EDGE Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
A lovely room, smiling employees, upscale feel. Daniel was an excellent server. My drink was comped since I couldn’t eat the chocolate dessert presented. So pleasant to be in a professional environment where you know that the customer will be accommodated. Noise level rose too much by meal’s end due to wood floors and high ceilings, and this has become less appealing to me, having to yell at my table mates. Early dining would be a solution.
Ordered 3 appetizers, only one ever made it to the table. Waiter rarely appeared. Ordered the waygu NY strip, med rare...came out rare to near raw. They said they'd throw it back on the grill, they bring out the wrong steak and sauce and yet again raw! Waiter must of not notified management, because no manager ever presented themselves . Regretfully worse upper end restaurant I've been to. Bad service, bad food.
We dined at the Edge prior to attending the theater. Our waiter asked us if we were going to the theater, confirmed the time, and then ensured that our food were served in time for us to enjoy the meal but had sufficient time to get to the theater. I had a petite filet, which was cooked exactly right and was excellent. My spouse enjoyed the red trout. Great service, great location, excelllent meal !
My wife and I enjoyed dinner at EDGE Restaurant before attending a play at the DCPA. We appreciate that the wait staff cared enough to ask if we had post dinner plans, and armed with that knowledge, kept our meal on schedule. The table service was attentive but not overbearing, and the food was delicious. Well done, EDGE! You will see us again.
I dined at the Edge for Christmas brunch today and though I did enjoy my meal it was definitely overpriced for the offerings. The brunch was a 2 course menu with a dessert bar that was heavily carbohydrate centric making it difficult to get the value of the pricy meal. That being said, the service was great and the overall experience quite enjoyable. Perhaps closer to $50 a head rather than $80 would be more appropriate. I would like to give it another go but at that premium I am not convinced it is worth it.
Upscale and great decor, waitstaff, ambiance, and food. If you are from the east and looking for a Maryland style crab cake must try the appetizer. It is small but mouthwatering and worth every tiny bit. It is main a steakhouse and is in the same category as Capital Grille and Guard and Grace. The lobster Mac and cheese and truffle fries are also top notch. It is $$$ but the quality of service and food lives up to it. I would recommend for any special occasion or a nice dinner out on the town.
Great dining experience. Matt's service and sense of humor a pleasure. Would come back for crab cake & sprouts/asparagus sides alone. Expected steak to be cooked as requested and was not disappointed. Pre-theater menu - a great value. Overall, far above and beyond an overrated tech center steak restaurant (don't settle for mediocre at outrageous prices).
We had early reservations at the Edge before a show in the performing arts center. The Edge offers a quick menu for those under a timeline for such an occasion, but we did not have a time crunch. The ambiance of the restaurant, the service, the food and the drinks were all excellent and exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommended.
We ate at Edge Sunday evening before going to the theater, as we always do. Great location just a block from DCPA. Celebrated our 10-year-old grandson's birthday. Food great, service great as always. They brought him a special awesome birthday dessert. Highly recommended!
The setting is very lovely, the food was very good, but the service was very poor and they weren't that busy (this was a Saturday about 1 p.m.). I have the special eggs over roasted tomato sauce with ciabatta bread, the burgers were good, as well as the eggs benedict with pesto Hollandaise (the elk sausage was very good). The orange mango Ballini was good, but you really didn't get the mango flavor until the very end when the little fizz ball dissolved.
What an awesome experience! There to celebrate my Birthday with my significant other; the food was amazing and the customer service was excellent! Chris our waiter was great and made my Birthday experience even more pleasurable and special. Highly recommend and recommend Chris the waiter!
There were a lot of Christmas parties so the service was really slow. The whole meal took 2.5 hours and it wasn’t because we ate slow. Steaks were very over cooked. Medium steak arrived as well done or if possible more than well done. Not a fan of the special mashed potatoes. The appetizers were great though. The sheep cheek and bone marrow were delicious! Deserts were just ok. Really rather disappointed for such a nice place. I was really hoping it would live up to expectations.
We were a little late getting there and had a play to attend. Everyone associated with our experience did a fantastic job from the matra di to the waiter and all people involved. The drinks were marvelous. My date is a bartender and she loved the mixes and flavors great job. The food was amazing. Perfectly done. We ordered off the regular menu instead of the theater menu and were still delivered the food with time to eat. What we were not able to the waiter offered to box it up for us and save it for us til after the play. I have never been offered such a service and really did appreciate it. Thank you for all the things and experiences we had. You have been recommended to our friends and families and I hope we all visit you again soon.
