Eddie V's - Scottsdale Quarter Ratings and Reviews
We were very disappointed in the food. I ordered the Sole and couldn’t even taste the fish. The breading was too buttery and thicker than the fish. It was then swimming in a pool of the butter sauce. A light breading and small amount of sauce would have made it a wonderful dish. The service was good but not exceptional, it did not live up to the “white coat”service they pretended to have. In general, corporate “fine” dining that disappointed.
Great meal. The food was outstanding. The wine list was really well priced. Being priced well it allowed us to have a wine we would not have otherwise paid for due to the higher price. it is refreshing to see. Service seemed like it was new. Took asking for an item 2-3 times before we would get it. Definitely will be going back.
Loved the atmosphere, excellent service, great food! Lobster bisque was creamy but too light on flavor, lobster mashed potatoes were excellent though! The show-stopper was definitely their amazing bananas foster butter cake! Could be a regular drinks and dessert visit for sure!
Our total experience was excellent. Our waitress was very up lifting and knowledgeable of all menu items. Ambiance was very classy, yet casual. Food arrived quickly and the wait staff was very attentive !
The fare was expensive, but we felt the experience was worth it.
Really loved the meal and outstanding service from our waiter Brandon. Really excellent seafood. My only criticism is the wine list. World class seafood needs world class wine selection and the list was bound to domestic whites when I was anxious to have French whites to select from.
Excellent food, excellent service. We dined at Eddie V’s on our anniversary. When we arrived, our table had a sweet “Happy Anniversary” card and rose petals, a really nice touch to a romantic dinner. The complimentary dessert was awesome too. We were also seated by the live music band by request. Love this place!
Service was a little slow, veg order was incorrect and had to be adjusted, drink order was also mistaken and had to be adjusted, almost finished steak before sauce was delivered.
Sorry to see sweet corn removed from the menu.
Love this restaurant, particularly the lounge music, food quality and friendly staff. We
Lizette, our server, was amazing! GREAT suggestions, super friendly and enthusiastic. She really made our meal special.
I noted on my OpenTable reservation that it was our anniversary, and we were greeted by rose petals on our table and a card signed by the staff (1st Class in my book). We could have dined anywhere to celebrate our 25th Anniversary (!!), but we chose Eddie V’s because we wanted a memorable and fantastic meal - which we got.
The Prime Filet, Seafood Tower, Crab Cake, sides, and salads were ALL excellent! I think a Bucket List item is the Hot Chocolate Godiva Cake - was absolute culinary nirvana!
My wife and I have lived in the valley for 27 years with a goal of trying as many restaurants as we can find. Eddie V’s is at the top of our favorites list. Whether you are in main seating, the lounge, or the bar...the food, service, and drinks are the best. Dano and Danielle are some of the best servers we have had...and Scott is the best bartender by far! This place covers all the bases and does it well. Our recent guests feel the same way!
Food was good but not great for the price. One of us needed gluten free but there was no gluten free menu and though the server went to ask the chef if certain things were gluten free there was no clear response - he said there are some ingredients in the mashed potatoes with gluten but not much. How many ingredients can be in mashed potatoes and they are gluten free or they are not. They had some major delays in service but in the end the server compted us with free dessert.
We were seated almost 20 minutes after our reservation with no explanation and no offer to wait in the bar, which was packed. Once seated the service was slow getting started we had to request drinks and bread, but the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful once he got going. We ordered the seafood tower, salads and main dishes so it was way to much food. Waiter suggested the sea bass as my main, the portion was small and fairly bland though well cooked just not to my liking and it was a small serving size for the price.
A wonderful experience, beat our expectations. Enjoyed the smaller room that dampened the sound to the point that we could hear ourselves talk without having to raise our voices and it had a comfortable temperature setting. When we walked into other rooms, they were much cooler and would imagine they would be uncomfortable for diners after a while.
Perfection! Staff was attentive, knowledgeable & efficient. They moved around the dining room quickly but we never felt rushed & our server was friendly. The food was outstanding! We started with the calamari, which both the server & the food runner were sure to point out the 3 hot peppers that garnished the dish. My husband had the Caesar salad & ahi tuna tempura; I had the most flavorful heirloom tomato & mozzarella salad that I have ever eaten & the delicate, nicely crusted citrus scallops. We shared the s’mores dessert for the finale, which was wonderful. I certainly hope they open a Eddie V’s near our Capital Grille Raleigh NC. Highly recommended.
Exceptional all the way around. We were seated promptly in a booth as requested. We had a stellar waiter...all here have been excellent..but we particularly enjoyed Brandon. Food was superb and his wine recommendations were great. We had a lovely evening. Unfortunately, afterward instead of the Rolls Royce parked there, the Valet gave us our own ordinary vehicle back...but Ce la Vie!!!
