We had a grand time at the Edelweiss on New Years Eve. Great food, excellent service, and fine music in a cozy, warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!
We had a great birthday dinner for the rock of our family, MOM”. Happy Birthday!
Loved the entertainment—accordion/keyboard/singer.
The food was very good. We really enjoyed it. However, the Service was poor. Clearly under staffed for lunch time. They had 2 large tables and 1 other. The 4 of us waited about 45 minutes to get our food. Which is too long if you have to get back to work. Atmosphere was great. Very conducive for conversation. Had a mix up with the bill. The split bill was for another table. Ended up paying the difference after leaving. Will definitely go back again. We are sure the service will be better next time.
Dinner with Santa was so fun! Forgot what a treasure Edelweiss is.
Our first was very nice. Great service and the food was very good and authentic German fare. Quaintly decorated. We will be back.
The menu seems to have been cut way down, hope that’s not a sign of bad things to come! I’ll be crushed!
Food was good, but our server was not. After she took our order we barely saw her. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. One of the bus boys asked if we had ordered and went to the kitchen to get our food. Our waitress never came back to get another drink order. We had to ask another waitress to get our waitress for us to ask for our bill after waiting almost 30 min after we had finished our food. It was not that crowded.
Best restaurant we have been to in a long time! Highly recommend!
Birthday party dinner. Great fun.
The food, the service, the staff and the quality of food is always excellent
Food was well prepared, Music was wonderful, Hostess was very friendly.
Definitely a return to place
Perfect spot for get togethers with family and friends. We enjoyed the goulash soup, the outstanding pretzel, wiener schnitzel and terrific strudel for dessert. It's always a pleasure to dine at this tried and true neighborhood treasure.
Very happy with the whole day, felt like I was in Germany, good beer , great food and our server was very good. My first time eating authentic German food and really enjoyed it. Drove 50 miles and it was worth it, will go back again
Good Beer, Good food
Missing a little Gemütlichkeit
Food is great. Wait staff attentive and very friendly. Next time will come to hear the German band.
Even though there was music for October Fest with the band, it was very conversation friendly for our group. The food, staff and ambiance were all great. We will be back!
Good food. Delicious beer. Great service. Nice, pleasant music. What else to expect from good restaurant.
Great atmosphere and awesome beer. Also, Josephine is an awesome waitress.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Ample portions- enough for left overs!
Will be back.
Anthony behind the bar and Josephine, the best waitress are always excellent. Well worth the trip for authentic German cuisine and a large variety of real German beers.
We had a great evening celebrating my daughter's birthday. Food and service at Edelweiss was excellent as always. Live music and entertainment by Alpine Thunder was outstanding also.
This is a "must go to" for German Food and Bier and Octoberfest!
In the past, one of our favorite places for family celebrations. This time, though, it was a disaster. Too many tables crammed together --- to the point that we couldn't even push our chairs out to get in or out. Not enough wait staff to service the amount of patrons. Orders confused. Food came cold --- or some things didn't ever arrive. Not the wait staff's fault --- they were overworked and trying to serve too many large groups. After two and a half hours, had to go find our server to ask for a check and some take out containers ---- and then another VERY RUDE server told us we had to leave because we had gone over the two-hour limit (which we were never informed of). In fact, our server gave us the dessert menu at the two hour and fifteen minute mark --- and we waited another 15 minutes for the desserts to arrive. When the rude server told us we had to leave, I told her I was waiting to get my credit card returned --- and waited another ten minutes for that. It was not our fault that dinner went that long --- not enough help!! And, to top it off, we were there to also hear the music for Oktoberfest --- which never happened. The band sat on the stage and drank for over an hour without playing. We left without hearing a note --- which made our 94 year old father, who's birthday we were there to celebrate, extremely unhappy. We knew from past experience it is a very expensive place and accept that if the food and service are good. We were seeking best possible celebration for our father. NEVER going to Edelweiss again. Epic fail all the way around.
The food was not very hot like it had been sitting waiting for the server to pick up and take to the table. Some of the meat choices (especially the Schnitzel) were dry and probably overcooked. I felt like $110.00 for a meal for 4 was an overpayment for the quality we received
Music was excellent as well as food and service
Definitely will be back
Genuine Germany food ...however the liver dumpling soup was bland. Hugh portions enough for two meals.
Just a lunch out with my wife and sister. The Jager Schnitzel, Weiner Schnitzel and Sauerbraten entrees were all excellent with large portions. Very good food!
We had a very nice time at dinner on Saturday night during the Oktoberfest celebration. The services was truly outstanding and the food was very good. The beer selection was also 'top notch'. We'll be back!
Do not like valet parking should have more than disabled parking space also hard to get around in with cane or walker tight space
Octoberfest so had German band playing made it a lot of fun but at times a little loud to talk. Great food - got the Schnitzel sampler and could try chicken, pork, and veal schnitzel that were all wonderful. Great soup that comes with and choice of two sides. Wonderful place. About the 8th time I have been there as I live out of town but will be back
Terrific Octoberfest entertainment and beer. The waitress was very pleasant and provided good service.
Edelweiss is always great but during Oktoberfest it is terrific. The entertainment was also extremely fun.
Awesome experience. Great food an service. Will be heading back there soon.
First time at restaurant and we were not disappointed. Since it was a Sunday, our 1 PM meal was a dinneer and we all took home leftovers. Great service and food.
We went with friends based on a previous visit and were greatly disappointed by the food. I had the veiner schnitzel which was so tough I could barely eat it and didn’t. It was tough, over cooked and very dry. Like it was old and reheated. The red cabbage was great and the potato salad as well. I was very embarrassed when our guest had to dunk her schnitzel in her red cabbage to make it edible.
Family reunion midday Sunday for 20 people. Very good service and food. Our event was a great success.
Went here for Oktoberfest/reunion with my siblings. Although it was kind of hectic with wonderful German music and lots of people having fun, we got our beer and food quickly and with great hospitality. Had a fun time and ate delicious food.
Food was great. The service was excellent. I wish I could remember our servers name. She was incredibly efficient & sooooo nice.
