The staff was wonderful. The food was also very good, flavorful and fresh. Cocktails included with the meal were delicious. The ambience was disappointing to me bc I had chosen the location for a special anniversary celebration based on its reputation as one of the most romantic places in Austin. I had a view of the trash dumpsters, and didn’t realize that a main road was literally feet from where we were seated with the sound of cars going by continuously. There were numerous mosquitos biting me and my significant other and flies swarming over our meal (which I understand would be inherent with an outdoor venue, and the restaurant did provide bug spray) it just took away from the idea of the romantic evening I had anticipated.
Romantic, natural, delightful meal in a covered outdoor area on an urban farm, surrounded by fields of food. The outdoor seating area is cooled by fans that somehow keep the temperature down without blowing everything around, the food is fresh and artfully prepared without being indulgent of pretentious, and the service is both excellent and charming. There is really nothing not to like about Eden East, and it is perfect for a special, romantic date
Delicious food, great service, beautiful space! Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food experience. Great quality and friendly service.
An unfortunate experience and I’m sorry to have even started this review as it would be scathing if I continue. I’ve considered reaching out to management to get my $65 back/let them know that their kitchen needs improvement but is that worth the money idk
Hello, we are very interested to know about your experience as it helps us improve. Please email info@edeneastaustindotcom to discuss with a manager. We pride ourselves on providing an incredible overall experience to all of our guests.
If I could leave 6 stars I would!! My boyfriend and I have become foodies and this place just across the board was awesome. Something to be said about eating the food that’s coming straight from the farm behind you. Service was great, meals were perfectly proportioned and spaced out accordingly. Not to mention this place is so cute and romantic! We will be back.
Wonderful experience, you don't want to miss it. Great food and ambiance, its places like this that make austin great :)
Eden East is a wonderful "on the farm" experience. My Mom and Sister loved the Mother's Day celebration! I will definitely be back!
I love going here for a Mother’s Day brunch. Service is friendly, the food is great and it’s so fun to walk around the beautiful farm!
Great evening out with that special person or a group of close friends...provides something different to do in Austin
The experience was lovely even if You like to eat by yourself! But if you love to dine By yourself it would be one level up.
I took my mom for dinner here as part of our Mother's Day weekend celebrations and we loved it! It was a chilly night so we were greeted with warm smiles and blankets. We were seated promptly and offered a complimentary cocktail. Shortly after, we went on a walk around the property - it was very quaint. The food was delicious and fresh. Although it's a prix fixe menu, you are not left feeling full and uncomfortable. The portions and pairing are perfection! I highly recommend this place! Great experience.
I cannot say enough good things about Eden East!! Seven of us came for a nice dinner out for my best friend’s bachelorette party. The scenery/farm is amazing, the food is even more amazing, and the service was perfect...our waitress was so much fun! This is a dinner and experience all wrapped into one. Hands down our favorite part of our weekend trip to Austin! Also I haven’t stopped thinking about the dessert since I ate it. Best dessert I’ve ever tasted!
Wonderful spot. We went on a perfect spring day and the food and service matched the weather, perfect. Loved being able to walk around the farm before dinner. Will definitely be back.
What a fabulous unique experience in the middle of a city! From cafe lights to Chandeliers in the trees to chicken coops to straw on the ground all together making a magical evening. Dining was casual and at a relaxed pace where you can get up and wander the grounds in between courses. Service was more like at a good friends home. It’s BYOB. The food is amazing!
Best ambiance experience in ATX. Outdoor dining but felt like a magical garden party. The farm was adorable and the setting was so romantic. Highly recommend.
We went for Easter Sunday and there were 4 of us. And this review is a consensus for all 4 of us. The food was absolutely tasteless.
They started with passed appetizers - one of which was a polenta cake with a fish topping. The cake was so greasy, it was inedible. I wish I would have taken pictures now...
One guest was a vegan and we asked for them to bring a polenta cake without the fish on top. We were told, "the passed apps only come as they are - no substitutions". I explained that I wasn't substituting, I was just asking for no fish on top. But, no, they would;dn't do it... There was only one passed app out of 4 that was vegan - which was roasted beets.
The kitchen was literally 4 feet away with a window. It was not exceptionally busy, so it would have been very easy for the waitress to request a polenta cake with no fish... but she wouldn't.
We told her about our vegan friend and so she was given - 1) Roasted Beets as a passed app - 2) Roasted Beets in a tortilla for the main meal and 3) Roasted Beets in a bowl as a side dish.... that's it...
The fried quail was absolutely tasteless while the short rib tacos had some kind of hard, overcooked edges that made it too chewy to eat...
We really wanted to like the place but the wait staff was not warm or welcoming and the food was not but but seriously terrible. And we are HUGE foodies....
The worst part was the check. I was shocked that the check was $300. There was nothing that warranted that large of a bill.
We def will not be coming back to Eden East....
What a beauty! The salad was the only thing food wise that was truly phenomenal and the redfish in fact tasted like it was a day or two past it's prime - not too fresh. Despite this, I would recommend it on a Spring day/summer night to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful farm and cute farm to table vibe. The fact that it's BYOB with no corkage fee is a major plus as well, and complimentary cocktails! Without this element, I'm not sure the value would be there at $70/head, but I loved being able to bring a couple good bottles of wine at retail price. I will be back to try their Sunday brunch and farmstand!
Loved every minute of it!!!
It is very overpriced. I was shocked by the bill. More than $160 for two people??? In an open place, with a food truck and BYOB.
Food was nice, dessert was not... and definitely not worth the price
Our small group of friends had the most loveliest time at Eden East. We arrived early to give ourselves time to walk around the farm before dinner. Dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding. Can't wait for our next visit!
We loved this place so much! Very quaint and peaceful.
It is with a very heavy heart that I saw the re-zoning sign posted. God I'm going to miss this place.
The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, the portions were perfect, everything paired well, the ambiance was lovely and the staff was kind and knew so much about the food. Wonderful experience.
An amazing dining experience. Every dish was delicious, the staff was fantastic, and how could you not love the beautiful setting!
Honestly, I was disappointed. Crickets in my desert? On purpose? Also, my fish was overcooked and the ceviche did not taste very fresh. I loved the atmosphere however, it just seemed way overpriced for what you got. I really wanted to like this place, but I definitely did not have the experience I was hoping for.
We love the ambiance but the food wasn't as unique or tasty. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. This combined with the ambiance will always make us return.
Truly unique venue with wonderful staff and amazing food. A must when in Austin!
Fabulous experience! We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner and it was above our expectations. Im uncertain if our experience was specific for this Holiday, but as you arrived they had a 70s style Van where we had our photo taken (included with our evening experience) inside with fun and cute props! It’s a working farm so you’re not going to see any fancy building, but an open air style seating (you are under a roof) with twinkling lights and chandeliers, and long picnic tables, so you have to be comfortable sitting next to strangers (or you should come in a group:). A two-piece band played jazzy style music, and to top it off, they included delicious cocktails while you waited on the waitress, and offered as many as we wanted throughout the meal. The five course meal was scrumptious, including a small app, to die for oysters, very tasty salad and a main course juicy petite filet and a delicious dessert that I can’t even explain but I do know it included chocolate and crickets (very few and couldn’t tell they were crickets). It is on 5 acres and you were able to get up and walk around throughout the gardens whenever you’d like as waitress would hold next serving. On that point, it was not a lot of food so if you’re a big guy, it might not be enough. My BF said it could have been a little more. It isBYOB and most everyone had a bottle of Vino.
We go out often in Austin and prefer different experiences and this came in as one of our favs! Only downside was parking along the street so be careful! Oh, and they also gave us a sample of their honey. They have a few items for sale inside their little store...a must try!
We had a fantastic time at Eden East on Friday! They were extremely accommodating for the cold, rainy weather. We also had several people in our party with severe food allergies and the dishes they made for them were equally as amazing and not one person felt as though they were missing out on the wonderful food. It's not often one gets a farm to table experience like we did. The food was fresh, delightfully seasoned, and we were all tickled by the parmesan cricket grits! They even had complementary cocktails from a local vodka distillery (Deep Eddy) and they even opened and poured the wine we brought (BYOB establishment). I highly recommend Eden East to anyone looking to enjoy an out of the box restaurant experience where you can truly understand what fresh, authentic food really tastes like!
Great service. Incredible food. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Best dinner ever! Can’t wait to come back
Really good food, but not mind-blowing. The allure comes in the venue space, ambiance, and the sourcing of the ingredients. For the price tag attached, was not impressed with the food.
Service and presentation was great.
One of the best restaurants in Austin. Great food, atmosphere, and live music.
Food was outstandig and delicious. Service attentive but not obtrusive
I love this restaurant features farm to table cuisine. Truly special!
The brunch weekend/holiday prefix menu was okay. The highlight was the hot hors d'oeuvres that were passed around, most notably the perfectly melt-in-your-mouth cut of steak on a skewer.
We made the reservation and clearly stated the needs of our large party, including 2 children with food allergies and one that is vegan. Sadly, the kitchen was not prepared with alternate food items for them and our food took quite a long time to come out. When it did arrive, the special food items were not ready, and came later.
Paying $60 per head for brunch ($30 for kids), and communicating ahead of time, we didn't feel it was worth the prices we paid. Additionally, they sat us at the outside perimeter of the tent knowing we had children with us. It was uncomfortably cold at times. Not the best choice for seating with children. We won't be back with a large group at this price.
This experience and service level is much better suited for smaller groups and/or those with no special food requests, despite the high price of nearly $700 for the entire meal.
Fabulous evening. Location is on organic farm, great outdoor covered communal seating at large tables. Spacing was good which allowed for private conversations among the groups and couples gathered. Food was excellent, creative, delicious, fresh from the farm. Staff are great, warm & friendly, and courses served with good timing. Bring your own beverage. They did offer a complimentary cocktail which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend.
We’ve enjoyed dining at Eden East several times. The best times, of course, are when the weather is good, but we had a delightful time even though it was cold outside. Our meal was the best we’ve ever had there. Both the black drum and beef cheeks were superb. Always be sure to stroll through the garden to see what’s growing!
Lovely night at Eden East! What a beautiful setting, and the food and service were amazing.
