The entire Eden experience was incredible!! Robert our sommelier amazing and Chef...we cannot compliment you enough.
We will see you soon!!!!
Fantastic service, views and good. Couldn’t have experienced a better evening
Probably one of our best all time meals. The food was amazing, perfectly prepared and artfully presented. The service was outstanding. The pace of the food was also perfect. Never rushed but never felt like we were waiting unnecessarily. It was a very expensive meal - but well worth it. My only negative would be with the value of the "Eden pairings". I am not sure there was value to justify the upcharge from the Classical Pairings.
Food was good, service was great. Downside was one could hear chef yelling in kitchen. In a restaurant that prides itself on being a romantic getaway this “noise” definitely took away from the ambience.
Food, service and experience is always 5 stars. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Banff and looking for an upscale dining option. Looking forward to returning in the summer
My wife and I dined there for the very first time this past Saturday Night and after dining all across Canada for the last 25 years, we will both agree that it’s is one of the nicest meals we have ever had .
Unique dishes to die for , fabulous atmosphere and super enjoyable staff made this very memorable- we are already planning on bringing some family from out east the next time they are in town!
Absolutely amazing, Top shelf all around, service and food !!
Eden has an excellent atmosphere. I would recommend requesting a table with a mountain view to truly capture the best experience. The wine list is extensive and food selections were lovely.
Very enjoyable evening, the team approach worked well
The view was spectacular, the staff was very attentive, and the food was fantastic. The Venison cheek was delicious and so tender.
Everything was amazing, delicious, great portion sizes, incredible service, and fantastic accommodation of allergies.
Very overpriced for visually stunning but poorly executed food.
Amazing. My wife birthday was something that she will remember forever
Top shelf food, excellent wine pairing, even cocktail pairing for my husband. A night to remember.
What an incredible experience! The wait staff was super professional and at the same time entertaining. We went with two couples celebrating a birthday and the food did not disappoint! We enjoyed the tasting menu paired with wine and every dish we tried we were amazed with. We unfortunately had to leave after the 3rd course as the birthday girl had a bout of altitude sickness that she could not shake. The wait staff was understanding and courteous and did not charge us for the rest of the courses we missed! I would not go back to Banff without visiting Eden again. It will not disappoint.
The Eden is great experience for fine dining in banff. The service was exceptional and the staff worked with to ensure our visit was the best we could ask for. They were friendly and always paying attention to our needs.
Service is always impeccable. My only small issue was related to the main dish that I had - I’ve had it before but this time couldn’t have the vodka sauce due to pregnancy. Unfortunately, this meant that the fish was quite dry. Wish I would’ve known as I would have ordered something else. Otherwise, great experience as always!
Extremely poor service by the Sommelier during a ten course wine pairing dinner. After being there for FOUR hours, we never got to our Main Course! The Sommelier FAILED miserably at serving the wine on time or at all and didn’t know anything about the wine and how it paired with the food. The waiter did the best job he could, but when you expect a ten course Eden wine pairing dinner and sit at your table for four hours waiting on your food and then waiting longer for wine, it RUINS the dining experience. SO disappointed. :-(
My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was perfect. There is plenty of good food in Banff but if you want fine dinning, go to Eden. From the moment you check in to the desert, you know you are at a very nice restaurant. My wife recently developed a food allergy and I simply cannot explain the level of effort that the staff and the chef made to accommodate. You felt as if you were the only people in the room and the staff was plesantly friendly and warm. We ended up laughing and staying much later than expected due to the wonderful staff. I would absolutely go back in the future and I highly recommend the food, staff and overall experience.
Spectactular - be prepared for liesurely dinner 3 + hours
Enjoy don't rush your experience
Be prepared for $$$
We tried the Chef's tasting, it was fantastic. We tried foods we've never eaten before. The service was incredible as well.
We applaud the staff and Chef at The Eden. We had a truly delightful evening as always
Wonderful food and Chad was very accommodating and friendly.
Superlative, best restaurant in Alberta, perhaps in Canada. Creative tasting menu with one surprise followed by another. Fresh baked bread in house impossible to resist, incredible lobster bisque, jaw dropping chocolate dessert
Amazing fine dining restaurant with a great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! The entire experience was perfect, and surprisingly not as expensive as you would expect. The food was excellent, perfectly done, and catered to my boyfriend’s celiac allergy amazingly. The staff were great, very involved and knowledgeable, as well as funny and charming. Overall, an amazing experience and we would return in a heartbeat!
The total experience. Excellent food and service. Along with the Cheese cart comes a Whiskey cart. Highly recommend.
Fabulous Christmas Eve dinner for two. Both Christmas and veg tasting menu with paired wines. Inventive/creative courses which were uniformly excellent. Staff who were attentive personable and funny made the evening extra special. It’s banff so had to take out second mortgage but well worth it. Venison Wellington was the highlight.
Very good restaurant for special occasions! Good service and excellent food taste!
My partner and I went to Eden for a fancy date. I planned it to be the highlight of our short stay in the mountains. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such welcome. From the Maître D, to our server, sommelier and bellman.. we were definitely taken care of. Of course, how can we forget the food? We send our compliments to the chef for bringing such a complex Christmas tasting. There were some courses where my palate was not used to, but that’s not to say that it was not amazing. A truly recommended experience. We will definitely go back!
Exceptional in every way possible but the food and service are out of this world. We went there for an anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place. We have been to a lot of top restaurants in Canada and the only ones that we went to and may compare to Eden are George and Alo in Toronto.
Excellent food and great service. We will be returning if we find ourself in Banff in the future.
My husband and I went for dinner here for our birthdays. Great ambience, beautiful presentation and delicious food. Every staff member made us feel extra special.
Once again Eden was great! This time we did the 9 courses tasting menu and everything was delicious. Beautiful presentation, good wines and friendly staff! Yes, it is a pricy experience but if you are a foodie and love food like my husband and I, you need to treat yourself and go there!
Amazing culinary experience. Food, wine, service over the top. Well worth the price.
Awesome. Will be back in the future.
Had the 4 course dinner with 100 Day Dry-Aged Beef Striploin as the main course.
I have never had dry-aged steak before so I had no idea what to expect. I was excited to see what a medium-rare dry-aged steak would be like.
What I got was the worst piece of steak I've ever had - no exaggeration.
First of all, it was well-done. Again, I have never had dry-aged beef so I thought maybe this was the norm for dry-aged beef (even though I ordered medium-rare). Second, it was so dry that the texture resembled that of deli meat (prosciutto) - literally 0% moisture left in the steak.
I'm not sure if it was the combination of being over-cooked and dry or it was a bad cut of beef, but the steak basically had no taste. It was similar to eating bland beef jerky.
I should have pointed it out immediately to the server, but I proceeded to eat it anyway. The main course was so bad that it pretty much ruined the entire dinner.
Had I known better about dry-aged beef, I would've had the dish sent back immediately, but I didn't know any better at the time.
Either way, the chef cooking that night was awful. It was as if the steak had been cooked for 10 minutes longer than it should have been. On a side note, my wife had the 9 course and had the venison as the main course. Believe it or not, the venison was cooked in a similar way to that of my steak and came out to deli-meat consistency - super dry. An otherwise good evening ruined by 2 awful main courses, which should have been the highlight of the dinner. The other courses were good but the main dishes were 0 out of 5 - and that is being generous.
I've had a pleasant experience in the past at Eden but this past Wednesday's experience was disappointing to say the least.
We did the 9 course tasting menu and the food was spectacular. The portions were more than enough and we both left too full to get a drink afterwards! The staff were easily one of the best parts of the evening. Benoit and Gustavo were very kind from the beginning and made sure to check in with us throughout the meal. Robert was very knowledgeable about all the wines, and Chaz and Katie were great at keeping the night light and fun! Overall, everything was phenomenal!
We ate here for a birthday get together with 2 other couples and had the 4 course Fall dinner special.
Service was phenomenal. Timing of courses was perfect. Lots of little extras. And everyone really enjoyed their meal. The staff were very attentive. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. The wine selection was fabulous but very pricey.
All in all, it was much more than dinner out, it was a memorable occasion!
I have eaten at some very fine restaurants throughout the world. Eden was hands down the best of the best. The service, the food, the wine pairings, the intimate atmosphere and lovely view, the presentation of each course - at every step of the evening, we were impressed and delightfully surprised. This was truly a dining experience; not just a meal. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a special celebration of my daughter's 18th birthday and the staff absolutely went out of their way to make her feel special and grown up. We ordered the tasting menus with wine pairings, which I highly recommend. The wait staff will gladly substitute items within the menu if there are a couple not to your liking. Plan on being there for an evening - this experience is not one to rush. Savor every bite, sip, and view - as it will all undoubtedly become a part of the canvas of a very special and long-lasting memory.
