be thoroughly impressed.
With that being said, I doubt we will be back. It's not that the place is bad, it is just that if we drop close to $300 (tip and $30 corkage fee included) for dinner (two drinks, two appetizers, two entrees), you gotta have it together. As mentioned in other reviews, the portions are extremely small. The 'entrees' are appetizer size and the 'appetizers' are, well tiny. Everything was presented very nicely. They do a good job there. The two small medallions (silver dollar size) of elk was very good. Just wish I could have had another bite for $58. The pasta for the lobster pappardelle was in one solid lump. Really guys? We are still looking for the lobster.
The wait support staff is excellent. The water boy/busser (young man) was attentive, not intrusive. The appetizer waiter/bread guy, again attentive not intrusive. The waiter on the other hand, needs to refocus. After he had welcomed us, taken our drink order, explained the menu, he just kept talking. Because we were one of the only guests at that time, he seemed bored and wanted to keep talking about how great everything was and how much he didn't know. My wife is a classically trained chef (Le Cordon Bleu, USA) and does not want to hear extended dialogue about "flavour profiles" and the other BS that went on and on. Leave us alone. Which is what happened when other patrons came in.
Please have the decency to dress appropriately. This is a very nice place. Paul Bunyan and his wife both in flannel shirts and dirty jeans were seated next to us.
My husband and our friends had a wonderful dining experience at Edgewood Restaurant on Sunday night. The service was excellent. The dishes were perfectly optioned and delicious. We enjoyed a bottle of our own wine as well as a bottle from the list, which allowed for our corkage fee for be waived. Dessert was our favorite part of the meal. The next time we find ourselves in South Lake Tahoe, we will be sure to dine here again. Thank you!
The hostess was welcoming. They hung our coats. Ambiance was exquisite. Our waiter Chris was knowledgeable on all the drinks and food. Waiters gathered our food as to make room for dessert and drinks. Made our Anniversary special with an ice cream that was delicious. Would recommend this place to friends. Thank you for making our experience memorable.
Nice restaurant offers a great lake view.
We had an early dinner here and was seated at a table facing directly to the window for a beautiful sunset view/experience, which was really nice!
It wasn’t a busy Tuesday night, and there’s only one other table was occupied. My husband and I wanted to take in the beautiful sunset view before it disappeared. We ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy. However our server kept rushing us and asking if we were ready to order our meal, which was a bit annoying!
For appetizer we had foie gras(meh), and sea scallops(tasty). For entrees I ordered the duck (was cooked okay) and my husband had the New York strip steak(asked for medium rare but came out medium). Both dishes served with sauce and the sauces was pretty tasty.
Overall, we feel this restaurant is a little over rated on the food, but it does offer an awesome lake view!
Our second time dining at Edgewood and another great experience. The elk is highly recommended.
