EDGE Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food at edge was pretty good I had the wagyu New York strip which wasn't bad but I wasn't blown away, my wife had the wagyu filet which was amazing. On the bad side when we sat down and ordered our wine the server immediately started acting like he was ready for us to leave because we did not order expensive glasses of wine and for the rest of the night we felt very judged for not ordering more food and spending more money.
There were four of us, and we are each a different entrées they were all wonderful. They were unique things on the menu, including appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. I definitely recommend the edge restaurant for anyone that wants top shelf dining and a great atmosphere.
The food was great. Another review talked about the filet "melting in your mouth." I'll ditto that. Our server was Matt, who was very, very good. It was our anniversary (and my 65th birthday) and so he gave us some complimentary chocolates and the dessert had a "Happy Anniversary" cookie. A nice touch and demonstrated the excellent customer.
We were in Denver to see "Frozen". It was added bonus that the restaurant had a special theatre menu, which saved quite a bit of money. Even so, it wasn't inexpensive but it was worth every penny and farthing.
I had the 10oz NY strip which was ordered medium but served well, still had nice flavor. My GF had the petite filet, it was a genorous 8oz, served at the temperature as ordered, excellent flavor, melted in your mouth. Sides, bubble & squeak and brussell sprouts were both excellent.
Service was mediocre at best and wine list is underwhelming and quite pricy. I also hate the digital wine list, very tacky and quite difficult to navigate.
Always an extraordinary experience dining here, especially this weekend before the Sunday matinee of FROZEN at the Buell. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is so courteous, kind, attentive and knowledgeable. And of course the food, always divine... Truly a great place to dine for any special occasion!
We had the most amazing dinner with our 2 kids last night. Our server was exceptional! We told him about our daughter's dairy allergy and he made sure everything was safe for her to eat. She was so excited to enjoy a wonderful meal! The food and wine were luxurious and we cannot wait to go back!
We loved having lunch at Edge. We had the seafood cobb and the steak frites which my husband and I shared so we could each have a little "surf and turf". Both were really excellent! Nicely generous helping of seafood on the salad; great medallions and wonderful sauce for the steak. Not a fan of the gastrique for the frites, but they were good without it. Will definitely be back!
We came here before a show at the Denver Performing Arts Center. We didn't know it but they even had an optional theater menu for the show. I think this was the best wait staff I've ever experienced. Our waiter Travis made my adult daughter's birthday even more special and he was the best waiter or waitress we've ever had. The food was absolutely delicious. Every steak in our party of 5 was perfectly cooked. We go to upscale steakhouses frequently and 90% of the time someone's steak has to be sent back. Not here! And we aren't even those fancy type people! The sides were delicious. Our waiter made sure we got a variety of the sides. We went here on a whim because it's within walking distance of the theater. They valet parked our car for the entire time we were at the theater. The website made it look very trendy but it's a wonderful place for even us 50 some things. :). If you're looking for wonderful food and service, go here, and don't let that its the Four Seasons or in a hotel be intimidating at all! Thank you, Edge Restaurant!!
Excellent service by Steve. He was personable and so helpful with the menu. Steve also represented Four Seasons well, spoke highly of where he worked. Warmed my cream for my decaf Americano, perfect! Filet was excellent. Ambience was great, we went early so place was not busy and quiet. Would definitely recommend.
Exceptional again! The food was wonderful and the service is outstanding. I loved the fresh peach mignonette with the oysters and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly.
The wine list is extensive and you can always find a good bottle of champagne. We will be back.
We enjoyed a wonderful celebration with very personalized service. Our reservation was between brunch and lunch and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We were able to order off of the regular and brunch menus. We were even treated to a tour of the kitchen where the chef presented my husband (who was celebrating his 50th birthday) with a spice mix. Highly recommend this place whether you are staying at the Four Seasons or going to the theater, it is top notch!
I've been here for brunch before, but I'll have to confess that I was disappointed in their dinner. We got there (not busy AT ALL) and let the server know that we were on a bit of a time crunch (little over an hour), so we asked if they could possibly bring out the appetizer and meal at the same time or as soon as they had it ready (we didn't need them to wait until we were done with the appetizer). Not only did they not do that, but we waited another good 20 minutes after they'd cleared our appetizer for our steaks (again - I know it's not necessarily the server but possibly the kitchen, but no one even came by to let us know how much longer it would be, and again - there were very few other tables). We both ordered Filet Mignon, and since they specialize in steak, I asked if mine could be "bleu" or cool to the touch on the inside (super rare) - they said yes. My guy got medium rare - both of ours came out medium rare, but since we were on a time crunch, there wasn't really time send to it back. The steak was good, don't get me wrong, I just like being able to order it as rare as possible, and for almost $50/steak - I'd like them to get my order right. Not to mention that because it's more of a "steak" place - you literally only get steak - any sides are at least $4 extra. We ended up scarfing down our steak in 5-10min while asking for the check, just so we could make it out of there in time for our show. Perhaps their non-steak options are better, but I have to say, for the price I was super-underwhelmed. And while I understand that coming into a restaurant with a specific time of needing to leave is difficult for any kitchen-all we wanted was 2 steaks-one that should have been tossed on for 1 min/each side! Having been in the industry, this is hard for me to write, but we live in a world where social media dictates many things, and I'd hate for anyone to go here with time restrictions and/or expecting some extravagant meal (price yes, but meal...meh).
Service was great not only by our server but the rest of the staff.
Our $85 steak was good, but I've had $40 steaks that taste better.
The sides were very, very bland and a waste of money.
Wouldnt have this place at the top of my list for places to go to again. For a $275 meal, I want exceptional... this was just good.
My boyfriend and I ate at Edge for the last night of our Colorado vacation and are so happy we did! Our server, Steve, was extremely nice and helpful, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the hot stone appetizer (get the beef!), filet mignon, and sides of bubble and squeak (British-style mashed potatoes) and brussel sprouts to share. The amount of food was perfect and everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions.
Brunch - The juices were fresh and good mixes, with juice ice cubes so it would not delude the flavor. I had the granola , yogurt, and berries breakfast which was the best I have ever seen. The portions were generous, the berries amazingly fresh and sweet. I also had one of the Edge's doughnuts and it was delicious, but not overly sweet. My husband had the three egg plate with elk sausage - the eggs were soft and seasoned well. The coffee is always good.
