Edge Ratings and Reviews
We have lived in Bethlehem for nearly two years and this was our first venture into Edge. The food was good, salad was excellent, nice pour of wine. Our waitress knew the menu and was quite pleasant. Our table was against the wall next to a bus station. This was a Saturday evening, so perhaps they anticipated a good number of walk-ins, but the restaurant was still nearly empty when we left, and we did have reservations. We will most likely return.
Seated immediately, we were pleased to see varied selection of apps, entrees, & desserts for NYE menu. As always, staff were friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. Food plated attractively & prepared as ordered. Disappointed they were out of bananas foster but, creme brulee was delicious.
My husband and I were there for New Year's Eve. Our table was ready early which was nice. The hostess, our waitress and staff were very accommodating. The food was excellent. We both had the lobster tails. It was also helpful that the tip was included on the bill. We can't wait to go back.
Wonderful meal (petite filet mignon cooked perfectly and the veggie curry was delicious) and yummy drinks (try the dualing bourbon), capped off by the best chocolate pot du creme I've ever had. Ambiance was perfect as well, recommend for a date or any special occasion.
There were mixed reviews from our party of 4. This was a Christmas celebration with my in-laws. 3 people enjoyed their meals, but as a vegetarian, the option was not very good. The tofu vegetable curry was mediocre at best. Even though I specifically asked for a banquet, the waitress tried to seat us at a table in the middle of the room. She was not too pleased when I asked her to seat us at the banquet. There was no one in the dining room, but she insisted they had a lot of reservations and reluctantly seated us. Interestingly, when we left 2 hours later, there were hardly any patrons. I had not been to the Edge in awhile and quite honestly, I'm not in a rush to return.
PS Our waiter was very nice !!!!
We went to this restaurant while in Bethlehem based on its great reviews. The short rib egg roll was like boxed appetizer cut in half and way overpriced. The crab cakes seemed like premade frozen and again overpriced. My salmon was good but that’s about it. We spent a lot of money for a subpar meal. The service and ambiance were nice but not nice enough to make up for the food. I believe the sign said everything was fresh made on site but I doubt it!
Went for Christmas Eve dinner. It was fantastic. I had the surf and turf. My filet was cooked perfect. The lobster was melt in your mouth tender and sweet. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. The bottle of wine was excellent and our waiter was attentive.
Food was outstanding with service to match. Only draw back was our table was next to the bar area and the crowd was loud and obnoxious making a intimate conversation difficult. I will eat here again but will request a table in the seating area separate from the bar
This was right before Christmas and about 20 Santa's were at the bar when we came in. We had a reservation to dine with another couple we knew in the area, but don't often come to town to visit. The Santa bar-crawl made thing a bid louder than desired, but the service and food were still good. The event wasn't as quiet and cozy as I had been expecting, but Holidays will be Holidays.
Food was great as usual; wait staff although very busy at holidays, was attentive and meal was hot and all requests honored even to a birthday candle!!! All seats were taken so the noise level was up - usually not as loud as when all seats occupied including the bar area. Great time was had by all!!!!
First time here and they exceeded all of our expectations. Fantastic would recommend it to friends and family. Actually we already told friends about our great experience here. We had a diverse group of food needs ie meat no meat vegetarian & vegan. All were super satisfied keep it up and we will definitely be back!! 👍👍👍👍
We originally made the reservation for 6 people and ended up with another couple joining us. The restaurant was extremely accomodating when we called to add the other couple just a few days before a very busy night for the restaurant. Service was excellent, food delicious and beautifully plated.
The menu was a complete disappointment. The one on the website was not what we were given . We were looking forward to a interesting array of choices and were given a boring dull and expensive one instead. When I️ brought it to the owners attention he was rude and obnoxious. Save your money do not eat at this restaurant .too bad as we were really excited to try his food .
Visiting my daughter at college and went out for a special dinner. The food was outstanding the calamari, asian salad, halibut special..all top shelf. The peanut butter pie dessert...icing on the cake. The restaurant was classy and comfortable. The server was a sweet girl. The room was filled with Lehigh students and their families. We had an awesome dinner. Looking ahead 4 years to her graduation dinner there maybe!!
My wife and I are new to the area, we wanted to find an area restaurant where we could enjoy good food with a slightly more upscale ambiance (no sneakers types). Well we found that special restaurant...Edge. The service was excellent (thank you Megan). The atmosphere...on point. The food was...let's just say... phenomenal. We WILL be back. This was a 5 Star experience.
