I am on a tour of Seattle’s tasting menu restaurants. Would not return to Eden Hill. Paying as much as we did for the tasting menu, we were disappointed in flavors of foods. Service was odd and didn’t make me feel welcome. Originally called to make reservation and was told they were too busy and to do it via Open Table. Should have not gone through the trouble. Had a much better experience at Canlis, Vendemmia, Art of the Table and other tasting menus in Seattle.
Worth every penny I spent. Food was memorable. So was the wine. I have never spent this much on food, but I will be going back to Eden Hill again and again. It's that good.
The food and the creativity of the chef and great use of local products is amazing.
This was my second time there. I had the tasting menu both times and both were delightful.
Chef's tasting menu is not worth your money. Food is good, portion is not equal to the price you pay. Ordering a la carte would have saved $100 and we would not have had to stop at Dick's drive in for a cheeseburger so we weren't hungry.
Easily among the top restaurants of Seattle and our favorite place to celebrate. The menu changes daily and we are always surprised and delighted by the flavors, creativity, and imagination from this kitchen. The service was great and everyone on the staff, beginning with Chef Max, work to make every visit a friendly special experience.
When with my "foodie" son, Eric. All during the chef tasting, he could not stop smiling and saying "yum!"
Fantastic experience. Cannot wait until we return.
Eden Hill is a wonderful unique restaurant. The 7-course chef's choice meal was filled with creative presentations and combinations that were perfect gems - pumpkin risotto and shrimp salad; quail and scalloped potatoes; peanut butter ice cream bar on dry ice, and much more. Spreading it out over two hours made sure that we didn't get too full. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about wines and all the details of each course. Would definitely go again for a special occasion.
Max, as always, delights the senses with his culinary genius. We had an amazing chef's menu where we tried foods that we've never had before. The artistry is stunning. The service excellent! Thank you so much for another amazing feast!
Always great, we come here about twice a year for a birthday or anniversary. Love the small, intimate space—a perfect space to enjoy amazing food! Flavors you can’t experience anywhere else!
A great fine dining spot tucked away in the heart of Seattle.
Trust the chef and go for the tasting menu!
James Beard award winner, Maxamillian, delivers delicious imaginative food at a level above "fine dining". Deserves Michelin stars if Seattle was added to the list. We will be back!
Phenomenal food. We did the 7 course chef's tasting menu and every course was an absolute treat. Loved the crab salad, smoked foie gras (served over incredible local sourdough), and Wagyu "Wellington Katsu" - fried and perfectly crispy. I never write reviews but I needed to here; the food was that good.
Some dishes we likely wouldn't order had we read a description beforehand - which is perfect, because it made them both unexpected and delicious.
Wine pairing was on point, and the pineapple/rum cocktail we ordered was excellent.
We left feeling perfectly satiated and not uncomfortably stuffed. Tasting menu was well worth the treat for a celebratory occasion. Can't wait to come back and try the other menu items.
What a wonderful meal! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was out of this world.
We did the Chef's tasting menu and it was a great time. It was fun to see what surprise dish was next for us. The dishes were on the small side, however we left totally full. The foie gras cake batter dessert was amazing and the pineapple and spice cocktail was one of the best I've ever had. Next time I would choose to sit at the bar, but the standard seating wasn't too bad.
Amazing food! Wanted a better dessert, but amazing overall.
Brought my girlfriend to Eden Hill for her Birthday and they made it a one of a kind experience, made her feel extra special, and the food and service was absolutely 1st class amazing.
Our dinner was delicious, and innovative. A nice ambiance and professional and friendly wait staff. We loved it.
We tried the seven-course chef's tasting menu. We loved most of the items. I would highly recommend it.
An amazingly creative and wonderful place. Food is unique.
Can’t believe we waited so long to dine at Eden Hill!! We live on Queen Anne and will make it a regular experience! Food is wonderful and service was excellent!
Chef Max did not disappoint! We celebrated a special occasion, while enjoying the Chef’s Tasting Menu. Chef Max and his team put so much thought and creativity into each dish. I cannot say enough good things about Eden Hill. Simply put: it was amazing and delicious. This was not our first time dining here, and it surely will not be our last! I am already drooling thinking about what I will enjoy next time...
A very great evening! Would recommend the Chiefs tasting menu. Every course was truly unique and impressive in preparation, presentation, and taste.
Be prepared for a little pricey dinner, served at a slow pace to be enjoyed but worth every penny. Something that was that good is well worth it
A great place for any special occasion or a date night.
We will return soon
Excellent food & service. Ordered 5 shared plates that were all yummy--both presentation and freshest of ingredients. Also, wait staff remembered how my mother & I like our dirty martinis made.
This was our first visit to Eden Hill, and we will be back! We sat at the bar and everyone that we encountered on the service and kitchen staff was incredibly professional and friendly. The food we ate was high quality, abundant and delicious. The food we saw being prepared looked so wonderful that we can’t wait to come back to try other items on the menu.
For a special treat, try the blind tasting with wine pairing. It was truly a pleasure!
Fantastic dining experience!
Just a little overwrought. The menu felt forced rather than effortlessly delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.
Our first time. We order everything on the menu and they were fantastic. Nice presentation but it was all about the food and the flavors. We will definitely be back and try the tasting menu and be surprised.
Thank you for a comfortable night with awesome food!
The chef’s tasting menu was fantastic! A perfect compilation of dishes designed to tickle your pallet, broaden your perceptions, and satisfy your hunger. We enjoyed every bite and can’t wait to come back for the grand tasting next time. Service was fantastic and the bartender was attentive, but not overbearing. Her recommendations for libations were on point! Thank you for a fantastic meal and experience.
Good restaurant...definitely a place to try....testing menu was a good experience
Best meal in 10 years! What wonderful dishes. Each presented was a work of art! Hanger steak was amazing!
Birthday and they did great.
The food was interesting and it is a cozy atmosphere. It appears they change up there menu on a regular basis which is good. However, the three dishes we had were good but not great but presentation is very nice. It is a small and cozy restaurant which is good for a date and the prices are not too high. Unless you decide to go with the chef's menu which is priced at over $100 per person and then you can almost double that with a wine paring. Just enjoy 3 to 4 meals for every two people and get wine by the glass or one of their large beers and will save a lot and still enjoy the experience.
My husband and I went here on a bit of a whim. We opted for the tasting menu ($110 pp) but decided to order drinks vs the wine pairing ($85). The food was delicious (interesting and varied) with excellent presentation and impeccable description. There is a good selection of wines by the glass (ranging from approx $12 to $40) and the bubbly is a generous pour.
While both the meal and service were very good, the price is hard to justify. We each had three glasses of wine and the tasting menu. Check came to ~$440 including taxes and 20% tip. We had a little sticker shock even though we could have done the math. While it was good, it just didn't seem THAT good and we'd be unlikely to go back. That said, you could drink less and order 4-5 shared plates ($16+$24 each) and do it for close to $200 per couple. If you opt for the tasting menu and wine pairing, expect over $250pp with tax/tip. I just don't find it as enjoyable when I find myself caring about the prices.
Amazing experience! We did the tasting menus and every single dish was prepared with thoughtful details and exquisite taste. Cocktails were delicious and the dining room was delightful. Wonderful experience all around. Highest
Great meal and service. Delicious food. Will definetely try again
Eden Hill is simply spectacular. The combination of flavors in every dish I had were deliciously innovative. My dinner was one of the top three meals I've had in Seattle. A truly exceptional dining experience. A fine example of what fine dining should be, and then some!
My dining experience at Eden Hill was truley amazing and one I will never forget. Not only was the food outstanding, but the entire staff and ambiance of the restaurant was very welcoming and relaxing. I would give my highest recommendation
The food and the wine on the tasting menu were absolutely exquisite. The flavour combinations and textures meant every course was outstanding.
