Fantastic food, recommendations and quality service from our server! The Hilton needs to keep her around!
Our server was wonderful. The appetizer he recommended was very good. The crab cakes were horrible; the main ingredient, crab, was missing!
The wine glasses are straight from the 1970’s. For what you charge you need to step it up!
I selected this place to have my birthday dinner. I loved the look of the decor, the view outside overlooking the boardwalk, the food, and the service. I also got a free birthday dessert of my choice. The waitress was also willing to take a few group birthday pictures for me. My friends and I are definitely talking about coming back. Thank you so much for making this day feel very special.
Not enough staff to take care of the lees than 10 people who were eating. Food was simply ok...but price was very high. For the price, the food should have been fantastic...It wasn’t even average.
We decided to go here for Fathers Day dinner and it was a big mistake. There was no one at the hostess stand, we had to ask someone to seat us. After we sat down, the waiter took our orders. 20 minutes later he came back to tell us they were out of french fries, wings and chicken breasts! After we sat there for 30 minutes. We left. Wasted our time. How do you run out of the most common thing on the menu and not made sure to have more on stock, yet allow guests to order it!? The service recovery from the Outlets Manager on duty was poor as she had an attitude with me. Won't be going back there.
The service was above and beyond the expectation. The restaurant is located in the Hilton hotel. The service was great.
Great best decision ever
My husband and I went there for Valentine’s Day. We had never heard of it before and didn’t know what to expect, but it was such a pleasant surprise. They had real roses on the tables, white tablecloths, jazz music playing, and candles on every table. The prix fixe meal was a great deal at $90 per couple for 4 courses. The food was gourmet and delicious. We sat by the window overlooking the lake below. After, we walked around the lake. It was very romantic.
Food n service were excellent. My wife n i really enjoyed it. Look forward to c us again. Thanks
I was there for a family dinner on a couples date before celebrating in our tuxedos and dresses, but we waited a minute to get seated, the staff was short but the bartender (African American) woman was a bit strong at first, she spoke of the shortage and how it affected her. I mentioned how grateful we were as a bunch to have her there and then she smiled and she gave us the best service by herself as if they were fully staffed. Found out who worked on NYE between 1900 hours at the bar, black female and keep her on payroll and a nice salary adjustment will not be bad for her or move her to management.
Our group of 6 arrived at 12:15pm on a Wednesday. We were the only guests in the dining area, but the service was incredibly slow. I'll admit, we did take a little longer to order, but our entrees did not come out promptly at all. No one ordered anything complicated, mostly burgers.. We were on our lunch break but ended up returning to work 30 minutes later than anticipated. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. Our server was pleasant, answered our questions about menu items and refreshed our beverages.
Our group of four shared two appetizers: Mushroom toast and Seafood Hushpuppies. Then four entrees: two regular size plates of Seafood Gnocchi, one Salmon entree and one Shrimp with Grits entree. All were delicious and the portions were much more than we'd anticipated. We were pleasantly surprised because we've found that restaurants in most hotels are overpriced and portions are small. This was not the case here. Our dinner was good value and very delicious. The cocktails were reasonably priced and not watered-down premium liquor which some bars serve.
It is truly a hidden gem. I can't believe I've never been there before. The food was great and the waitress was exceptional. I will definitely be dining there in the future and I recommend it to all of my friends.
Wonderful dining experience. We went for Queen’s Feast. The food was fantastic and the restaurant had a wonderful ambiance. A great experience for a hidden gem in the University area!
Me and my boyfriend went for restaurant week on the last day. It was super quite(hidden secret), friendly staff, manager was great. I must say we were pleasantly surprised, the food was amazing. So happy we live right down the street for future meals.
Two friends and I went to Edgewater Bar and Grill during Queens Feast. We were very happy when we walked into the lovely/modern dining room and saw that it overlooked the water. Having a reservation, we were seated immediately, and our order was taken. The server brought us our complimentary glass of wine, 2 white, 1 red, and an 3 Mushroom Toast appetizers, which we all agreed was DELICIOUS. One friend and I ordered the Pork Cheek over cheese grits, with roasted carrots and cippolini onions (EXCEPTIONAL), and Key Lime Pie (not tart enough for either of our tastes). My other friend ordered the CAB Sirloin Filet with mashed potatoes, garlic roasted green beans, with peppercorn sauce. She rolled her eyes after taking her first bite of the Filet, said it was AMAZING! She also ordered the Bread Pudding for dessert, but thought it a little too rich for her taste. Unfortunately, the Mushroom Toast, and our Entrees are not available on the regular menu, so we will not be able to enjoy them again, but I would definitely return to try something on the regular menu. I don't think I'd have a difficult time finding something else WONDERFUL!
Went to this Reatuarnt during Charlotttes Queen Feast, that offers 3-5 course meals for $35, normally a special menu is prepared for the week of this ‘Feast’ for patrons to choose their dinner;
Edgewater had a special menu of 7 entries however All of the seafood ‘fish’ entries were out, and management didn’t allow substitution from their regular menu; not even sea bass for stripped bass; also the kitchen was incredible slow
The dining room ambience was fine and the waiter very pleasant
Tried for queen’s feast. Food was very salty, service was extremely slow, we will not be going back.
We made reservations here because we were going to a concert nearby. When we arrived we were informed that they were having a wedding reception and the restaurant was closed. They said we should have been notified. We were not.
Not what you wanted to hear after talking a cab there.
My family went last Sunday for lunch. We had the restaurant to ourselves! Food was excellent!! Service was excellent!! Will definitely return for another meal!!
I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was FABULOUS but the waffle was a bit dry. Nothing that syrup couldn’t fix but it was crumbly too. Service was a somewhat slow considering there was hardly anyone there. Overall the food was good and I’d go back. They just need a little fine tuning.
End of semester celebration!
I made reservations through Open Table, who the servers had no clue what Open Table is. The waitress must have just started that afternoon. We had to ask for napkins with our drinks. Two of the drinks had to be sent back--wrong drinks. When she brought out our food she asked if we needed any plates. Water glasses were 1-broken 1 dirty. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and the restaurant was not busy.
Very poor service for a Hilton property. We will not return.

My work department went here for the breakfast buffet to celebrate my birthday. The buffet is wonderful! Lots of fresh, hot choices as well as an omelette and waffle station. Nice, comfortable seating and great service!
The food was good. The service was friendly. The location was great.
Great service! Good food! Fantastic location and beautiful waterfront view.
Great service from seating to meal end! You MUST try to seafood hushpuppy appetizer!!! With a salad, that’s a meal! Wings are crisp and seasoned well. All of our plates were empty!
Beautiful dining room overlooking the lake, but it was mostly vacant. After a tasty cocktail and Southern small plate appetizer, it was explained. The food just wasn't very good. My husband's steak was fatty and his vegetables were cold. My crab cakes were flavorless and undercooked. My advice is to skip the meal and have some appetizers and a drink in the bar.
Was pleasantly surprised to find this gem - a large room with moderate noise level, more food stations than expected, great quality of food, and superb service. Our servers reacted immediately to our requests (first, to move the table, so we can have a better view of the room) and even anticipated our needs before we had to ask. The only disappointment was the mediocre stuffing. Well worth the $50 price tag. We three are looking forward to the next excuse to go!
Over all the restaurant was good. Food was wonderful. Nice varied menu. Disappointed that they were out of some of their desserts but that happens. I would go again
Great food and great location! I would definitely recommend it to my business partners in the future.
everything was great at this restaurant EXCEPT we sat on the patio outside, after sundown, it was great, candles, etc. then the security lights came on and they were unable to turn them off or dim them, just ruined the end of the evening for our celebration party. too bad they can't fix that.
Food was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. I was a little worried when we sat down because it was an ambitious menu for what seemed more like a bar than a restaurant. It was really good and priced really well for what we got.
University City gem. Great atmosphere on the patio and even better food and service.
Some of the food was absolutely amazing but some of the meal was subpar for the price. The place was very empty and that may have led to some of the poor food. The staff was great and friendly. They did give us some great options to try and we did try most but out side of suggestions is were we went wrong
We weren't aware that this restaurant was in a hotel, so we were initially thrown off. The menu was awesome and the food did not disappoint.
It was a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table occupied. But that was fine with us because we wanted a quiet place to re-connect with someone we had not seen in 20 years. We stayed almost 3 hours and never felt rushed. Waitress was delightful, though she forgot to ask if we wanted to see a dessert menu or to have coffee. We wanted both.
The steak was well seasoned, customer service was great, and view was extraordinary. This is truly a hidden treasure.
