Eden - Rimrock Resort Hotel
June-Sept: : 6pm - 9:30pm Daily
Foodie heaven! This was the tastiest and most creative meal we have had in a long time. Go for the chef’s tasting menu - you will not be disappointed!
I have eaten at fine dining restaurants around the world and this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The food was amazing, the view was beautiful and the service was excellent from the valet to the servers and the sommelier. I highly recommend Eden at Rimrock Resort Hotel, especially for a special occasion.
Our service and meal at Eden was outstanding. Expert wine pairings. We did the 4 course meal and were absolutely stuffed when we walked away. Thank you, Eden.
Absolutely top notch! Food is beautiful, creative and delicious. The Eden wine pairing is very expensive but the wines served were unusual and perfect. The servers work well together and are knowledgeable and attentive.
Great service. Had requested a window table, but not seated there even though some tables were available.
Gorgeous views! Tasting menu was fantastic and very creative. After being seated took them a long time to bring us water or greet us. Took forever to get a cocktail before dinner ended up arriving with our second course. The wine pairings are spot on with the dishes. Pricey evening but excellent food and special spot high up on the mountain overlooking the mountains
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!
EDEN IS EDEN!
My husband and I were staying at the Rimrock in Banff recently and had the pleasure of dining at Eden. One of us ordered the regular chef’s tasting menu and the other the chef’s vegetarian tasting menu. While the regular tasting menu was excellent, it was the vegetarian menu that really stood out. Every dish in the vegetarian tasting menu was exquisite and the vegan lemon tart was amazing – I would never had guessed it was vegan. But it was the garden medley course that I still dream of, and if I had to choose a “last meal,” that dish would be it. We also recommend the wine pairing with the tasting menu. The wine choices were spot on and paired perfectly with each course. Well worth the extra price. The service and ambiance were both spectacular and our only disappointment is that Eden is so far from Seattle. Thanks to the Eden team for a perfect dining experience.
Amazing experience once again!
Top to bottom, best in Banff, EASILY!!
Definitely a memorable experience. Outstanding food, great wine, expert service, special ambience. $$$ but worth it for a special night.
Absolutely worth every penny! Service was impecable, friendly, and not stuffy whatsoever!!!
I could continue on but too much to say!!
Just experience it yourself!!!
The restaurant is fabulous. I couldn't imagine that it did not have at least one star if not two from Michelin, but I discovered later that Michelin doesn't go into Canada. It has a tasting menu and a four course and three course a la carte. We chose the four course a la carte. It is very Canadian in its choices, and the Chef uses local ingredients, both of which we wanted because we were, after all, dining in Canada, but the menu still offers sufficient choices to satisfy any reasonable diner. Their menus offer sommelier parings or personal choices, and the wine list was as good (and as expensive) as any high priced star level restaurant with sufficient selections at the reasonable price level. We chose the pairings to keep me from breaking the bank. And we had at least four amuse bouche offerings.
It is most certainly a special occasion restaurant given its prices and menu. Anyone in the area of Banff, Alberta, Canada on a trip who loves a truly special dinner should go out of their way to check it out. By the way, I gave it a four for noise because we were seated at a lovely table with a private window, but near the kitchen, which you would expect to hear a little dish rattling and bustle, but that was our choice and before we did we were advised about it, and it was minimal.v. It would be a five at any other location.
Great dining experience. This was our second time. We had a table for 4 at the window which provided an excellent view. We chose the 3 course option with wine pairing. The menu offered good variety of choices plus amuse bouche in between. Very nice presentation and Robert, our head waiter was fantastic. The Maitre’d that evening was very strange and had some pretty inappropriate comments. We asked our waiter to get him under control. Which he did. Otherwise the dining experience would have been ruined. Rimrock management needs to look into this to preserve their reputation.
will remember this night!
This was an outstanding meal. While the meal isn't inexpensive, it was worth every penny. It was absolutely worth the money.
Great restaurant and amazing food. The somm is knowledgeable but should get down to earth. Great romantic spot
We were very much looking forward to our dinner at the Eden restaurant. It is a lovely setting and the reviews we had read were very encouraging. However it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences of my life! The food was a great disappointment. We ended up having to send back three of the four dishes that we originally ordered. After several attempts we were able to get one acceptable starter and one passable entree. The dessert was one of the most inedible things that I have ever tried. The service was somewhat pretentious, which I can accept if the food was at a high-level. However since the food was so terrible, the service seemed almost silly. After a discussion with the maître d’, he agreed to cut our bill in half. Even at that, it was very poor value. This may have been a good restaurant in its day, but its day has clearly passed!
If you've ever wanted to experience fine dining in Western Canada, Eden is the place. The view is spectacular. The food is delightful. The staff are friendly and entertaining. And, the icing on the cake is the 'treat' they send you home with at the end of the night. Worth every cent!
This was a fantastic experience. The service was outstanding.Chad, Chas,Gustavo,Robert and lady that also served us were all gracious and pleasant. The setting /views were spectacular. The food/ wines were outstanding and presentation was very creative.
Friendly environment but classy. Expensive but you get your dollars worth.
Each dish we had was cooked well and super flavourful. Little surprises from the chef were tasty and a nice surprise. Recommendations by wait staff were good. Cocktails and wine list were vast and there was something for everyone. Key notes were the squab appy, venison main and salted chocolate dessert with blueberry.
The best restaurant in our holidays in Canadá, so far
Extraordinary from start to finish. Superb service; outstanding courses; exceptional cocktails and wines. Most highly recommended.
Delightful meal ! Impeccable service and a sommelier with a great sense of humour! Great wine list!
As the restaurant began to fill with patrons, over the evening, and though we had numerous people taking on various roles during our service, we seemed to loose our waiter. We were also moved to a different table mid meal. Though the view was nicer, it was still inconvenient and a bit odd considering the “level” of dining experience one might expect. I would recommend the restaurant however I now know to request a “valley” view at the time of reservation....
My family and I came for the brunch service. I believe we were the first service table of the season. Overall, the experience was fantastic as expected.
The service and staff were incredibly friendly and personable. Very attentive to any needs or wants. As we came from the entrance and directed to our table, every single staff member who was on the floor greeted us.
We were seated at the very end where two French doors lead to a private room with the most spectacular view of the mountains.
The food was attractive, full of wonderful textures and flavours. We decided to try the mushrooms on toast to start, lobster Benedict, and wagyu steak and eggs. For dessert the banana foster. Everything we tried did not disappoint. It seemed like every piece of food melted with a burst of flavours on the tongue.
The extra plus for us was the kids brunch menu. It was nice to be able to bring them along (6yr, 2yr, and newborn).
I have been coming to Eden ~once a year for several years now and am constantly and consistently impressed with level of service they provide, and the fantastic food served.
The food is always amazing and different, the service is always top notch (staff are super friendly) and the scenery cannot be beat.
Yes, the restaurant is a relatively high price point, but I will happily note that I, a big eater, have never left this restaurant feeling like I haven't had enough to eat, or that the food/experience wasn't worth every penny.
Eden offers some of the best food I've ever eaten, and is an experience I look forward to weeks-ahead of every visit.
Amazing food and service. We were treated like gold! Spent our 10th anniversary here, amazing view of the mountains, so romantic :).
Enjoyed an absolutely fabulous meal. We ordered the 4 courses with the wine pairing; the food just kept coming! There were multiple 'surprises' from the kitchen and each one was absolutely wonderful. The service was spectacular, with very attentive and professional staff who were also approachable and friendly. The answered any questions we had, made recommendations and were always available to check on how things were. While they were attentive it was never overwhelming. The view is spectacular and the food incredible; this was one of the top overall meal experiences we have shared.
My girlfriend and I got engaged on Wed 4/18, and decided to make a celebratory dinner reservation for Fri 4/20. What a great decision! We are both in hospitality from NYC and Tampa, a one of us an executive chef the other an events and operations director, a bit critical of other places, and have somewhat of an opinion of what dining should be. Eden was by far one of, if not the, best and most memorable dining experiences we have experienced. From the views, the hospitality, food, and staff, all was perfect.
We started with a few Vespers to get the night rolling. Then ordered a bottle of Canadian Pinot Noir from the Somm, Robert. Not knowing much about Canadian wine, Robert was amazing in directing us where we needed to focus and offered his critique. We took his suggestion and were very happy. We did a four course menu, as a way to try numerous dishes, that we each shared from each other. Each plate was beautifully prepared, extremely creative and most importantly, delicious. The portions were sizable even compared to other coursed menus. I could go on and on, but to sum this up, Eden and their team killed it. Everyone played their role perfectly and gave us a night to always remember. Would definitely consider booking Eden for our wedding reception.
This staff below deserves extra recognition. All were amazing:
Benoit - Our lead server: engaging, funny, hospitable, efficient and knowledgable. Great!
Robert - Somm, knowledgable, professional, helped us with cocktails and specific canadian wines through dinner. Also helped us with some pairings of Sauternes/mead through different courses.
Gustav - Host/maitre d' - Extremely hospitable and the best welcoming reception. Made us feel very welcome and comfortable to start and continue through the night
Chad - our back/food server kept plates moving, cleared our area, re-silverwared, etc.
Many thanks to this team!
Everything about our meal was excellent especially the Beef Cheaks. The Milk Fed Loin Rib was a bit of a disappointment as it was really just a Pork Chop. I was expecting more of a butterfly rib medley.
Everything was so perfect. Perfect view, perfect food, perfect!
This is a restaurant for a special occasion and a special reward to the diner. It has a view to die for, impeccable service, and truly amazing flavors. The wine list is second to none.
I will be back!
This was a lovely anniversary meal. Time and care are placed into both the food and the service and they took a few extra steps to ensure a wonderful experience: champagne options at the beginning of the meal, special extra dessert that said “Happy Anniversary,” and little goodie to-go bag at the end of the night. The service was top notch and the food was creative, delicious, and rivals any top restaurant.
Wonderfully prepared food. Outstanding food and wine service. The SOM was helpful and made suggestions that were well-priced and paired perfectly with the meal. Portions slightly on the small side but the meal was exceptional overall.
The manager and the hostess were very kind and fun to talk to.
Amazing view for pictures before food is served. Great classy atmosphere.
But we did not find the food worth our money at all.
We spent well over $450 for two of us and there was maybe one starter that wow-ed me.
I also felt their wine was not really worth our money either ($50/glass).
One man who served us drinks did not look happy to be there to be honest.
Service was overall great but food was quite disappointing unfortunately..
Was actually disappointed this time around. Food was just OK. Great view and nice attentive staff. However, they seemed well-practiced in not that good of a way. Kind of felt like they were tired and going through the motions. Again nice people but the experience seemed more like a production than an authentic experience. Was decent but for price, very disappointing. Next night at Bison was far better.
