Edge Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Even though this was the slow season for the Park City Resort area The Edge menu offered a variety of selections. It was one of the best steaks I have had in awhile. The atmosphere was conducive for our business meeting., especially since it was slow. The staff was very attentive and we had great service.
Dinner was excellent. It was disappointing that our coupon from the local coupon book was not honored. Come to find out, in small print, on the back of the coupon, it stated not valid on Friday or Saturday. We own a condo in the Canyons and always eat at the Edge a couple of times a year, usually the Saturday of Thanksgiving as we rent our condo out during the winter ski season. I had never noticed the restriction on the coupon and the last 2 or 3 years it has always been honored. The waiter mentioned the restriction buts said he would honor it. Later he told us the manager would not honor it. Thanksgiving weekend is not in the middle of the busy ski season. Too bad about the fine print and the decision of the manager.
Great celebration or date night restaurant. I’d give our evening at Edge the Olympic perfect 10 score. Our server Evan was the best I’ve experienced in a long time. He was attentive, experienced, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The food and drinks all came at perfect timing without being rushed or dragged out. Let me not forget to mention that the food was delicious and presented to perfection.
Having celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks earlier, we sought an intimate restaurant for a Thanksgiving dinner. Edge popped up on Open Table and it seemed just right as we did not want more turkey. The restaurant, located in the Canyons at Park City, is a bit difficult to find and Google Maps does a terrible job. After taking several elevators and many corridors with poor signage we arrived. The effort was worth it! We received a friendly welcome and were promptly seated. Our waiter was engaging and helpful. We started with a Moscow Mule and a Manhattan (with High West whisky) and both were crafted extremely well. We passed on the great looking Thanksgiving tasting menu (priced modestly at $60) and chose an Edge salad, 8 oz. Zabuton steaks, asparagus and a twice baked potato. All were presented beautifully and the steaks were done to the degree we selected. We enjoyed a Reisling and a Cab with the meal, both delightful. The meals exceeded our expectations and made for a very enjoyable evening. Service was not rushed, despite the restaurant being very busy. The Edge Steakhouse should be an addition to anyone's list for a quiet, delicious meal in a great ambiance.
When we arrived we sat for 10 minutes without a server until finally the host came over to apologize, saying there had been a mix up and he would wait on us. It was weird, and not what we wanted to have happen as he was very high strung. We let him take our drink order but when he returned we said we’d be fine waiting for a server. We weren’t feeling great about our experience at that point but, it was Thanksgiving evening and there weren’t any other options at that point.
Eventually, we were assigned a wonderful server (Sean), who was knowledgeable and friendly. He offered suggestions on menu items and totally changed the tone of things, for the better.
The food was excellent from the yummy Gruyere popovers, to the soup & salad, to the steak and salmon.
We had an outstanding dining experience on Saturday evening for our 24th wedding anniversary and Evan made it that much more special and amazing! He was awesome, accommodating and so friendly. No complaints! Beautiful atmosphere, elegant ambiance, excellent food, beautiful presentation and superior service! We loved every part of it and we plan to come back! Thank you.
The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Nick was our waiter and we really enjoyed getting to know a little about him. The "table side" Caesar salad was very good and fresh. We had the filet mignon steaks which was excellent and shared the twice baked potato because it was very large. We finished with the chocolate lava cake. Yum.
On of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. A very enjoyable and luxurious meal. We enjoyed every course and the surprise tastings in between were fabulous. We only took one photo, because we really wanted to just savor the experience. It was so great, I really wanted to photograph ever single dish. You won't be disappointed. Nick was an exceptional waiter.
We had just gotten married during the afternoon and went here for dinner. The staff made the evening very special for us. Dereck was our waiter and made evening very enjoyable. The meal was outstanding and they even brought out a special chocolate soufflé for dessert. They serve a hot popover during the meal that is to die for. I would go back just to eat one of those.
The ambiance and decor is outstanding. Service is very professional and a cut above the usual servers in Park City. Bartender had to leave to get a bottle of Proseco and they were out of the Scotch my son-in-law ordered. Our food was well presented and Popovers amazing.
My husband and I both ordered stakes, mine medium and his medium rare. They were both wrong. His was burned on the edges and became bitter. Not to mention the under cooked Brussels sprouts and potato gratin sides. For the price and in a 5 star resort I expect better than that. That was the last time I will eat there.
Service was very slow for a restaurant that was barely half full. We were told that the bartender didn't show up for work so the manager was mixing our cocktails. He must've been overloaded as it took at least 20 mins to start drink service. Bread was equally slow in delivery. However, we thought that the menu was very good and our food, once it showed up, was excellent. Our steaks were prepared perfectly and were high quality beef. The sides were outstanding. Good wine for a modest choice. The downside was that the check was over $300, a bit pricey when compared to Riverhorse, Ruths Chris, etc. We are locals who dine out often, we'll try it again, but keep our eyes out for the 2for1 special...
