We tried this for a very late Valentine’s Day dinner instead of going to our usual restaurant a block away. Food good, but there were Inadequate portion sizes for the price. If you love crabs cakes skip them here.
Wonderful service, delicious food!!
Wonderful food and cocktails that were so good we went back two days later for their special brunch.
fantastic all around experience. will surely come again!! and will recommend to friends!
Amazing food drinks and service! Price was very reasonable also!
The burger was delicious but after almost 10 years of patronage there I have to say it was my first time having it bc their menu is so interesting and multifaceted that it's never happened to be my fancy before. :) the cheese platter was amazing as well!
We really enjoyed the food, but unfortunately my husband and I were both sick all night
Fantastic. Food A++++. Our waiter was very attentive. Loved him. All in all a delightful evening.
Really good! First time there! Will definitely go back!
* The server we had seemed sweet and well-intentioned.
* Interior decoration was modern and spacious.
* My pan-seared duck breast was cooked to specifications.
* My husband's Thai dish tasted as if Panera's served Thai food. It was off-balance, and flavor balancing is paramount in Thai cooking.
* The escargot was flavorless. There should have been an acid component to give the flavors more depth.
* The terrine was trying to be more than it was, again lacking seasoning and depth, considering there were so many ingredients.
* If you serve both sparkling and still water, servers should ask which is preferred before pouring it.
* Being an exclusive restaurant means you treat every customer like a VIP, yet it took 3 times asking for the owner by name before he stopped by.
TLDR: Came here for Valentine's Day. Not worth the $10-20 for apps or $25-40 entrees.
I hate giving 2 or 3 star reviews and ruminated for a couple days about whether or not to post this review. I am just hoping it was a Valentine's Day fluke. They did have a special menu for Valentine's day but unfortunately I was so unimpressed by Edge's mediocrity I doubt I will be coming back to give them a second chance to try their regular menu.
I thought it was wierd that they have a large plate of olive oil front and center on the table but instead of giving a bread basket they walked around and placed a singular tiny bread roll on your plate. We got 2 sangrias (one white and one red) but they both tasted the same. The alcohol was weak and they both only had a lime and lemon wedge in it. Surpisingly, the sangria did not have even a smidgen of lime or lemon taste - it tasted more like it was made from a "just add water" instant packet. The dessert (Apple tart) was good but the accompanying ice cream tasted like Dryer's from the store. Food was subpar. I appreciated that they gave approx 5 or 6 large shrimps for the app shrimp cocktail "martini" but the shrimps were soft and not crisp like fresh seafood should be. It was also presented on a flat plate and not a martini glass as the name would suggest. I wish they gave more cocktail sauce as there was not enough to go around. It was wierd that there was a fist full of plain salad (without any dressing) on the same plate as the shrimp. The potato croquette's redeeming features was that it was crisped well and the sauce reminded us of delicious Indian butter chicken but there was only 1 croquette patty for $10. The crab cakes were mediocre and fishy. The penne was a just bland. I had to resort to asking for salt and pepper but in the end, took over half the pasta home to season it some more. I wished they came around more often for the water service as they aren't coming to the table unless absolutely necessary.
My wife and I were there 2 days ago and we loved it. The atmosphere, food and service was super. Thought it was a bit pricey though. Would recommend it.
Our server was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. She did a great job. We had the calamari app and it was very good. Extremely tender, and the sauce was great. We both had the penne pasta for entrees. We thought it was okay. The sauce had very little flavor and the chicken was somewhat fatty. Definitely wouldn't get the pasta again but would give the restaurant another try thanks to the service and appetizer.
Service was excellent, and food was good. Conveniently located restaurant.
We went for dinner later in the evening, menu was limited since a few items were sold out, then after finally ordering we had to wait an hour and a half for our dinner. The waitress never came to check on us once we got our food. We will not be going back.
Food and service was very good but you were out of several dinner items which was disappointing
Food was great, the service was great....my only concern was the amount of time it took to be served. I don't feel it was the servers fault, I felt that the kitchen was not keeping up with the amount of people dining on a Saturday night.....and you were out of to many things early in the evening.
Food was great, maybe the best burger I've had in a long time. Nice ambience, attentive, friendly service, our meals came out well timed with our appetizers, very hip vibe, would go again for sure!
The ambiance is cozy, warm, and romantic as we celebrated our wedding anniversary.
The staff was very attentive and our delicious meal, selected from a varied meun, was served attractively in a timely manner.
Mac and cheese special was very good. Triple Truffle Burger was fantastic!
Love this restaurant! Outstanding food, excellent service. Never disappointed...
The waitress was excellent -attentive, food was very good...i will definitely be dining again in the near future.
We didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised Food was excellent Our wedding anniversary. mood was good just a nice place!!!
It was a great evening. We wanted a nice meal in a quiet setting where we wouldn’t be hurried and could enjoy conversation. Ambience and service were perfect. Cocktails were excellent. Food was delicious. Great variety. We all enjoyed the appetizers and our entrees. The surprise of the evening was the “mentalist” who came to our table as we were finishing. He performed several amazing and entertaining tricks with us. It was the perfect end to a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely visit Edge again.
My wife and I were warmly greeted when we arrived for our dinner reservation, and we were immediately taken to our table. Our server was attentive and informative, even when she discovered that the first 2 wines that I chose were no longer available. Fortunately we were able to settle on a fine alternative wine. The meals were beautifully presented and the food was hot and delicious. My salmon dinner was particularly tasty (not many restaurants are able to prepare salmon so perfectly!). All in all, EDGE restaurant made for a delightful weekday "Date Night".
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience, I waited 20 mins for a drink and only got one after I asked for one. A glass had broken on the table next to us and glass flew over onto my legs and table, no manager came over to check on either table after the incident. Very poor costumer service.
Really enjoyed our evening. Excellent service from start to finish. The menu was broad and interesting as was the wine and drink list. The place was quite crowded so if noise is a problem I'd go elsewhere.
Our food was subpar. I had the filet and it was not tasty. Potatoes were heavy, but tasty. Rolls were very good.
Nothing was outstanding. I doubt I would come again considering the tastier options in Bethlehem.
Dinner during resturaunt week with family. Menu choices were excellent. Interesting drink choices.
Great food. Our server Samantha was wonderful!! Made sure we were all happy with our meals! Definitely will go back!
Great food; unique menue; nice, comfy environment
Went here with friends for their Restaurant Week specials. Food as usual was wonderful. Perfect portion size on all courses and great presentation. The evening entertainment, a mentalist, was an added bonus at the end of out meal. He dazzled us table-side and left us completely satisfied with our evening.
Wonderful service, excellent food, always a good experience when I go.
I always enjoy my meal at Edge. Food choices and service are excellent. Very good wine and cocktail list. Just wish they woukd play the music a few decibels lower..it is a bit loud for such a nice dining experience
A wonderful all-round experience! Everything from the craft cocktails to the waitstaff to the ambience to the dessert… Perfect!
Our waitress came with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne (thank you!) and 2 waters. We ordered other drinks and began to look over the menu and decided to take advantage of the specials for Restaurant Week and also picked out an additional appetizer.
Our waitress came back with the drinks (about 10 minutes later) and took our order. We both wanted to try the Baked Brie on the normal menu but we were told that the kitchen doesn't allow guests to order from the Restaurant Week menu and the normal menu. We were very taken aback by this custom. Why wouldn't you want your customers to buy more from your establishment? Strike 1.
We then began the first of two arduous waits for our appetizers. After about a 25 minute wait, we were served. My husband ordered a baked quinoa patty (for lack of a better word) and I ordered the pork kebab. Both appetizers were good but not fantastic. The quinoa was bland on its own but had a prayer of some flavor from the aioli served with it. The kebabs were good although a bit more charred than my liking. Overall, both were good but not stellar.
We began the second arduous wait for our main course (about 35 minutes). The waitress came by to check on us twice during that time. The first time she assured us our food would be out shortly. The second time, she communicated that there was a party of 40 in their private dining room hence the delay. She did apologize but by then it was too late. My husband and I had been contemplating walking out and finding somewhere else to go for dinner. Strike 2.
My husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the boneless pork chop. When the food came out and we tried it, we were disappointed. My husband's salmon had no flavor. The side presented with it was only marginally better. My pork chop and side were dry and extremely bland. Strike 3.
I would not recommend going to Edge unless you are looking for a very relaxed and slow dining experience. My husband and I will not be back.
We dined at Edge for the Restaurant Week special menu. It was, as always, great. The only negative was service was uncharacteristically slow; a private party of 50 had ordered just ahead of us, and our dinners were a bit late. The food was amazing and I hope some of the specials make it to the regular menu.
Great time, great food, exceptional waitress!!
Meal and service was EXCELLENT. Mentioned it was our anniversary and got a decorated dessert and complimentary champagne. Will definitely be back soon.
The restaurant had a great ambiance for a date. It’s in a really good location and the menu had many options. I got the “dim sum” as an appetizer and although it was tasty, i wouldn’t call it dim sum. They were more like fried potstickers. The calamari was done really well and had a great dipping sauce. Our waitress was great.
