Edge Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Over priced limited menu prepared poorly with too much oil/fats. I had the salmon that was overcooked although nicely seasoned. My daughter had the filet mignon that was not prepared as she requested and covered with oil. The potato side dishes were swimming with oil. The waitstaff is quite annoying constantly filling up water glasses after just a sip was taken. Outrageously priced for such small portions prepared by someone who appears to be clueless as to how to prepare an edible meal.
Booked for a vacation final meal on the advice of a friend and we were very happy with the choice. Classic steakhouse type of menu but everything was absolutely top of the line. Apps were: fois gras and a very tasty lobster bisque. Our steaks were perfectly done and so tender a knife was not necessary. Our side of asparagus was topped with soft poached eggs and a romescu type sauce making that the dish of the night! Dessert was just enough to top off our rich meal. The somelier was great, recommending to us an unusual choice in wines and not trying to upsell us at all. Overall really lovely service from amuse bouche to tiny truffles to finish our night. Would definitely go back but be prepared, not a bargain meal.
We had one of the best steak dinners we've ever had at the Edge Steakhouse. Everything was done to perfection. The sommelier really knew his stuff and recommended an excellent Cabernet to get things started. For appetizers we had a foies gras special and their spicy shrimp. Dinner, we went with the 8 oz. Wagyu ribeye cap and 12 oz. Wagyu ribeye and both were fantastic. We closed with a chocolate souffle. Our server was very attentive yet relaxed and made it a fabulous experience. The bill, with tip, put 2 people over $400 but that includes 2 bottles of wine. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.
Excellent food, even on a Monday night! Better than a few years ago. We started with the lobster bisque, which was excellent. The portions are small, so you might want to get your own. We enjoyed the rack of lamb and a King crab addition. The King crab legs are already pulled out of the shell and quickly sautéed and served in pieces on a small iron skillet. We also ordered the brussels sprouts which were sliced and sautéed with some excellent flavors.
I have dined here many times in the past on my yearly visits to Park City. It's always been a little overpriced but ok it's a tourist city. Food was good. However this visit I found it to be way overpriced! My entrée (which I asked for medium rare) was a piece of over cooked salmon on some tough supposedly gourmet vegetables. The outrageous price of $48.00! All entrees seemed overpriced for their description. The ambience is nice. Wine list seemed decent.
This was our 2nd visit this week and we found it still to be the best on the mountain. We loved the surroundings as well as the attentive service. The popover was again quite appreciated as well as their great chocolate soufflé with some substantial ice cream scoop on the side. Also loved the beef tartare and the risotto with lobster. Great overall experience. The only small drawback was the temperature of our bottle of red wine (Mt. Veeder), we felt it was way too cold. However, our server took care of it and a bit later we had a nicely tempered wine to enjoy with our meal.
Have been staying at the Westgate for the past several years and always enjoyed a dinner at the Edge. It never disappointed. We (2) love their popovers - great bread, great idea. This time we shared a bottle of Mt. Veeder (Cab) and various small dishes. We really liked the spicy shrimp and the beef sashimi (the latter has shrunk somewhat over time). We also enjoyed the salad with the sous vide lobster and finished of with 2 small deserts. The service and the surroundings per great as always.
Love this place!! We were there 3 years ago on vacation and looked forward to returning. It did not disappoint. My son and I split the 14 oz strip and also the 4 oz Japanese Kobe strip. Glad we tried the Kobe but once is enough. I am just a domestic strip guy (I am referring to the steak!). Trio of potato side was also exemcellwnt as was the mac and cheese. The only tuing I did not love was the brussel sprouts but not enough to reduce the rating from 5 stars. Service was excellent as well.
For a $200 meal, you expect more. While my steak was good, the scallops tasted sandy and the short ribs were mediocre. In addition, the server forgot our intermezzo. Also, our coats were misplaced and we had to follow up with the host about it several times (even though the restaurant was not very busy).
Absolutely THE BEST DINNER OUT EVER! We eat out often but hands down, the best food. I had the ribeye cap and my husband had the Wagyu beef and we couldn't have had it more perfectly prepared. It was amazing. The truffle mac and cheese was incredible! It is crazy there are only 2 restaurants of its type, but definitely a must when we visit Park City again or when we hit Vegas in the future.
It was Christmas Eve and we were hoping for a special night, but unfortunately it was not. Every spoonful of lobster bisque we ate had so many onions in it that it was inedible. Six of our party ordered filets at different temperatures and every one of them were cooked incorrectly. When we spoke with the manager about the issue and she told us, well if doesn't look like what you ordered well then I guess it's not right. This was not the answer we were looking for. Finally the general manger came to our table and comped our steaks. We have been there before and the meal was very good. Unfortunately, that night the chef was working didn't know how to cook a steak or lobster bisque.
My expectations were way exceeded here. I live in Park City but never made it to The Edge Steakhouse. For sure one of the best meals in town. I travel the world and am very much into my food and wine, so for those who have high expectations, you won't be disappointed here. If you are going for a romantic date, I recommend getting a booth.
We were pleasantly surprised at Edge Steakhouse. I guess we were a little suspicious of a classic type steakhouse in the environment of The Canyons. But they were quite busy, and we were able to get a table for four pretty easily, in spite of being the Christmas holiday season of 2016. Our waiter had a few problems, which is the only reason this restaurant didn't receive a perfect score from me. But they were minor, and our food was lovely. My starter or steak tartare was total perfection. My daughter enjoyed risotto with sous vide lobster. Everything was wonderful and the wine list definitely satisfactory.
There were so many choices in the area that we randomly chose The Edge because it was closest to our hotel. We don't see how any of the others could have been any better! The greeting upon arrival, the before-dinner drinks, the food, the service promptness and politeness... it was all excellent. One of our best "white tablecloth dinners" to date (one of our traditions on vacation)!
The Thanksgiving tasting menu read like a meal out of a 5 star restaurant so we choose to dine here for our Thanksgiving. My husband is a Sommelier, so he picked a wine to match. They didn't have the first wine and then tried to pass off a 2013 in place of
the 2012 Cabernet we ordered. Everything started off on the wrong foot. Next came the gnocchi and butternut squash soup. Both lacked flavor and seasoning. The soup tasted like they were trying
to stretch it out for the night by just adding cream. The wagu steak was inedible. Zero salt and pepper and the char was so black it tasted burned. The only saving grace was the cannoli trio to finish the meal. Frequent visitors of Park City we will not return to Edge.
The Edge provided a cozy and intimate atmosphere for our anniversary. We had the petite steak and the white and black truffle Mac and cheese both were incredibly pleasing. The staff was friendly and very attentive. They provided us with the best chocolate souffle at the end of our dinner. We definitely look forward to returning to The Edge.
Delicious dinner. We have dined there numerous times over the past few years and are always inpressed with the food and service. Matt is great to talk to about specialty drinks. Greg is great with our 15 month old daughter always bringing her treats.
Their tableside ceasar salads are top notch. The spicy shrimp is great, too.
I had received a gift certificate for the Edge Steakhouse and decided to take my adult children for a nice dinner. The staff were immensely friendly and accommodating. Constantly checking to see how our food was, clearing our table, filling our water, having great conversation. At the end of our meal, they presented us with a delightful array of desserts that was totally unexpected. Can't say enough about the staff on our night out on 9/29/16. The whole night was amazing and we will most definitely return for a visit.
