EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery Ratings and Reviews
I had a really nice time and was very happy with the atmosphere and my food. I was surprised that for being a winery, there was only one sauvignon blanc option by the glass and it was their private label. My girlfriend ordered the cab and it was the same thing. I get that they're advertising their private labels (and joining the wine club), I was just surprised they didn't have other options by the glass.
Food was good but the service was lacking. This was a business appreciation dinner. Appetizer plates and dishes were not removed until after we asked. Empty glasses were left on the table. Fun restaurant but I won’t be going back as there are better options for the price.
We went to Edgewild for New Years Eve with another couple. Food was very good, service was fine, but they were busy so maybe not as attentive as normal. We sat between two other parties, on one side they were served bread with their salads, (we were not) and the other side was shown the dessert tray, (we were not). Not sure why other than their servers did and ours did not. Hmmm...
But dinner was good, wine was good, evening was wonderful. Will still go back and will still recommend!
Usually love this place, but not this visit. Our favorite appetizer, the meat and cheese board, has changed and has less on it. Used to have more crackers and include grapes, nuts and figs that the kids liked. My $40 steak was over cooked. I'm sure they would have corrected it, but we were eating with kids and I didn't want to spend any more time waiting. The spaghetti on the kids menu is too spicy for kids. They must use a sauce that they have made for another menu item. My husband and I liked it, but should not be on a kids menu.
This is our 2nd time going to EdgeWild. We were greeted promptly when arriving there and were seated at a nice table. We enjoyed our wine and salads then received our main courses. I ordered the scallops which were cooked properly but were very bland. The accompanying rice had absolutely no taste and the pineapple salsa was marginal at best. My wife did enjoy the chicken pouillard which helped our opinion about the meal. Unfortunately this is the 2nd marginal meal I had there and will probably not return.
We have been going to EdgeWild as a destination restaurant for us for 5 years. Food has remained the main reason for our return. Goat cheese appetizer, Trio Beef Tenderloin, and cookie and salted caramel ice cream for dessert! Everything is outstanding including the service. My one concern involves the increase in the cost of the wine over the years. Wine is good but the price is high for the quality.
We went with a group of friends to visit with out of town guest. They seated our large party in a quiet back room, which was great.
The food is good, and there is a large variety so there’s something for everyone’s taste.
Our waiter was efficient and not intrusive. He also offered to split the bill as many ways as we needed. EdgeWild is a nice option for a large group.
We have been a regular at EdgeWild since opening night. We always enjoy dining there and we had our family (10 of us) in for the Holidays. Calvin (as in Calvin Klein) was our server and he did an excellent job as always. The servers are all well trained and always responsive to every need and Calvin makes our dinner evening enjoyable. EdgeWild is great place and their food menu is creative and always tastes great. We even had 3 little ones and they have kids menus to boot. Overall a great experience.
We waited 45 minutes for our appetiser to come out. After that the dinner flowed nicely. Our waiter should have checked on it and reported to us, but we had to find him and ask about it. I think he forgot to put in the order. He asked that we request him as our server next time...I don't think so. He said all the right things but the service just wasn't there. The food was very good.
We were seated by the service area so we had the pleasure of overhearing servers swear and complain about their customers. You know, the customers whose tips they happily take. Our server was fine if a bit rough around the edges. Wife had an utterly tasteless chicken entree and I had a bland turkey sandwich served on dry, stale bread. As an appetizer we had some warm goat cheese served with too few crostinis. Sad as it was, it was the highlight of the meal. Wine selection was decent although prices inflated if you're not a member of their wine club. Are there seriously members of this club?
Short version: stay away.
Had a Christmas Eve dinner with my family of 4 total. Made reservations and the table was ready for us when we arrived. Our waiter Roberto was great and was attentive, knowledgeable about the food, and was a good conversationalist. Found food to be very good. We had the scallops, seafood pasta, lasagna, and 18oz ribeye. All were great. Only small issue was the seafood pasta was a little spicy for my wife's taste, but I thought it was good.
Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. A bit pricey but good value for quality of food.
The food was wonderful....it would have been more wonderful if they resisited putting kale in their dishes (kale is healthy, but it is tough and gets stuck in your teeth.) Wonderful service. Note that the restaurant has a Bissinger's candy-to-go counter right at the entrance.
We have been here a half-dozen times and it never disappoints! The flatbreads are awesome as are the salads, especially the Thai. The wines with the Edgewild label are nicely priced and of high taste quality. The variety of food available will satisfy most tastes. A definite go-to place.
I really like the atmosphere in this restaurant. The food quality is "spotty", meaning that it depends on the dish and on the times. I have visited several times. Sometimes the same salad may be delicious, other times it is soggy. The mushroom/brie soup is one of my favorite. Do not get the carbonara pasta, it does not even resemble a real carbonara. Sometimes there seem to be very long waits for food....
The service and efficiency of the staff was excellent. We had our holiday dinner there and they were great in all aspects of service and loved that they followed up on the details and confirmation without any problem. Food was very good and we had a wonderful time.
