As always your food and service were above and Beyond! I am proud to treat my clients to your establishment.
The food and service were both great as always. We love dining at Edgar’s.
Food and drinks were good. Service was slow and our waiter didn’t seem interested in us and checked the table only when had to. We had been in the restaurant a month ago and the menu to me was better. The food and drinks have always been good anytime I have come. Wish it was more quite, always noisy.
Excellent service! We always enjoy our date nights at Edgars. Delicious food and drinks.
Absolutely the best dining experience in quite a while. Everyone was attentive to every detail. Drinks and food were perfection.
The Sunday Brunch was ok - the deviled eggs were not good, yet our server seemed displaced. Maybe he was having a bad day or had a lot on his mind. He didn’t smile or ask both of us if there was anything more we needed. He was cordial, yet not very communicative. We’ve been here before & this was the 1st time we felt it wasn’t worth our money spent. Not sure we’ll be back unless it’s a special event or Sunday Brunch w/family or friends. Thank You.
Very pleasant evening. Great staff and fantastic dinner as always. Looking forward to next time.
Had a great lunch meeting today! We enjoyed the burnt ends, crab cake, Watermelon salad, Red Snapper sandwich, smoked turkey blt, & 2 desserts!
We've enjoyed eating @ Edgars several times, yet this time wasn't so much about the food or staff, but they outside patio - there were way too many flies in the area.
I strongly suggest placing plants that are bug deterrents and/or other items that will keep the flies at bay. I couldn't even enjoy my food or sangria because the flies were constant. We did ask to go inside, yet all the seating was taken - yet I feel there should be some effort to ensure the outdoor dining experience is just as good as the indoor dining. Buggin' Out!
Service was great. Shea was awesome and atmosphere was great as always!
Magnificent restaurant and I love the connection with the school and store (all in the Goodwill organization).
We celebrated the date of our engagement! Special memories! Food was amazing and the Ga peach martini was spot on!!! Perfect evening! Edgar’s never fails!!
Also great food and drinks! Friendly service from all the staff. Great experience.
The deviled eggs, burnt ends and bbq hoagie were fantastic! The chicken sandwich was good too but lighter in flavor than expected. Great service!
Outstanding meal and stellar service. Highly recommend the shellfish and grits. A real gem in Augusta!
Awesome atmosphere. Great service. Food was excellent. Will be going back!
Nice setting and bathrooms very clean. Food was one of the best experiences we have had in the CSRA. Too noisy. Mash potatoes seemed to be instant. My wife makes better with Russetts and lots of butter. Table a little sticky.
Always a good time at Edgars. Do think that although the buffet is reasonably priced that drinks, i.e, ooffee or some type of juice or tea should be included. Very well done with distancing and safety.
The food is always so good as well as the service.
Went to Edgars to celebrate our 15th anniversary as I had liked Edgars previously but hadn’t been back in a while due to the bad experience previously when I said I was not going to go back because the standard had dropped tremendously and the quality and taste of food. But I decided to give it a try again after Covid maybe Edgars made some improvements. It confirmed why I said I wasn’t going back. Started off poorly we were seated on time but it took awhile for my server to come to the table plenty of passing but never nothing to say I’ll be right with you. Then the manager came over once to bring us water as we knew her from previous visits and took our drink order we asked the for GA Sangria and they were terrible so we had to send the back with our server that introduced herself and apologized for the wait. So we ordered new drinks that had to be made to order and they were good. GA Sangria is premixed don’t recommend because it may sit for hours. I was already on Open Table looking for another location but my husband said we will stay as the drive and wait to get in would be hard for a Friday night so we reluctantly stayed. Not many people in there so I really didn’t understand the wait for food it took forever. Server brought out a roll and butter to both of us. Look like a roll you could buy in the store very cheap for an establishment like this. What happened to the different types of bread in basket or the poppy seed rolls in basket with sweet butter. Tasteless and cheap roll is what we received one piece on a plate. Ordered appetizers we both got the pecan shrimp I can honestly say the appetizer and GA Peach Martini was the biggest highlight of the evening. The appetizer was good. Salmon was tasteless and yam was hard could eat only top and asparagus was burnt at tips and hard at bottom had to send back replaced with broccoli that was not edible hard not steamed undercooked. Shellfish and grits was my husband order was just okay. Poor management. SMH.
It was our first visit, our reservation was ready and we were seated at a nice table. Our server was excellent, knew the menu, was very attentive, and made some solid recommendations. The food came out in good time, was well plated, and tasted fantastic. We ordered the fillet medium rare and it was just that.
EG was a very nice experience. The service and atmosphere were great and the food was delicious. The steak and the salmon were spot on and the desserts were tasty. We loved the concept of the culinary college students working with the waitstaff and the kitchen to provide them first-hand experiences in the restaurant business. If you haven't been here, you need to go. You will not be disappointed.
The food was not good and they ran out of certain foods early. Seems like the cooks did not put in a good effort.
This is my first time going to the Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious, plentiful, fresh, & hot. I will definitely be back!!!
This will be the last time attending Edgar's Sunday Brunch. It's sad to write that line, but it's even sadder what has happened to the brunch. Prior to COVID-19, Edgar's brunch was the best in town. The first time we attended, I felt like that scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where the kids enter the giant room filled with all manner of edible delights. The bar area was lined up end-to-end with all manner of desserts and the brunch contained many breakfast and lunch options, but rarely the same thing twice since it was locally sourced and depended on availability. Now, the brunch is a shell of it's former self. We attended when they first re-opened in 2020 with the limited offerings and chef served portions. I could understand the restrictions at the time and even forgave that they charged the same price for essentially half of what they used to provide. It's now June 2021 and just about every business has "returned to normal." The brunch at Edgar's has not. I asked our waiter when they would return to the grand feast that it once was. He stated that this would be the new normal for Edgar's. So while I might return for their dinner service (which is still one of the best in town), sadly I won't be returning for the brunch.
Fathers Day dinner
The food was excellent. The New York strip steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The yam patty was delicious.
Really good food, although grilled asparagus should not be made a bed for meat. Its makes the asparagus soggy.
It was wonderful. The food was great. The pork belly was delicious. 3/4 of us had steak. My filet mignon was perfection. The carrots were good too. My cousin said the Salmon was good as well.
The dinner was very good along with the service. The food did take a while to come. The swordfish I ordered blackened was little uncooked (raw) in the middle but was still good. I probably should have sent it back to be cooked more but since it took a long time to get it, I just decided to eat it as is.
Affordable elegance. Wonderful service. Recommend lunch 11-2pm. Limited menu sandwich, soup, salads, great vegetables. Favorite red beans/ rice. As good as New Orleans. Great presentation. Very helpful server and great coffee. Full bar available. Dinner starts at 5pm but pricey.
Super sweet waiter but small three of our orders/tickets were incorrect. Took about 15 mins to get our drinks from the bar. Food was good, but not as good as it’s been before.
This was our first time and it exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and our server went above and beyond to make a great experience. I initially wanted a frozen mock tail but they didn’t have a blender so I told him never mind water is fine. He brought me something that the bartender whipped up on the house. The decor was nice and the atmosphere just felt great. Definitely will be going back!
excellent dinner professional staff just awesome i am going to join the club
Our party of four were very happy with the delicious appetizers and entrees. The cocktails were also very good. We give it a 4 stars vs. 5 because there was a guitarist that started playing right after we arrived and he was so loud we couldn't talk. It began early, as we went on a Wed night. The point of the evening was good food and good company but we had to repeat constantly and that was stressful.
Nice atmosphere, great food and drinks. Amazing customer service.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. Great food, a well trained and personable staff.
Music too loud for easy conversation. Food and Service were excellent. Booth table seating was weak. Table was too high for us shorter folks. We could have shifted to a table but choose not to.
The grits were better the last visit. French toast was really good.
