Excellent service and great food selection. Love the special touch and attention to detail.
Eddie V's was so amazing!! My best friend and I had such a great time and she said it was the best birthday dinner she's ever had. Thank you so much!
Very crowded and had to wait much longer for a table then usual. Fish was very good but the filet mignon was not good being over cooked and grisly.
It used to be truly FINE DINING. The standard has gone down :
One of our plates was dirty, it had spinach underneath and grossly smeared my partner's hand.
The bread was as hard as a rock.
The ( live music) ambiance is still the best.
The food is still good & pricey.
Personally will stop by for drinks but not to dine anymore!
Outstanding! Had a great time. Dinner and cocktails were delicious! Band was great and the ambiance was as well! They accommodated a nice set up for me for a special occasion and I am so grateful and my party was so pleased! I’ll definitely be returning next month for my birthday dinner!
Excellent restaurant, we can not wait to go again.
The only thing I would recommend is to lower the music. It is very loud considering the fact that the place is a restaurant not a concert venue. I would still give it a five star though. Excellent food, great atmosphere and service.
Overall a good experience. Not the place to go for a quiet evening out. The place was pretty full, a piano player was playing by the bar. The area by the bar and the piano player was very loud and I found myself pausing, but it got a little calmer and quieter when we got to our table.
The food was good, the service was decent but the price tag was hefty.
Really appreciate Eddie V’s putting us in a private room
The fish tacos had great flavor but not much fish.
Great service and nice personal touches to help celebrate a special occasion.
The food was outstanding. Had a crab and corn chowder which was excellent - and then a filet with brussel sprouts and cheesy au gratin potatoes. They recognized my wife's birthday with a complimentary dessert. I have yet to have anything but an outstanding experience in my visits there.
We had a large party (my family of 11). The meal was fantastic, sequence of service was on point, but not over intrusive. The food was delicious from apps, to entrees, to sides, to desserts. We’ll definitely be back!
Minor snag at the tail end-Valet parking closed at like 9:30 so we got a text that said we’re closing in 15 minutes, but we were still mid-meal. When we were leaving, we were told to cross the street to the Hyatt to get our car, but turns out they recently changed that, and we had to cross back over again and it was in the garage underneath.
Our server , I think his name was Kevin. That man is the god of servers. Just saying
It is wonderful- pricey but...worth it for a special occasion.
In spite of having a reservation, they consistently have you wait about 15-20 minutes before seating you. This has happened over and over, regardless of what night of the week. This time after waiting we were seated in a booth at the bar which is very lively, noisy and not what you would expect after a reservation and waiting. We were told to move to the dining room would be an additional 20 minutes. I find this to be unacceptable. In the end we were moved but not after great discussion. Food and service are very good however the incident soured the evening. Eddie V you lost us as customers.
We dined at Eddie V's to celebrate with friends whom we had not seen for some time. The entire experience was memorable - from the ambiance to the quality of the food and wine to the service. We thoroughtly enjoy Eddie V's and consider it to be one of the best restaurants in the Tyson's area.
we had the oysters, burrata salad, steak entree salad, salmon. 4 stars instead of 5 becase we expected better shucking. The food however is CLEAN and for that, we would have put 5 stars--it felt like the chef wanted the ingredients to speak and not be muted by over-seasoning. Service would have been 5, but we had to ask for bread three times (perhaps the disconnect happened elsewhere, but expected the deliver to happen sooner. I hate to fault the server because I am sure he did his best, BUT...if the oven the bread was still baking or something, communication might have been good). The table close to us were waiting longer for their food, so maybe it was just an off-day at the restaurant. The host crew were great and very accommodating. Ambiance was great in the sense that the chairs were comfortable, the table set well, and that the restaurant had great sound proofing (so many places now are just too loud). Better attention to the bathroom might be a good idea--the family bathroom was untidy (most likely the previous guest) but seemed like it really needed a deep clean. For the quality of food, level of service, and the traditionally curated table setting, Eddie V is a prices very, very competitively. If the THREE full service restaurants on the esplanade Eddie V is on, they win. Of all the restaurants in the complex, I think they still come out on top. If i put them next to ALL the restaurants within a 1mi radius, they are on my top 3 list.
Bad. Cheesy atmosphere average food I’ll not return.
I took my boyfriend out for dinner for his birthday to Eddie V's and they spoiled us throughout the whole evening. Starting with the great service and the complimentary champagne toast and desert to finish up the night. We had great food and enjoyed the live music as well. I definitely would go back and recommend this to friends and family. The only reason I put one less star is that the Brussels sprouts and the Medd. Branzino were okay but everything else from starters to drinks were great! Thank you!
Excellent food with good service, bustling environment with live music...crab cakes and lobster bisque were my favs...salmon was perfectly cooked...apple cobbler was divine. We were seated in the front of the restaurant near the bar...and it was difficult to hear over the music and noise from the bar...for conversations, I would suggest a table in the back. But perfect otherwise.
This is our favorite restaurant in the area. It was my wife’s birthday so there was no question where we were going. Food, service, ambiance, location, it’s all Top Notch. It’s definitely pricey but you get what you pay for. And they do the little extras to make a special occasions memorable. For our anniversary they placed rose petals on the table. For both our anniversary and her birthday the dessert plates came with the occasion spelled out in chocolate. It makes it just a little more special. And the FOOD is simply OUTSTANDING!! We love Eddie V’s.
Overall was a great experience ,but our reservation was at 9.15,was seated at 10
Great ambiance with live music. Great people and good service.
Night out in Tyson’s Corner wait was extremely long with reservation, accommodating front hostess, great wait staff, good food (crab fried rice) moderated prices, nice view and thank you to management for understanding our wait time...strongly recommend
MUST.GET.OYSTERS! By far the best thing that was served all night. That and the smokey old fashion. I wasn't impressed with the desserts, we ordered 2 and wasn't in love with either. Also the service could be slightly improved. Our server forgot so many things: water refills, sauces, shrimp add-on to the steak (which is a loss of money for the restaurant), ice cream with the dessert, and to pack a 1/2 eaten crab cake.
Excellent food and attentive service. My only complaint is each time I have dined there I have experienced an excessively long wait to be seated (with reservations) which is compounded by the rather small and crowded entrance area.
Food was pretty good overall but nothing special. One dish... the mashed potatoes was inedible due to the amount of salt. The noise in there is incredible. You cannot hear anything in there. And the service was very slow
We made dinner reservations here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. When I booked the reservation, I noted that it was our first anniversary with the hopes that they’d seat us somewhere with a nice view. We were so surprised when they seated us by the window overlooking the city skyline, with a thoughtful card, and rose petals in the shape of a heart. It was a simple yet elegant little touch that made our night extra special. The service was impeccable and our hostess was extremely attentive. Our food was delicious, and although a bit pricey, the quality was quite worth it. We didn’t realize there was live music playing (jazz?) that night as well, which added to the already great ambiance. We would definitely return here to celebrate other special occasions.
Outstanding lobster roll in bar at lunch!
The Smokey Old Fashioned, the Yellowtail Sashimi, Lobster Tacos, and Jumbo Chilled Shrimp were great. The Lobster Bisque was all bland cream and probably a quarter ounce of overcooked lobster. Two of us ordered the 8oz. Filet (both ordered medium rare) and Lobster combo, and we both thought it was horrendous at a whopping $83. The filet was tough, gritty and way over charred/blackened on the outside, and cold and nearly blue on the inside. The filets didn't even appear to be good cuts. The broiled lobster with drawn butter was tough and bland. Had we not been with a client at the meal, we would have sent both back. After tax and tip, that's $200 for those two entrees. You're better off at any of the other dozen high-end steak houses in Tyson's Corner.
As always the food and wine were outstanding. The service provided by Kimberly was superb. She was wonderful.
Without a doubt, THE top restaurant in Tysons Corner. I've never had a bad dish and have been there many times. If I were to change anything, I'd recommend REAL martini shaped glasses, not champagne/parfait glasses for a martini. The sole is sublime, the lobster tacos over the top and their desserts are amazing.
This said, DO NOT USE THEIR VALET PARKING!!! AmeriPark handles it and has the WORST system ever, requiring your mobile phone number and charging $7 per car plus a $1 "convenience fee" (?? as if you have a choice) plus tip for the valet all for unacceptable service (or lack thereof). I've waited over 15 minutes for my car while watching others come and go... gotten downstairs only to have the valet tell me he's "sent my car back", and yesterday, to find out their system has "changed" and now you have to actually send a text to get your car brought around (but you have to pay without a link to request your car). AmeriPark also handles the parking for the Hyatt across the street who gets top priority. Now they have your mobile number so they send you text solicitations. (Or maybe you need a call on your mobile to procure a student loan?)
I'd recommend parking in any garage in Tysons Mall, or Ubering. After numerous tries, I'd rather walk a mile in high heels than ever use them again.
On Eddie V's - GO - It's worth the effort. Hands down, it's excellent.
David V, our table attendant, was amazing. Seriously, he could be a white glove server in the most elite European restaurant and still be impressive. His attentiveness and service combined with great food made this a truly outstanding experience at Eddie V’s.
Eddie V’s has pushed its way up to one of my favorite restaurants in one visit! From the ambience, the food, the customization of our experience and the customer service, have no complaints. Everything was top notch!
My fiancé and I visited Eddie V’s for our anniversary this past weekend. I made the reservation via open table and put in “Anniversary” as our special occasion. We had a few minutes wait for our table so we went to the bar to order drinks. Our table as ready before our drinks came out and it was well worth the few minute wait. I would like to think we had the best table in the house! The table was a semi-booth and we were able to sit next to each other looking over the dining room. Our table was covered in rose petals and the hostess wished us a Happy Anniversary as she seated us. Mitchell was our server and he was THE BEST! He was very eager to please, answered all questions, was very efficient and definitely added to our wonderful experience.
We started with the lobster bisque (me), crab corn chowder (him) and the ahi tuna tartare (shared). So delicious and filling. The soups were both a great consistency and flavor. The tuna tartare was very fresh and tasty. We usually opt for different entrees so we can share but we both wanted the Chilean Sea Bass Hong Kong style and after Mitchell confirmed it was his favorite fish on the menu we both decided to get it, along with the crab fried rice and brussel sprouts. This was the best decision as the sea bass was so good, I’m sure neither one of us would have wanted to share. The sea bass was very flavorful and almost melted in your mouth. The portion size was very good as I did not finish mine. My fiancé finished his along with a bite of mine. The sides were equally as delicious. we had the Banana Foster Butter Cake and the Hot Chocolate Godiva Cake. Both great but Butter Cake was the winner. Eddie V’s has an innovated cocktail list with a great selection. Thank you for a great night!
Despite having a relatively early reservation for 2 and waiting 20 minutes, we were seated at a table at the very entrance to the bar and I mean essentially in the bar. It was constant traffic and very loud. We then waited 40 minutes between our appetizer and our main course which arrived an hour and five minutes after we were seated. When the food arrived, the entrees were fine but the sides tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for half an hour. Eddie Vs had been our go to place for a special meal. The price was still the same, ($300 for two) , but the service has gone decidedly downhill. It looks like another Washington area restaurant that starts out well and then the food, the service and the care factor dwindle.
It was my husband's birthday and they rolled out the red carpet for us although they forgot the heat. They were having problems with their heating system on a very chilly night however, to make up for the chill they did everything they could to keep us comfortable. Our server, David, provided outstanding service and the manager stopped by our table several times during the evening to make sure we were ok. They did a magnificent job in taking care of us to make sure my husband's birthday celebration was the best ever. The food was wonderful, the service was A+, the dessert and drinks great, and the music from the jazz trio set the mood. It was a fun evening even in spite of the cold.
Excellent Service. Good food. They could improve on the dessert menu though. Only one chocolate Lava type cake and it is so rich and strong that you can only have one spoonful. Quiet environment. All and all very nice experience.
