Edge Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Service is excellent, and steaks are very good, but way overpriced. There is not that much noticeable taste or quality difference between a Steak at Edge and one from Butchers in downtown Park City - the only difference is it is twice the price. Ambiance and service at Edge is great and the manager paid special attention to us, which was very nice.
One of the best steakhouses I have been to. Their standard beef is domestic local Wagyu, and it is outstanding. Sides and cocktails were most of the standard steakhouse fare, but with small twists that made them special. Vegetables and seafood were extremely fresh and high quality. Service was extremely attentive but not overbearing. Wine list is quite adequate for a normal wine drinker; I never explore the exotic corners of the wine list, but they have a lot of names you can recognize that are decent quality.
Prices were high, of course, but this is Park City, so you knew that. I will say that the bill was actually not as high as I though it would be.
The ambiance and service were amazing. My husband and I loved the place and our server but unfortunately, the food fell flat. I was really excited when they brought popovers to the table until I realized they were dry and crispy. We had Alaskan king crab legs appetizer that didn't taste fresh
And was a bit watery as if it has been stored in ice. We had some gold center cut wagu beef ribeye and I honestly have had a better steak at home. It wasn't tender or flavorful (or medium rare as requested) which is really odd to me. I thought wagu was supposed to be a step above the prime beef we buy at the store. My husband and I were a little shocked. The Brussel sprout side dish was awesome! I really enjoyed it. However, the twice baked potato was nothing special at all. Desert was good but nothing to get excited about.
However, beautiful place and our server was fantastic.
One of the best steaks I have ever had, rib eye cap, but it was very expensive but who cares when the meal was so good. Very expensive menu and wine list but we brought our own bottle and a corkage of twenty five dollars was worth otherwise you are paying no less than seventy dollars for a decent bottle of wine, the only criticism I have is that there should be more choices on the wine menu in the mid range price.
Edge has become a family favorite over the years and we are always thrilled with the service we receive. The atmosphere is inviting, the wait staff are knowledgable and friendly, and the food is always wonderful. Edge goes above and beyond to make your steakhouse dinner an experience, and a very enjoyable one at that. I have no doubt we will continue to go here for years to come.
Difficult to find - followed directions to front entrance (valet) of Westgate and then literally got a map that took us through 4 corridors, 1 set of stairs and 2 different elevators to get to Edge - was like a treasure hunt to find it. Very nice decor inside and seating very comfortable. Food was excellent (except my wife's fish was too cold). Service was excellent - the one flaw was the server did not offer the chocolate soufflé that takes 25 min ahead of dessert order time - we would have liked it but did not want to wait for it.
Loved everything but the price tag. The food and service were exceptional. The menu has some very lovely cuts of Waygu and Kobe beef, as well as Prime options, with creative and comforting sides. The other entree options are well balanced plates with creative sides (although most items contain cheese and or dairy, they are mostly gluten free friendly). The chef also clearly loves truffle. The food quality and ambiance certainly warrant a fine dining experience. However, this is probably one of the more expensive options in Park City, especially if you are looking to take advantage of the steak menu. We would go back for a special occasion.
What an outstanding experience. The food was off the charts good. The service was outstanding. We have never tasted beef like that before. The wait staff was sensitive to our Anniversary occasion and made our experience worth while. Can't say enough good things.
Over priced limited menu prepared poorly with too much oil/fats. I had the salmon that was overcooked although nicely seasoned. My daughter had the filet mignon that was not prepared as she requested and covered with oil. The potato side dishes were swimming with oil. The waitstaff is quite annoying constantly filling up water glasses after just a sip was taken. Outrageously priced for such small portions prepared by someone who appears to be clueless as to how to prepare an edible meal.
Booked for a vacation final meal on the advice of a friend and we were very happy with the choice. Classic steakhouse type of menu but everything was absolutely top of the line. Apps were: fois gras and a very tasty lobster bisque. Our steaks were perfectly done and so tender a knife was not necessary. Our side of asparagus was topped with soft poached eggs and a romescu type sauce making that the dish of the night! Dessert was just enough to top off our rich meal. The somelier was great, recommending to us an unusual choice in wines and not trying to upsell us at all. Overall really lovely service from amuse bouche to tiny truffles to finish our night. Would definitely go back but be prepared, not a bargain meal.
We had one of the best steak dinners we've ever had at the Edge Steakhouse. Everything was done to perfection. The sommelier really knew his stuff and recommended an excellent Cabernet to get things started. For appetizers we had a foies gras special and their spicy shrimp. Dinner, we went with the 8 oz. Wagyu ribeye cap and 12 oz. Wagyu ribeye and both were fantastic. We closed with a chocolate souffle. Our server was very attentive yet relaxed and made it a fabulous experience. The bill, with tip, put 2 people over $400 but that includes 2 bottles of wine. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.
Excellent food, even on a Monday night! Better than a few years ago. We started with the lobster bisque, which was excellent. The portions are small, so you might want to get your own. We enjoyed the rack of lamb and a King crab addition. The King crab legs are already pulled out of the shell and quickly sautéed and served in pieces on a small iron skillet. We also ordered the brussels sprouts which were sliced and sautéed with some excellent flavors.
I have dined here many times in the past on my yearly visits to Park City. It's always been a little overpriced but ok it's a tourist city. Food was good. However this visit I found it to be way overpriced! My entrée (which I asked for medium rare) was a piece of over cooked salmon on some tough supposedly gourmet vegetables. The outrageous price of $48.00! All entrees seemed overpriced for their description. The ambience is nice. Wine list seemed decent.
This was our 2nd visit this week and we found it still to be the best on the mountain. We loved the surroundings as well as the attentive service. The popover was again quite appreciated as well as their great chocolate soufflé with some substantial ice cream scoop on the side. Also loved the beef tartare and the risotto with lobster. Great overall experience. The only small drawback was the temperature of our bottle of red wine (Mt. Veeder), we felt it was way too cold. However, our server took care of it and a bit later we had a nicely tempered wine to enjoy with our meal.
Have been staying at the Westgate for the past several years and always enjoyed a dinner at the Edge. It never disappointed. We (2) love their popovers - great bread, great idea. This time we shared a bottle of Mt. Veeder (Cab) and various small dishes. We really liked the spicy shrimp and the beef sashimi (the latter has shrunk somewhat over time). We also enjoyed the salad with the sous vide lobster and finished of with 2 small deserts. The service and the surroundings per great as always.
Love this place!! We were there 3 years ago on vacation and looked forward to returning. It did not disappoint. My son and I split the 14 oz strip and also the 4 oz Japanese Kobe strip. Glad we tried the Kobe but once is enough. I am just a domestic strip guy (I am referring to the steak!). Trio of potato side was also exemcellwnt as was the mac and cheese. The only tuing I did not love was the brussel sprouts but not enough to reduce the rating from 5 stars. Service was excellent as well.
