What a beauty! The salad was the only thing food wise that was truly phenomenal and the redfish in fact tasted like it was a day or two past it's prime - not too fresh. Despite this, I would recommend it on a Spring day/summer night to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful farm and cute farm to table vibe. The fact that it's BYOB with no corkage fee is a major plus as well, and complimentary cocktails! Without this element, I'm not sure the value would be there at $70/head, but I loved being able to bring a couple good bottles of wine at retail price. I will be back to try their Sunday brunch and farmstand!
Loved every minute of it!!!
It is very overpriced. I was shocked by the bill. More than $160 for two people??? In an open place, with a food truck and BYOB.
Food was nice, dessert was not... and definitely not worth the price
Our small group of friends had the most loveliest time at Eden East. We arrived early to give ourselves time to walk around the farm before dinner. Dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding. Can't wait for our next visit!
We loved this place so much! Very quaint and peaceful.
It is with a very heavy heart that I saw the re-zoning sign posted. God I'm going to miss this place.
The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, the portions were perfect, everything paired well, the ambiance was lovely and the staff was kind and knew so much about the food. Wonderful experience.
An amazing dining experience. Every dish was delicious, the staff was fantastic, and how could you not love the beautiful setting!
Honestly, I was disappointed. Crickets in my desert? On purpose? Also, my fish was overcooked and the ceviche did not taste very fresh. I loved the atmosphere however, it just seemed way overpriced for what you got. I really wanted to like this place, but I definitely did not have the experience I was hoping for.
We love the ambiance but the food wasn't as unique or tasty. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. This combined with the ambiance will always make us return.
Truly unique venue with wonderful staff and amazing food. A must when in Austin!
Fabulous experience! We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner and it was above our expectations. Im uncertain if our experience was specific for this Holiday, but as you arrived they had a 70s style Van where we had our photo taken (included with our evening experience) inside with fun and cute props! It’s a working farm so you’re not going to see any fancy building, but an open air style seating (you are under a roof) with twinkling lights and chandeliers, and long picnic tables, so you have to be comfortable sitting next to strangers (or you should come in a group:). A two-piece band played jazzy style music, and to top it off, they included delicious cocktails while you waited on the waitress, and offered as many as we wanted throughout the meal. The five course meal was scrumptious, including a small app, to die for oysters, very tasty salad and a main course juicy petite filet and a delicious dessert that I can’t even explain but I do know it included chocolate and crickets (very few and couldn’t tell they were crickets). It is on 5 acres and you were able to get up and walk around throughout the gardens whenever you’d like as waitress would hold next serving. On that point, it was not a lot of food so if you’re a big guy, it might not be enough. My BF said it could have been a little more. It isBYOB and most everyone had a bottle of Vino.
We go out often in Austin and prefer different experiences and this came in as one of our favs! Only downside was parking along the street so be careful! Oh, and they also gave us a sample of their honey. They have a few items for sale inside their little store...a must try!
We had a fantastic time at Eden East on Friday! They were extremely accommodating for the cold, rainy weather. We also had several people in our party with severe food allergies and the dishes they made for them were equally as amazing and not one person felt as though they were missing out on the wonderful food. It's not often one gets a farm to table experience like we did. The food was fresh, delightfully seasoned, and we were all tickled by the parmesan cricket grits! They even had complementary cocktails from a local vodka distillery (Deep Eddy) and they even opened and poured the wine we brought (BYOB establishment). I highly recommend Eden East to anyone looking to enjoy an out of the box restaurant experience where you can truly understand what fresh, authentic food really tastes like!
Great service. Incredible food. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Best dinner ever! Can’t wait to come back
Really good food, but not mind-blowing. The allure comes in the venue space, ambiance, and the sourcing of the ingredients. For the price tag attached, was not impressed with the food.
Service and presentation was great.
One of the best restaurants in Austin. Great food, atmosphere, and live music.
Food was outstandig and delicious. Service attentive but not obtrusive
I love this restaurant features farm to table cuisine. Truly special!
The brunch weekend/holiday prefix menu was okay. The highlight was the hot hors d'oeuvres that were passed around, most notably the perfectly melt-in-your-mouth cut of steak on a skewer.
We made the reservation and clearly stated the needs of our large party, including 2 children with food allergies and one that is vegan. Sadly, the kitchen was not prepared with alternate food items for them and our food took quite a long time to come out. When it did arrive, the special food items were not ready, and came later.
Paying $60 per head for brunch ($30 for kids), and communicating ahead of time, we didn't feel it was worth the prices we paid. Additionally, they sat us at the outside perimeter of the tent knowing we had children with us. It was uncomfortably cold at times. Not the best choice for seating with children. We won't be back with a large group at this price.
This experience and service level is much better suited for smaller groups and/or those with no special food requests, despite the high price of nearly $700 for the entire meal.
Fabulous evening. Location is on organic farm, great outdoor covered communal seating at large tables. Spacing was good which allowed for private conversations among the groups and couples gathered. Food was excellent, creative, delicious, fresh from the farm. Staff are great, warm & friendly, and courses served with good timing. Bring your own beverage. They did offer a complimentary cocktail which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend.
We’ve enjoyed dining at Eden East several times. The best times, of course, are when the weather is good, but we had a delightful time even though it was cold outside. Our meal was the best we’ve ever had there. Both the black drum and beef cheeks were superb. Always be sure to stroll through the garden to see what’s growing!
Lovely night at Eden East! What a beautiful setting, and the food and service were amazing.
We have done post Thanksgiving Saturday dinner here two years in a row. It is a perfect place for a large group. The food is awesome, the people are really nice, and the atmosphere is something that is truly unique. I would recommend Eden East to anyone.
It was perfect.
What an amazing place.
I’m simply disappointed we didn’t get there sooner.
Great venue, wonderful but rich food. Looking forward to going back
Ambiance was great but the food and service was a miss. We sat down first of the people around us and received our first course last, and everything was off after that - we then received our second course first, and the table next to us never got theirs and was served their third course. The food was alright - the grits were more butter than anything else and my black bean entree was just alright. Wouldn't recommend for the high price.
It’s a charming place, especially on a rainy day like when my boyfriend & I went, and it’s a great concept, but unfortunately the execution was subpar. We liked the bbqed harvest vegetable, and cheese plates for appetizers, and we enjoyed the soup & salad courses, and the dessert was okay, but both main courses were disappointing. I had the steak tip & it had absolutely no flavor, I mean it-no smell, texture was tough, and no discernible beef flavor. My boyfriend had the smoked trout, and we both thought it was pretty good, except for a weird herbaceous spice that was too heavy for the fish. The main issues with both entrees though were the sides. Both meat options came with the same sides, which didn’t really go with either meat-a dried out “open face” tamale, collard greens, and some butternut squash “chips” that were not crunchy but rather cold, limp, soggy, shavings of raw squash all over the plate. The sauce for both meats was a maple coulis that was at once too sweet, too sour, and too thin, and it just ran all over everything else on the plate, so you ended up with collard green water runoff mixing with the maple coulis which then soaked through all the other items on the plate-and it sadly was not a good flavor combination. The whole plate was just a messy, pile of disappointment. And the worst part was that we had been so looking forward to this & were celebrating a birthday. I expected way better for the exorbitant price. Service wise, they could have done a lot better. Service was extremely slow & our waitress kept forgetting things we asked for & she let us sit in a puddle of water that was leaking from the ice bucket she set on the table until I stood up to seek out napkins-this was a huge leak, not just condensation, water was everywhere. Also-be forewarned, they do not have an alcohol license of any kind, so you have to byob-which is fine, but I don’t think that’s made clear enough on their website. They do offer complimentary cocktails if you ask.
We've been to Eden East on two occasions and had a lovely time on both visits. The food is excellent, the ambience is really special, and the service is attentive but not overbearing. We hosted a large group there on our last visit and they bent over backwards for our group. Highly recommend.
We became here for our anniversary and were underwhelmed by the food - especially as it was $65/person pre-fixe and nothing special. The ambiance was wonderful but overall we didn’t think it was worth the money.
Beautiful place (all outdoors), outstanding service. Locavore heaven. Portions are small and we left a little hungry. Somewhat overpriced for what you get. BYOB makes up for some of that. Good for special events
Amazing in every way!
My boyfriend and I had a date night at Eden East for the first time and loved it!
It was so nice to eat outside in the evening and there were even free, themed cocktails which was a really fun touch.
We walked around the farm at the end and met a cat named Diesel, which was fantastic.
I would highly recommend!
We came to Eden East for our third anniversary and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The atmosphere was great and the farm was a nice backdrop to our experience. We’ll definitely be back when we visit Austin again.
Food was just okay. The concept of farm to table is the right idea but the food did not have the taste or texture that I wanted. The presentation of the food could be better.
Great food and service. It is BYOB which I did not realize until I was already there.
Food was so delicious. It was a comfortable environment with farm views. Can't wait to go again.
The food was terrible. We won’t go back!! We think is totally overpriced! We had a warm watermelon soup and the worst brisket I ever had in Austin. My daughter was excited about dessert and after 20 minutes waiting we received a French toast bread with peaches. The servers are very friendly
I don’t recommend this restaurant at all!!
Make sure to bring some bug spray, the mosquitoes are vicious. Other than that, no complaints at all!
Romantic urban get-a-way location. Nestled in the city, but chic farm atmosphere. Delicious food
