I come to Eddie V’s every year for my wedding anniversary and this time was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced...server came every 30mins which is totally unacceptable.I was here for almost 3hrs.Next year will definitely go somewhere else.I understand it was valentines weekend but the service was a no no .
Great experience from the valet service to atmosphere and table service
Anthony was great as our server. Will go back again soon
On top of my date being amazingly beautiful, from the music, to the Smoky Old Fashions and the food we had a great time. Not to mention Jeanice (spellcheck) our waitress did a great job to make sure we had everything we needed from the moment we sat down until we departed. She even held the door open for us on our way out...👍🏾
The staff there are attentive and professional. Our server was Jose and he was wonderful. The food was amazing, especially the kung pao calamari and the banana foster dessert. Also, the lobster mash potatoes is a dish of delicious-ness!
Good food. Food was a bit over priced but excellent environment and Sergio provides great service. Only complaint was the valet. They did a good job but a bit immature with unnecessary comments. Overall good experience and I'll return again.
Awsome best service I've ever had.
Eddie V’s is home to some phenomenal Seafood! First time visit to Eddie V’s, we asked our server for a recommendation and she suggested the lobster tacos as an appetizer and sea bass for our entree. Everything was amazing, the tacos were on fresh tortillas, with perfectly prepared, succulent lobster with house made pico. The sea bass was described as Cajun, but I thought the spice boarded on sweet- it was served with a huge mound of crab meat and a large shrimp- everything was outstanding and I feel comfortable saying it was the best Chilean sea bass I have ever had. We had a hot chocolate cake for dessert that was just the perfect ending for an outstanding meal. We will return next time we are in Houston!
We always enjoy every meal and experience at Eddie V's. We leave looking forward to the "next time!"
Been to Eddie V’s many times. Never felt so taken care of. Waiter was amazing and they treated us well for valentines day
Jose was a great waiter
Amazing. Thank you for honoring my request of a quiet dining room. Everything was perfect. Food cooked to perfection! 5 stars!
Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. It was a great night out and the staff made us feel welcome.
Valentine’s Day in the lounge area was great. Food and music was phenomenal.
We couldn't have asked for better service during out Valentines day visit to Eddie Vs! They were patient with us even though we were running late for our reservation. The flowers I ordered my girlfriend were on the table when we arrived. Our server Candice was outstanding! She was very professional, classy, and extremely helpful with everything. She even took the time to take photos of us. At the end she took the flowers to the valet for us. I can't say enough about the tremendous experience we had a Eddie Vs!
“Attention to the details” is the best way to describe the experience at Eddie V’s – West Ave. “Consistency” is another. This is the only Eddie V’s location we have been to, but we have been there several times. It has always been the same excellent experience.
Service was great!
Had an amazing time! Would definitely recommend. :)
It was our 25th wedding anniversary. And we come to Eddie V 's every anniversary since 2015. And it is the BEST dinning experience ever. And my wife and I frequent fabulous restaurants weekly. And Eddie V s is the best. Thanks. We will see you soon.
Great food and good service. One order got mixed up but they gave us free dessert and a thousand apologies from the server and manager. Still a great resturant.
Ask for Rodger... He had been there since they opend.. Great server
The service was great and the food was outstanding.
general Mgr was arrogant. Waitress was robotic. New York strip I could better
I always enjoy Eddie V's. The band in the lounge was really enjoyable.
Outstanding menu with both classics from land and sea as well as unique treats. Special steaks (can't miss the bone-in rib-eye) and accompaniments (even king crab legs for those who can't decide). Overall a wonderful night!
Food and Waiters I can say enough good things about. The only thing I noticed was slow service at the bar and many people were upset waiting on drinks and refills. When your drink is empty for 10 minutes and know one notices that's a problem. In 30 minutes were able to get one round however our table guess were not able to get served before our table came ready and there was ampule time to address them.
Caesar Salad tasteless. Sole not up to your normal standard. Crab cake excellent
Service is always impeccable. Our waiter Christian exceeded our expectations. Never rushed.
All ways a great evening out. My wife loves the crabcakes. My favorite Is the bone in Ribeye. Delicious sides.
The service is one of a kind at Eddie V’s. Everyone you come across makes you feel special. The food was amazing but the desserts are over the top!!! You will not regret going here!
Absolutely
Ana is always very welcoming!! Food and ambiance are great
Food and ambiance was great as always. My server was pretty unenthusiastic and rushed. I have had better severs in the past and maybe he was just having a bad day. Regardless, it did take away from the occasion
I had the Chilean Sea Bass. The soy was sort of sweet which was a surprise to me. Great cut of fish, didn’t care for the sauce. My wife ordered a shrimp dish that was also sweet. She did not care for her meal. On the real positive side the service was outstanding.
Everything was first class, food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and we will be back as soon as possible, thoroughly enjoyed it!
This is a very special place for us! Lovely memories and great food and ambiance. High quality staff food and outstanding service at an exceptional price.
This was my second time dining here and I was underwhelmed this time. I mentioned to the manager on duty that my medium rare steak was charred and overcooked and he said he'd put that in my profile. He didn't offer any resolution. That really disappointed me. The server was friendly, but didn't do a 2 minute 2 bite check back and seemed more busy with training someone than serving. The crab fried rice, truffle mac, and creme brulee were amazing, but I doubt I will return.
The menus food options was limited---This was our second visit and the first time the food tasted much better. For the price paid---and the way the food tasted (lobster tail) ---I could not recommend a return visit. We also had to ask the waitress for a hand towel---while other staff appeared to automatically provide to their customers
The table we were sat at was awkward and it felt like we were in the way of the nearby booths. Our party of 5 was seated at a long rectangle table (2 tables put together), so 3 people sat on one-side and 2 on the other. It was difficult to converse and our table was uncomfortably close to the booths nearby. It felt like we were “in the way” the entire time.
The food was also mediocre vs. previous times we have dined here. The signature truffle Mac n cheese was undercooked - noodles were chewy and not even to an “al dente.” My Alaskan King Crab was pitiful - dried out and the portion (1/2 lb) was tiny on the plate. My husband’s bone-in tomahawk was disappointing - lacked flavor and was full of fat and over-cooked (ordered medium rare plus and it was definitely cooked medium plus.
The ahi tuna appetizer and crab cake were delicious, as were the desserts: banana foster cake and apple pie a la mode.
Service was very good.
We will most likely not choose Eddie V’s again when celebrating special occasions.
