Unimpressed! Overpriced for the Sunday brunch buffet
Made a reservation and got immediately seated upon arrival. Our waiter, Dylan, was friendly, helpful, and made us feel comfortable while we ordered. Continuously checked up on us, made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was up to their standards. This is a place I will definitely be dining at again.
I had a lovely evening at Edgar’s Grille. The food and service were exceptional.
Date night w my husband. We wanted to get in and try some of the items on the summer menu before it changed. The southern fried chicken and waffles was as expected- a classic. My husband had the pork chop with and rosemary and the Gouda Mac and cheese. I think the stunner was the sweet corn bisque! Amazing and really wished there was more of it.
Our server was great, so nice, attentive and affable.
Lovely service as usual and social distances tables. Thanks for a lovely dinner. Good to be back.
This is an elegant dining experience without the elegant dining price. Food is prepared extraordinarily appetizing and the ambiance is superb.
Awesome service, good food, great ambiance. Will return
It was an amazing experience. Would definitely recoomend
We love Edgar’s and have been multiple times. The collards, green beans, fried okra and filet were outstanding. We had a couple of things that just seemed off. The Gouda Mac and cheese was bland, sadly. The rib eye just wasn’t a good cut of meat.
Otherwise the wait staff was superb. The bartender and drinks were delicious.
We love supporting this restaurant because of all the good work they are doing.
Very nice waiter the staff was very very cordial unfortunately the food on the buffet was a good quality but the Buffet warmers were not working properly so the grits were cold and the other items were lukewarm enjoy the mussels and omelette
Husband and I took advantage of brunch since the kids spent the night out. Just know, endless drinks does not start until 11 am, and the food is in a complete separate room so you have to walk out of the restaurant to go to the brunch buffet. They do serve you the food, it’s super clean, and you do not feel rushed at all!
Brunch at Edgar's is always a treat. Made-to-order omelettes, the cold and hot food buffets, and the dessert table are enough to make me break my diet every time! Nice setting and friendly service make the experience even more pleasant.
Food was great. I had the red snapper special and my wife had steak and since she is pregnant has to have it well done and it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was amazing.
Great food. Excellent service. Awesome mission/cause!
It was amazing!! Had the shrimp and grits w/ andouille sausage and everything was amazing, totally worth the money. My friend and I hadn’t seen eachother in like 2 weeks so we went and our server was amazing, everyone was super polite and sweet:) 10/10
Wonderful food.... never disappoints!
Great service and food lead to a very pleasant dining experience
What a great restaurant!!
Staff adheres to COVID safety recommendations (mask, sanitizing, social distancing)
Highly recommend this restaurant
We can’t wait to go back next time we’re in Augusta!!
Enjoyed dinner with friends. Socially distanced tables. Good Happy Hour specials.
Received discount as Pinnacle Club member too!
It was great. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday.
A get together of friends for Wine down Wednesday. The spacing for social distance regulations was perfect. We ate indoors and were at least 10 feet from the next table. It was quiet, the lighting was perfect and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive and got our orders out fast.
I am really torn about eating brunch buffet here today. I have eaten here in the evenings and the quality and ambience of the restaurant is actually really nice. The students not only hustled but we’re very attentive. As fast as today, the staff again hustled and were very attentive. “Most” of them wore masks. However in the kitchen, there were no masks being worn.
But I think my main rants and raves will be about the food. We did first go look at the buffet. I originally thought it looked like more of a continental breakfast than buffet but they did have multiple brunch items. My husband and I did choose however to get an omelet because the items on the buffet line did not look ‘hot’. We were correct. After ordering our omelets we then headed back to the buffet line to get sides. I tried one of the salmon half patties, bacon and brisket. Now the salmon was warm, but definitely needed a little more sauce and seasoning. It was forgettable. Bacon was Luke warm and dry like most buffets. The brisket was my biggest letdown. Hard, I mean hard tap on your plate kinda hard. It was slightly warm and getting regular butter helped. The BEST part of the brunch was that we had omelets made. HOT and cheesy. Definitely get the omelet at Edgar’s brunch.
However overall, I must admit the $21.00 paid for this brunch was not worth it. We had done brunch once before and thought we would try it one more time. Not again. Don’t waste your hard earned money for the buffet. Other meals here are fabulous, just not the buffet. My gut says to give Edgar’s a flat 1 star for today’s meal, but I know how all other meals are actually really good.
So I am going to refer you to my reviews on 6/13/2017 and 8/20/2017. No we won’t be back for brunch.
Wonderful service and wonderful, fresh food
Excellent food, great service, kind and professional servers! Great place to eat out. One of my favorite places to eat out with friends and family.
One of the best places to eat and town! If you are looking for a great steak, you must try Edgar's. Staff is friendly and always eager to assist you and make sure you are happy with your meal. We love the little biscuits they give you before dinner, and the praline sundae they have on their dessert menu right now is fabulous. Their menu changes throughout the year though they do tend to keep favorites around. We are hoping they bring back their french fries soon! Love the mission of Edgar's and the Goodwill, makes the experience even more special!
Meals were delicious, Caesar with catch of the day (tile fish) and praline sundae for dessert, corn chowder and tomato salad for my lunch partner. Matt, our server, was excellent.
Food and drinks were excellent! The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We sat outside in the patio area and the fans were so loud we could not hear one another. They turned one off or down which helped but it was still very annoying.
First time visiting this restaurant and we were very pleased. The food was great and the service was better. We had a small group of four and everyone enjoyed it. We will go back.
As always, Edgars did not disappoint. Went here for a birthday meal and the service and food were excellent. Our server, Nate, was on top of his game and the chef delivered. One item of note, I asked if they could serve the filet "Oscar Style" which is with bernaise sauce and crab meat- they weren't able to handle the request this time, but I'm hoping they expand their selection in the future.
New dinner menu items are not impressive especially for vegetarian . Food was just okay and pricey. I miss the salmon patties. We also had the banana pudding since I had a free desert coupon. I’m glad it was free because it seems like the pudding was boxed pudding mix and a few wafer crumbles. Don’t think I’ll be back and the health score is 80
Ordered $37 steak and had to send it back. Ordered medium rare came out well done. Second one came- was cooked medium well. We gave up.
Disappointing since it was the food of our birthday celebrant but other food was pretty good. Seems like it was not as good as in the past.
The brunch was delicious, I definitely recommend it
The service was great and the food was so good I’m going back next week. Matthew our server is top notch.
Excellent meal? One of the best filets Ive had anywhere. Husband loved tne pork chop too.
We came to eat at Edgar's because of the description of their buffet items from the week before, and that the buffet was handled safely. The items on the buffet were about half of what our friends had described, therefore we were disappointed in the value for the amount of money we spent. Service was good. Atmosphere was good but we will not be going back to the Sunday buffet.
Tomato appetizer was wonderful red rice was awful chicken Panini was wonderful this was good after they re-cooked it banana pudding too sweet staff is wonderful manager was very nice just need to work on the particulars
Good food , good service and atmosphere; dinner and lunch. One of the best in Augusta
We went over for brunch, biscuits were hard, rice wasn’t cooked enough was also hard, not much more to eat during brunch.. very disappointed..
The restaurant was very well Prepared to deal with Covid, lots of space between tables that had been cleaned just as we came in, waiters wearing masks. Our meal was very good and Came quickly. Menu who is reduced which I understand. Can be kind of pricey to dine here, And I really love the ambience.
Over all the Easter take out was very good. The reheat instruction was also accurate. However having the dessert there before and it being outstanding, the apple pie was a big disappointment. More like Kroger than gourmet chef.
