My waiter was rude and snaky. She acted like because I went there in jeans she could be rude. I left early because she truly embarrassed me. My friend who I was celebrating was treated poorly. She said she had been thee for ten years. Maybe she just jaded. The food was like always amazing.
Edwardo, our servicer was terrific, the ambiance was very nice and the food was excellent!!! The lobster mashed potato was to die for.
Went at 7pm on Sunday night. Waitstaff explained there was no salmon available as an entree and recommended the branzino instead which was fine. We ordered drinks, wine, appetizers and entrees, including the branzino. After being served the drinks and appetizers, we were informed that the branzino was not available ( at least 30 minutes after ordering it). She gave me a menu to select another entree. I informed her that nothing else on the menu appealed to me so I didn’t want anything else. Then she told me it would be complimentary which I told her was very generous since I wasn’t ordering anything else.
The manager never came over until we were having our desserts. Believe me, I did not starve but for such a high end restaurant it was very disappointing. We were not first time diners there. But maybe last time diners.
Excellent place! The BEST crab cakes I've ever eaten. Ever. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Everything was timed well, our server definitely had the "personal touch." He recommended the Bananas Foster Butter Cake...it was memorable. We would go back there and definitely eat the crab cakes and the dessert!
Great selections of fresh fish and steaks!!! Highly recommend!!!
Happy hour for a regular Margarita was $10 vs the spicy peppery Margarita which is $7 ... really ... $10 is waaaay too much for a simple Margarita ... once we moved from the bar to a booth still in the bar area the charge for the same Margarita was $11.50 ... very unhappy ... if you want repeat business from us locals don’t charge so much for a cocktail ... shame on you
First time there and was very pleased. The seafood was excellent as was everything we ordered. The added live music was perfect and made the bar-to-restaurant transition all fit together.
I would highly recommend it as a place to drop in for a drink, or as a high end dinning experience.
Excellent food and service as always.
Really delicious Sea Bass, great Crab infused rice. Veggies etc all very freshly
Nice hip atmosphere.
We liked the live band playing in the bar.
We will be back soon!
We came here for my son’s birthday, and had exceptional service and a wonderful dinner.
Filet mignon, great! Lobstaer mashed potatoes, great, but less amount than last time. Same high price but less. Hmmm
I haven’t been to Eddie V’s in such a long time, it was great!! The only bad thing was the crab legs, they were pretty pricey for 1 leg and they were dry but the crab cake and steak were delicious!! Really recommend!!
We had guest from Palm Springs and they wanted seafood for dinner so we dined at Eddie V’s. Absolutely wonderful food and our server Julia, I believe was by far one of the best server we have come across. We would recommend Eddie V’s without a doubt
Great food... Great service... Consistently excellent
The Scottsdale Road address is misleading and a misrepresentation. We were first time diners and were late in arriving because we were not familiar with the location of the restaurant. We did know the Scottsdale Road area. Both the auto navigation system and mobile device Google Maps could not get us to the restaurant. It was highly frustrating to be told by the navigation system to do U Turns on Scottsdale Road and that you are in front of the address. The fact of the matter is the restaurant is on Greenway hundreds of feet from Scottsdale Road.
My overall dining experience was really nice. The heirloom tomatoes were very good as was the crab cake that we ordered as an appetizers. Both my husband and I got the special, Chilean sea bass. Mine was perfect and I enjoyed it very much however my husbands was undercooked so he didn’t enjoy it as well. He should have made the server aware, but he didn’t bother. The service was top notch.
I went to Eddie V’s for dinner and had a great overall experience. The service was outstanding and gave us great dinner recommendations. My only challenge was that my steak was not tasty at all. I will stick to seafood next time since it’s known for great seafood.
Party of 8 with reservation. No water for the table until I asked. No bread until I asked. Long periods of time before next course. Dinner started at 6:30 and ended at 9 pm due to slow kitchen.
First time at Eddie V’s Scottsdale having been a satisfied patron of their La Jolla location for several years. We confined our menu choices to sea food this visit starting with the tower of jumbo shrimp, crab and lobster to accompany our generously poured cocktails. Chilean sea bass (Hong Kong style) came next together with the signature crab fried rice. So good. So good. So good! If you get the opportunity to dine here, don’t miss it. Ask for one of Dano’s tables. His attentive old world service anticipated our every need and helped to make this meal the highlight of our trip. Going for fresh sea food in the desert ordinarily can be risky. Not so at Eddie V’s
Food and service were excellent. Good ambiance. Great place for an occasion if u don’t mind the cost
Waiter very attentive to our needs explained menu in great detail
Got what we expected. Feels like 'a happening place' vs an intimate dining experience. All 4 entrees were very good. Have to purchase all the sides which gets expensive (we were prepared for that). Some entrees were skimpy for the price e.g. 2 very small lobster bodies (no claws) for $58 (maybe 10 bites)- expected better than that. When spending $180+ per person (cocktails but no wine and one dessert shared) you want to feel 'special'...this didn't.....just part of a big dining room group. Service was efficient, in a way too fast for wanting an evening out and professional but not overly friendly or attentive. All this was NOT a surprise since this kind of"fine" dining seems to be more and more the norm.
Really great food. Loved the sides and apps. Different choices than other high end steak houses. Excellent crab in both crab cake appetizer and crab fried rice side
Eddie V's in Scottsdale is one of our favorite places to dine. Stellar service, complimented with amazing food, cocktails & wine list. My husband and I really love the live music in the bar/ lounge area on Fri & Sat nights. This restaurant is fun, vibrant, and romantic. It's definitely a neighborhood gem, and worth the drive!
Adam our waiter was awesome!! And the bananas foster was out of this world!!
Great service & food was fantastic tonight. Halibut rocked.
Jeff the manager made our experience amazing!!
Edwardo is our favorite wAiter and always takes really good care of us.
Eater Sunday brunch was outstanding. Can’t wait for Mothers Day to have brunch here again!!!
The afternoon was nice however the room that we were sat in (across from the host stand, but not in the bar/lounge) was way too chilly. It was hard to try to ignore the cold temp in the room. We didnt want to complain given that it was Easter, but it felt like it was set to 64°, I'd guess. I think I overheard some other table asking about the cold temp.
Jim V.was our waiter. He did a nice job and had a great attitude. We both ordered the steak & eggs entree and both agreed that it would have been nicer to be given 2 eggs with the steak, rather than 1 prepared egg. The green fried tomatoes, which we both had, seemed not ripe at all. They were pretty hard tomatoes. The banana fosters dessert was amazing along with the paired up icecream....I think that was our favorite course. We would come back to try the seabass or halibut on the dinner menu. And of course, order the banana fosters again!!
Awesome food! Easter Brunch is wonderful, starting with the homemade cinnamon rolls the size of a desert plate. Selection of appetizer, entree and desert was excellent. Or you can order off the regular menu. Excellent service and atmosphere. Our favorite restaurant.
An excellent Easter Brunch as we have found these past three years. The fixed price Brunch menu is always interesting and the selections are prepared properly.
I was looking for an ala carte Easter Brunch and found Eddie V’s online. The brunch menu was perfect. I had the lobster quiche, or half of it. The other half reheated nicely the next day. My partner had the crab omelette and pronounced it perfect. Brunch is on offer again for Mother’s Day. We highly recommend it.
We had Easter brunch at Eddie V's. 3 courses very reasonably priced - $49 for adults and somewhat less for children. Food and service was exceptional. It really made for a happy Easter!
We had a wonderful dinner at Eddie V's. We requested a high table in the bar area so we could hear the wonderful live music. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was prepared to perfection. My husband chose the crab fried rice, as he always does, and he absolutely loved it. The bar area is intimate and perfect for a date night. We love this restaurant, and will definitely be back. The service was very attentive, but not overbearing. Thanks for a great evening
The music was lovely but too loud
The AC was so cold we decided to leave. Such a shame as we used to love Eddie Vs
Okay so this was my first time and we loved it!! Service and food top shelf. We will definitely come back.
Food was delicious, service was attentive, and atmosphere was nice. The only disappointment was having to wait 15 minutes past the reservation to be seated.
