Eddie V's - Seaport District Ratings and Reviews
One of the best experiences at Eddie V's. We went for anniversary dinner and asked for a quiet table. They went above and beyond in this regard. Granted it was a Tuesday but there were diners in the bar area and the middle dining area. We had the whole dining area to ourselves and was able to hear the live music at a comfortable level. My wife and I we able to enjoy a romantic dinner just the two of us. No detail was overlooked and our server Will was very attentive but not intrusive. The food was exceptional as usual. We always enjoy coming to Eddie V's but this night was definitely a special one. Thank you to all the Eddie V staff.
This was our first time there and we absolutely loved it! The service was exceptional, Dustin was so professional and knowledgeable of the menu making recommendations to us. The place was nice and cozy with a lot of attention to the diners. I loved the food it was so delicious and gourmet. The dessert was amazing and left all of us satisfied. It is a great to celebrate all occasions and the staff genuinely care and pay attention that all is perfect for the diners. I will definitely return soon and share my experience eating there with all my friends who enjoy eating out from time to time in a nice fancy place.
I was in California for the Rose Bowl. I was flying out from San Diego. I have eaten at Eddie V’s in La Jolla 10 times & always love it. I couldn’t resist trying the one in San Diego. They did not disappoint ! They had live music in the bar from 6:30 on. Happy hour pricing till7:00. We moved from the bar to our table & Still enjoyed the music. I had the Caesar ‘s salad ( the best ) and Parmesan crusted sole. It was a large portion & delicious! Same as in La Jolla. Don’t miss Eddie V’s!!!
Our visits and meals at Eddie V's have always been special and never disappointing. The service and ambiance are top notch and the superb food selections are always great. Ruth Chris used to be our "go to" restaurant for special occasions but now it's Eddie V's.
We visited New Years Eve, a time when restaurants are typically serving hastily pre-prepared dinners off preset menus. Not the case here. They had the full menu. Offered no rush dinners.
The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be going back soon.
Beautiful room with attentive and professional service team. My lobster bisque and halibut were excellent. On the other hand, my wife’s ahi tartar appetizer lacked culinary creativity and her scallops were noticeably over salted.
Both the waitress and dining room manager checked on us during our meal so we had ample opportunity to send the scallops back; we chose not to complain. We’ll give them one more try in the future.
Everything was great except they ran out of the snow crab and trip to substitute with other crab legs. They were old and not tasty however when I brought it up our waiter was Outstanding took it right off check!!! Nice job, but cook should have known better
Christmas Eve. The girls in the entry are clueless. When my husband and I arrived my daughter was already at the table and they told us the table would be 10-15 minutes while they made us wait for this clueless girl to show us to our table. She had no clue. We asked why she made us wait when our table was ready and she got all confused. Maybe hire some smarter people to deal with customers.
What an evening. My parents and I always choose a "special occasion" restaurant for Christmas Eve, and this was our pick this year. Service went above and beyond. We sat in the lounge area and were treated to one of the best jazz combos I have ever heard. We all enjoyed the lobster bisque (with a big piece of lobster actually swimming in it!) My dad and I had the shrimp with crab dish...the shrimp were so big we needed steak knives! My mom had the swordfish and it was melt in your mouth fantastic. Not a cheap restaurant, but by any stretch, a great value. I will be back for sure!
We went to this restaurant for Christmas Eve. We made reservations in advance. When we arrived we were seated on the third floor which we did not like but hostess was very nice and moved us to a booth on the second floor. Food was outstanding! Rather loud and crowded but it was a holiday so we understood that. Our waiter was amazing, somewhat slow but he was very busy. The price was very high but well worth it as everything we ordered was delicious. We will go there again on a non-holiday for sure.
We are regulars at Eddie V's and usually have a good experience. I requested a private room, which we had last year on Christmas Eve. The manager called me several days in advance to confirm, but did not let me know I didn't get the room I requested. Our reservation was at 4:30 and the private room was vacant until 6. Out of courtesy I should of been notified, I would of gone somewhere else. The service was okay and the food was okay. Not our best visit.
First time coming to this location. Usually me and my husband go to the La Jolla location but we decided to switch it up! Different atmosphere based on scenic views but one thing that doesn’t change is the food. Its constantly consistently delicious. The shrimp are just unbeatable and the Ribeye is impeccable! Appetizers Shrimp cocktail and Calamari are a must! Main course all steaks are great but the Ribeye is phenomenal. Side must haves are Lobster Mash, Au Gratin Cheddar Potatoes, and Truffled Mac and Cheese! Dessert Crème Brûlée and Hot Chocolate Godiva Cake! You’ll thank me later.
