Had the filet and I have to say it was the best filet I have ever had. The chimichurri sauce was on the steak was excellent. Also cheese grits were exceptional
Our brunch was delish! Although it lacked some variety (I was hoping to see some waffles and prime rib and a few more desserts), everything I tried was yum! Service and atmosphere was great. They were good about keep all stations full and the line moving. I would like to try again since I read that each Sunday is different. Would definitely recommend!
Food was great, our server wasn't. She forgot our salad and never brought me my drink, but charged me on the bill. Different server next time for us.
Wow! I am so glad we finally tried Edgar’s! We went for a date night sans kids. We arrived around 5:25 for a 5:45 reservation and was seated immediately. It was quiet when we got there, but as the dinner crowd came in it did get louder. The food was well worth the price in our opinion. We will go back for Easter Brunch with our 2 kids and probably go for our anniversary. It is a great location for those not wanting to drive all the way downtown for a great, upscale meal. We only wished they had a more decadent dessert selection.
Wonderful food, atmosphere and environment. I love the chef started at Helms College - their culinary program. Happy to support the students learning and so glad we get to have the school in our city.
I think it was the best evening and a great Birthday for a friend.
The tuna and brussel sprouts amounted to one of the best meals I have enjoyed at Edgar's, the cheese cake and coffee not quite up to par...
Great place to take your wife for special occasions. The food is exceptionally good, the service good and the ambiance is good. A little pricey but worth the money.
Brunch buffet had a big selection and was delicious.
The food was absolutely fantastic! The seats for two were too close together. Maybe one less table there would have helped elimiate that feeling of dining with the people next to you. It was louder than I expected but that’s ok. The food was remarkable and I’ll be back as long as I can sit in a booth or 4 seat table.
Wonderful service and amazing food! I would not prefer to take a small child but we were in from out of town with a 4 year old, although he was well behaved and did not disrupt a setting best suited for adults in an upscale setting, they welcomed him and treated him as a special guest they same way they treated us! There was a large party seated near us and they were served efficiently and well and you could tell they were having a great time with no concerns about their service or food. As a GM of an upscale family casual I am very observant in a restaurant and Edgar’s had all of of the markers of a clean, well oiled establishment with happy and helpful servers and comfortable and satisfied guests!
First time eating at Edgar’s. Party of 4 celebrating a birthday. Only 1 had eaten here before for lunch only. We all agreed it would definitely be a return favorite. Service was great. Noise level low so we actually could have a nice conversation. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend Edgar’s Grille.
Our service was prompt and professional. The atmosphere was perfect for a business meeting. My two business guests were from France and were very impressed by the food as well as the friendly and informative staff. Good evening for all.
Great place! My favorite Augusta restaurant. Our server was great, the food was good and the atmosphere is great.
Overpriced. Happy hour did not apply to my standard Bombay martini at $11, after I confirmed with our waitress that happy hour was ongoing. After confirming, she took my order and DID NOT tell me my martini was not a happy hour drink. No table cloths in a pricey place. Candle burned out and not relit. When asked if she needed a water refill, after saying "yes" it took ten minutes. The risotto with my wife's meal came out cool. When I made my reservation, I noted it was our 52nd anniversary. I do not know why you asked since no one mentioned it. Be ASSURED this was our first and last visit to your over rated, over priced facility.

I made a reservation for five for Sunday brunch and we were seated early. I was impressed by the selections on the buffet and the service was great. However, everyone at our table agreed that most of the food was much too salty. It was my first trip to Edgar's. I had heard such good things that I had to try it. I expected the food to be amazing but I was very disappointed. Based on that visit, I don't think we will return and I could not recommend it to anyone else.
Sunday brunch - service at the table for drinks & clearing dishes etc. was very good but the kitchen did not seem able to keep the buffet line stocked. Had to wait a number of times for food to be replenished.
Have been to Edgar’s many times, always a wonderful menu. A twist on southern basics. The service is always good, I highly recommend it!
We were expecting the restaurant to be busier than it was based on all the referrals but fortunately for us our 9PM reservation, was just right, there were only a couple handfuls of customers. With the exception of one large party of probably 20 or so the restaurant was really quiet. Our waiter Matthew was exceptional, he took time to explain the restaurant and it's background before explaining the offerings for dinner. He offered suggestions when we asked and he gave us ample time without pestering us to decide our meal choices. But as soon as we sat our menus down he was right there to take our orders. He provided excellent service. Our appetizers came out hot and fresh as did our entrees. My wife had the salmon and she enjoyed it with wild mushroom rissa
I took my wife to have dinner for her birthday and she had a wonderful night. A must be place for a special occasion
Once again the 16oz Rib eye was excellent and still the only place in Augusta that can get it right consistently. Will be going back again soon.
Excellent food, eclectic atmosphere and great service! This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Augusta, Ga!!
Mathew was excellent as our server. Good wines available by the glass. Food overall was excellent.
Only criticisms as that the Augusta Spring rolls had cheese in them, and way too much. Not what I expected. More of a Chimechanga than a spring roll.
My wife and I have visited Edgar's Grille many time over the years and always seemed to walk away with a sense of enjoyment from the experience. Unfortunately, this time was different and almost ruined our night, as well as stopped us from making any future visits to the establishment.
Check-in was great and we were seated promptly but once at our table, things began to go sour. A couple that walked in after us (but was seated at the table next to us) was attended to immediately while my wife and I had to wait 7 minutes. It was almost as if we were invisible. Finally, a server named Matthew walked out and saw our looks of irritation and asked if we had been served. I replied no and he assumed responsibility of our table.
While Matthew was serving us, we wanted to remain irritated and bitter from our initial experience but his pleasant attitude would not let up. His helpfulness, smile, and knowledge of the dishes won through and in the end, we had a great experience. It was funny that the table next to us was paying more attention to our server than their own. Their interest was evident as they watched him describe each dish in detail and what wines would complimented them and such... If not for Matthew, this definitely would have been our last visit to Edgar's. He is an outstanding person and really made a horrible night special again. Thanks Matthew!!!
The atmosphere was very good. The employees moved about always being busy and attentive to their customers. Food was magnificent! This is one of many times we have been there for dinner as well as lunch.
Late Valentines date. First time there and definitely will be going back.
My first time there and it was delicious. I’ll be back
Valentine's Day 2018 was the 2nd time I have been to this restaurant. I am quite impressed with everything at this restaurant. A very welcome atmosphere. Lighting was perfect for the occasion. The food was delicious. I will go there again and again.
Dinner was amazing! The food was top notch and the service was excellent.
Valentine's Day Fixed Menu was great. The appetizers
and the entre very good. The dessert was a chocolate
cake and was mediocre - and NO choice on dessert.
Coffee was an additional charge to the dinner $75 which
should have been included in the $75 price.
Next year offer TWO desserts and offer coffee/tea FREE.
Quirky, hit or miss menu, decent service, clean and open floor plan.
Everything tasted fantastic and the service was great. My only complaint was the oyster appetizers were very very small.
The special menu for Valentines was perfect. I had the duck and my wife had the grouper. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I chose to add the wine pairings option and the wines paired with the foods very well.
Robbie and Troy were very attentive and personable! We are already making arrangements to have dinner with some friends real soon! Overall it was a very fun and memorable evening! We will definitely return......
We had a great time enjoying the food. The bar looked like we were in a swanky hotel. They were generous with the drinks. The server was enthusiastic and open.
We had a wonderful meal for my sisters birthday. The food is always great. They also had a kids menu now. If you get a chance try it!!
We were late for our reservation as we ran into traffic and it was raining while driving in from Atlanta. The hostess was a little on the dry side. Not rude, but definitely not friendly. I always request a booth when dining out but apparently not this time and there was no effort to accommodate this when asked. It seemed as if they only had 3 booths. The tables we sat at were uncomfortably close. You can literally hear EVERY word the guests at the table over was saying...even if they were whispering! The server we had was new and had someone with her but she just wasn’t on the ball with things. You would see the one training her always busy and doing something, while she was just standing around instead of taking any initiative. I saw our appetizer in the window ready. She was standing around oblivious. It took her preceptor to come and get it and bring it to us.
The salmon that both my husband and I had was good. He didn’t like the side that was supposed to be like Mac n cheese. He loved his snap peas. I enjoyed my Brussels sprouts. The potatoes I had were just ok. No dessert as we had an event to get to. We had sangrias that weren’t anything worth mentioning. The ambiance is nice and would have been better in a booth. If we’re ever back In Augusta we may stop back. Maybe.
nice enjoyable meal in a quiet relaxed atmosphere and really good service
Our waiter Matthew was outstanding! Very personable & wasn’t upset we stayed & talked for 2 1/2 hours!
We have been patrons of Edgar's for years and for my son's 16th birthday, Edgar's did not disappoint. Love the concept, the food, the service, and the ambiance! Our favorite restaurant in Augusta :-)
