Love Edgar’s Grille. The food is so tasty and well prepared and they serve decent portions. Prices are okay. The service is great. The hostess and bartender were the stand outs. They were short handed due to a couple of groups but they handled it like a champ and kept the rest of us well taken care of as well. hand clap for those ladies. They worked and earned their pay Saturday night. We ordered shellfish and grits which never disappoints and filet mignon was cooked perfectly ( med well) the fried okra was great had as a side dish with steak and sweet potato. For appetizer, we always order the pecan shrimp. They are a must have, large shrimp, only wish they portion size was 6 shrimp (even number) instead of 5 which would help when sharing. Would definitely recommend and brings friends to try when visiting. Would be nice to have music on the weekends during the summer never get a chance to make their on Thursdays for music.
slow service, poor explanation of specials and menu items, seating between two other couples on bench seat when plenty of tables for 2 went empty or were seated after us, no refill of water after initial seating, overall poor service from top to bottom. I will not return anytime soon and we are big supporters of Helms College.
good food, pleasant environment, excellent service
First time eating at Edgars! It was simply AMAZING!!! The food was incredible! Beautiful presentation & scrumptious! A little pricey, but worth every penny! Our waiter was very attentive & accommodating! He suggested the scallops & it was definitely the right call! Best scallop dish I have EVER had!! Great happy hour deals & the special "Wind Down Wednesday" half price wines was a very happy surprise!! We drank multiple glasses due to this awesome special offer!
I went back to my place of business with rave reviews & Everyone agreed that we must return on Wednesdays as a regular event!
The occasion for our dining at Edgars was for my sister's 75th birthday. We enjoyed our experience at Edgars. It was our first time there. Have highly recommended this to many friends already and will be returning myself.
Thank you for the outstanding staff, service and food! Thanks!
Our family enjoyed our Easter Brunch today at Edgar's Grille. Everything was excellent! One of our favorite spots!
We thought the chicken entree was only chicken fingers and thought that is not what we visioned. desserts were awesome.
No table cloths on tables and they really need to be covered. I also expect waffle or pancake station with a breakfast buffet with this price point. Drinks were not included in the thirty dollar price and maybe they should be.
We go to Edgar's Grille quite often and it is always a fantastic experience. The filet mignon is perfect. It is far and above the best in Augusta. The staff is wonderful too!
Excellent service, food and staff.
I like how they change up the brunch menu every now and then but I didn’t particularly like the one this past Sunday. The pork stir fry was really dry making it hard to chew and swallow ( I think it was cooked too long) and I didn’t care too much for the salad. I really liked when they did a salad with mixed berries. As always the desert table didn’t disappoint. I would still recommend to a friend and will be in the near future. Great service and atmosphere. :)
The food is always delicious. I typically go for brunch for the delightful variety.
Totally enjoyed my first time dining there. Will be returning
We were disappointed... this restaurant has so much potential. Being there about 7:30 on a Friday, we were surprised how empty the place was. There were maybe 10 people in the whole restataunt, 4 were at the bar. And with almost the entire restaraunt available, the hostess was going to seat us right beside 2 women on a shared bench 2 top. My husband requested we be seated one table over.
After that, it took about 10 min before our waitress came over. I ordered drinks and, thank goodness appetizers, while my husband went to the car for a coat - it was freezing in the restaraunt and the other guests agreed. (AC was on).
Our appetizers came out before our drinks, and remember, there were only 10 people in the entire restaurant. We actually almost had finished our appetizers by the time the drinks were delivered.
My drink, a gin martini, had very little alcohol in it, my husband's was so strong he could hardly drink it. I mentioned to our waitress about the drinks and she said the bartender ran out of gin. She did however, brought another drink to me at no charge. We ordered a few other appetizers. The food was very good, very nice decor and nice ambiance but unfortunately none of that was enough to make for the enjoyable experience we had hoped for. Maybe it was just an off night.
The scallops and sea bass were phenomenal, I would order both again. Mike took good care of us!
This occasion was a business lunch. The service was excellent, the food outstanding and we were not rushed to leave. I totally enjoyed the experience and look forward to see what a very busy occasion like Easter Brunch will be like.

Food was delicious, especially the filet and Gouda grits! The hostess didn’t reserve a booth as we had requested. She said that she didn’t notice the request. Our neighboring table was very loud
Edgar's Grille always pleases us a with a wonderful and unique dining experience. We love it!
Visiting family from California and the Atlanta area
the food was excellent , even though the service was good it was somewhat slow considering the restaurant was not full.
Excellent! Food and staff were amazing. Will be back, already have reservations for visit #2
Attentive waitress, great food, quiet booth
It is hit or miss with Sunday Brunch. This past Sunday, was a huge miss, but the waitress, Jenn was so personable, that it made the bad not so bad. Three weeks ago, it was fantastic food, but with a non attentive waiter.
Worth the money, just wish they would have a different brand of sausage, because the one they serve is nasty.
Have been to Edgar's several times and will go again the future. Most recent visit our entrees were lukewarm at best as were a couple sides. Date's entree was wrong favoring
Possibly the best restaurant in Augusta! I always have a fabulous meal here. The happy hour specials are great too!
Had the filet and I have to say it was the best filet I have ever had. The chimichurri sauce was on the steak was excellent. Also cheese grits were exceptional
Our brunch was delish! Although it lacked some variety (I was hoping to see some waffles and prime rib and a few more desserts), everything I tried was yum! Service and atmosphere was great. They were good about keep all stations full and the line moving. I would like to try again since I read that each Sunday is different. Would definitely recommend!
Food was great, our server wasn't. She forgot our salad and never brought me my drink, but charged me on the bill. Different server next time for us.
Wow! I am so glad we finally tried Edgar’s! We went for a date night sans kids. We arrived around 5:25 for a 5:45 reservation and was seated immediately. It was quiet when we got there, but as the dinner crowd came in it did get louder. The food was well worth the price in our opinion. We will go back for Easter Brunch with our 2 kids and probably go for our anniversary. It is a great location for those not wanting to drive all the way downtown for a great, upscale meal. We only wished they had a more decadent dessert selection.
Wonderful food, atmosphere and environment. I love the chef started at Helms College - their culinary program. Happy to support the students learning and so glad we get to have the school in our city.
I think it was the best evening and a great Birthday for a friend.
The tuna and brussel sprouts amounted to one of the best meals I have enjoyed at Edgar's, the cheese cake and coffee not quite up to par...
Great place to take your wife for special occasions. The food is exceptionally good, the service good and the ambiance is good. A little pricey but worth the money.
Brunch buffet had a big selection and was delicious.
The food was absolutely fantastic! The seats for two were too close together. Maybe one less table there would have helped elimiate that feeling of dining with the people next to you. It was louder than I expected but that’s ok. The food was remarkable and I’ll be back as long as I can sit in a booth or 4 seat table.
Wonderful service and amazing food! I would not prefer to take a small child but we were in from out of town with a 4 year old, although he was well behaved and did not disrupt a setting best suited for adults in an upscale setting, they welcomed him and treated him as a special guest they same way they treated us! There was a large party seated near us and they were served efficiently and well and you could tell they were having a great time with no concerns about their service or food. As a GM of an upscale family casual I am very observant in a restaurant and Edgar’s had all of of the markers of a clean, well oiled establishment with happy and helpful servers and comfortable and satisfied guests!
MY WIFE AND I ENJOY OUR ANNIVERSERY DINNER AT EDGAR'S GRILLE. THE ENTIRE EVENING WAS VERY NICE FROM FOOD, SERVICE, & ATMOSPHER. THE EVENING WAS 100 % GREAT. WE WILL COME AGAIN AND WILL LIKELY BE RETURNING THE MONTH.
First time eating at Edgar’s. Party of 4 celebrating a birthday. Only 1 had eaten here before for lunch only. We all agreed it would definitely be a return favorite. Service was great. Noise level low so we actually could have a nice conversation. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend Edgar’s Grille.
