Edge Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We have been here several times and have not been disappointed; however, this was the first time that we have been here that the meal started off not very good. They always start off with fresh popovers and in the past they have been fresh and warm - this time they were cold and did not seem that fresh (very disappointed with this) - other than that the meal was really well done.
We went to Edge for the first time last year and again this year and WOW. We had, quite possibly, the perfect meal. Everything was prepared to perfection and our server was unbelievable! Very attentive, fun and really took care of us. We could not have asked for a better experience.
We started with the wagyu tartare, lobster bisques and caesar salad. Then we moved onto wagyu ribeyes, wagyu ribeye cap and a 16-oz dry aged NY Strip with 2 sides of their truffle mac & cheese. We ended sharing a chocolate souffle and some vanilla ice cream. Everything was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious.
The Japanese Wagyu steak is amazing, very tender and richly marbled. It does not take a lot to fill up on it. Also the Truffled Lobster Risotto is very rich and tasty but be warned, the risotto is cooked to al dente. The 3 way potato side is great and enough for 2 to share. Leave room for the chocolate souffle for dessert.
My girlfriend and I went for New Years Eve.
For $150 per person, the food was very average AND took way too long to come out. We had an 830pm reservation and did not leave the restaurant until 11:45pm..there was just 2 of us!
Save your time (and money) and go to Firewood instead - You won't be disappointed.
We ate here on New Years Eve. They offered a fixed menu at $150. Upon being seated we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to us to offer us water or a drink menu. We ordered ed our steaks medium well for myself & well done for my husband. Mine came out medium rare & my husband’s was also medium rare. We sent back his steak, which took forever to come back & I ate mine , essentially New Year’s Eve dinner by myself. When my husband’s steak came back, it was burnt on the outside & rate on the inside. I asked for the manager & the gentleman who brought us the steak, who I thought was the wine connoisseur, said I am. We stayed in Park City for an entire week & this was the worst meal of the vacation.?
VERY close tables, tight and side portions VERY SMALL. service was slow, very old restaurant. Needs updated based on size and pricing. Better off to enjoy a meal in Main Street with better ambiance. This is quite, close tables, slow service and not great food.
The excellent thing about this restaurant are the extras - the amuse bouches, popovers, palate cleansers, after dinner chocolates. The meat and chicken were excellent and my daughter loved her Mac n Cheese. The only fall downs for me were the vegetables, sides and fois gras, all under seasoned or oddly prepared and just under-whelming. The ambience and service certainly made up for this and all-in-all an enjoyable evening.
My husband and our 2 daughters dined here on Christmas. Everything was perfect! The service was outstanding, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. 3 of us had steaks that were cooked to perfection. Finished the evening with the chocolate soufflé, YUM! Definitely will go back the next time we are in Park City.
Reservation was at 7:45pm and we finally were seated at 9pm. I asked two other people who were waiting what time their reservation was and they both stated 8pm. Both tables were seated before my family and I had two children with me. Needless to say I was very unhappy and ruined Christmas Eve for us.
Even though this was the slow season for the Park City Resort area The Edge menu offered a variety of selections. It was one of the best steaks I have had in awhile. The atmosphere was conducive for our business meeting., especially since it was slow. The staff was very attentive and we had great service.
Dinner was excellent. It was disappointing that our coupon from the local coupon book was not honored. Come to find out, in small print, on the back of the coupon, it stated not valid on Friday or Saturday. We own a condo in the Canyons and always eat at the Edge a couple of times a year, usually the Saturday of Thanksgiving as we rent our condo out during the winter ski season. I had never noticed the restriction on the coupon and the last 2 or 3 years it has always been honored. The waiter mentioned the restriction buts said he would honor it. Later he told us the manager would not honor it. Thanksgiving weekend is not in the middle of the busy ski season. Too bad about the fine print and the decision of the manager.
Great celebration or date night restaurant. I’d give our evening at Edge the Olympic perfect 10 score. Our server Evan was the best I’ve experienced in a long time. He was attentive, experienced, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The food and drinks all came at perfect timing without being rushed or dragged out. Let me not forget to mention that the food was delicious and presented to perfection.
Having celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks earlier, we sought an intimate restaurant for a Thanksgiving dinner. Edge popped up on Open Table and it seemed just right as we did not want more turkey. The restaurant, located in the Canyons at Park City, is a bit difficult to find and Google Maps does a terrible job. After taking several elevators and many corridors with poor signage we arrived. The effort was worth it! We received a friendly welcome and were promptly seated. Our waiter was engaging and helpful. We started with a Moscow Mule and a Manhattan (with High West whisky) and both were crafted extremely well. We passed on the great looking Thanksgiving tasting menu (priced modestly at $60) and chose an Edge salad, 8 oz. Zabuton steaks, asparagus and a twice baked potato. All were presented beautifully and the steaks were done to the degree we selected. We enjoyed a Reisling and a Cab with the meal, both delightful. The meals exceeded our expectations and made for a very enjoyable evening. Service was not rushed, despite the restaurant being very busy. The Edge Steakhouse should be an addition to anyone's list for a quiet, delicious meal in a great ambiance.
When we arrived we sat for 10 minutes without a server until finally the host came over to apologize, saying there had been a mix up and he would wait on us. It was weird, and not what we wanted to have happen as he was very high strung. We let him take our drink order but when he returned we said we’d be fine waiting for a server. We weren’t feeling great about our experience at that point but, it was Thanksgiving evening and there weren’t any other options at that point.
Eventually, we were assigned a wonderful server (Sean), who was knowledgeable and friendly. He offered suggestions on menu items and totally changed the tone of things, for the better.
The food was excellent from the yummy Gruyere popovers, to the soup & salad, to the steak and salmon.
