I’ve been to Eddie V’s many times, it’s one of my favorites. Last night, however was not up to its usual standards. Our waiter was way too brisk, up attentive and not friendly. Our entrees took a very long time to come out. Not the level of service that I’m used to.
Waitress was wonderful. Food was wonderful. Jazz trio, wonderful. A+ experience.
Everything about the visit was wonderful.
Great food, great service, and great entertainment.
Great place, great food, great music, great service
I’ll be nack for sure !
I like it on the week nights. The weekend was very high energy.
Just perfect, well trained professional staff, well executed and wonderful menu. Bast restaurant in Scottsdale
This is our favorite restaurant and we're never disappointed! I can't think of anyway it could be any better.
Receptionist was totally rude, stating we were on a clock and had to be finished dinner in an hour when we were ten minutes late for a reservation. Idiotic for a place like this.
Best live music in town! Food is always fabulous along with the service...perfect evening out!
Great! Great food, great service.
Alex our server was training Matt. Both were fantastic! This was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. The personalization added for my wife’s birthday was a refreshing touch that we’ve yet to experience at other venues outside typical honeymoon and anniversary vacation destinations.
Eddie V’s is usually perfect..this time is definitely was not. My sea bass was cold on the inside and not fully cooked. The sautéed spinach that comes with it was super salty with no savory flavor. A disappointment this time..
Our server was fantastic. He was the best part of the dining experience.
My husband ordered a NY strip. It was very good, however...the price was comparable to Peter Luger’s, Capitol Grille, and The Palm. The flavor and presentation were not. There was not one garnish on the plate... not even a sprig of parsley. We’d rather have great flavor, but for the prices, ambience, etc., it would be more visually inviting if the presentation had not been so unimaginative.
We ordered the crab fried rice after having read the reviews and sent it back due to the saltiness from too much soy sauce. It overpowered the flavor of what would have been a delicious crab dish. The server took it off the bill and gave us a complimentary bananas foster dessert.
The swordfish entree was very good... moist and flavorful, but nothing special.
I ordered a vodka chilled, served martini style with Chopin vodka and bleu cheese stuffed olives. If I had to wager, I’d bet it was not Chopin, which I always drink. The charge —- $16.50. Seriously??? $16.50?? From NYC to Philadelphia to Miami, Boca Raton and other fine restaurants in Scottsdale and Phoenix... the most we’ve been charged is $14.50.
The live music was so loud that we were relieved to be sitting on the other side of the restaurant and the singer seemed to almost screech the lyrics. It was almost comical.
We valet parked the car and as we were handed the keys, the valet informed us of a $6.00 charge and repeatedly apologized for the charge, even though we did not complain, but expressed some surprise.
All in all, this restaurant does not warrant the prices charged. If you want to pay $200 for a meal, Scottsdale and Phoenix offer far better choices.
As always, Eddie V’s delivers! This is by far one of our favorite places to visit on special occasions, and when we want a nice night out. Our service was great, the food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant staff knows how to take care of you. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it for that special night.
Excellent staff and amazing server as well as food. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Birthday service and birthday desert was delicious! Thank you.
Excellent all around! Thank you!
Table was not ready on time, staff busted a wine glass, glass flew all over, very little to any response
One of our favorite Scottsdale places... always a treat! Great sea bass... maybe the best ever... and a wonderful waiter.
We had a great experience last Friday evening. It was a Birthday celebration that made my friends night. Having the music was a bonus.
We highly recommend Eddie V’s and ask for Jim he’s the best waiter in Arizona.
Thanks Joanie R
Great food and service.
Waitress great. Calamari salad the best. Great music. Always good mixed drinks
Never disappoints- Great service , food, and ambiance. Love the Sole
Ford and service were great.
Our server, Anna, was soooo helpful! She suggested a great starter- a small cut filet with a teriyaki chili sauce, amazing! Her drink selection ideas also very good! Dinner- shrimp oreganato with crab was outstanding. Music in the car was great! Super fun vibe at Eddy V’s. We will be back!
While our server was ultimately pleasant and professional, it took an unusually long time for her to initially approach us. Great ambience except for the loud, live music. Very nice special touches for my wife’s birthday—rose petals on table, personally signed birthday card , and complimentary (delicious) dessert. Crab-stuffed shrimp was well worth the price. Steak au poivre arrived medium rare when medium was ordered; steak was tough; sauce was delectable though. $56 price-tag raised expectations which were not met. Probably won’t be back.
Uplifting, joyful, relaxing, generous people work there.
When the reservations were made, I specifically requested a quiet table. While we were not in the bar area, we were very close and the noise level made it difficult to hear each other at times.
Overall, service was excellent.
Wine prices are inflated. And even though the menu says that several half bottles were available, apparently they are being phased out - and no compensation or options were provided when I was told my choice was no longer available.
The food was good. Started with raw oysters which were fresh and good. We all had seafood entrees that were enjoyed, and then shared the Cesear style broccoli and crab fried rice. The sides were good but not exceptional.
This is an expensive spot, so be prepared. It is easier to valet since the parking garages are not close by. But that is another cost to factor into an expensive evening out at this restaurant.
Nothing special, but still OK.
Pretty typical for this sort of establishment. Dimly lit (even hard to see).
Boring wine list (except for some VERY expensive bottles), but there were a few reasonably-priced bottles of quality wine.
Dinner was OK (filet), had the peppercorn sauce - no flavor. Veggies were OK, nothing special.
Dessert was the creme brulee - I don't recommend it. The texture was dense and it tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for weeks.
Service was generally good and professional, but I would have expected to have the table cleared of breadcrumbs between courses.
We were a party of 4. Our table was in the middle of the room with the surrounding tables occupied; however we had no trouble having conversation at normal level. The spinach salad with goat cheese and the lobster bisque were great appetizers and highly recommended. Shrimp with crab, branzino, butterfish entrees are highly recommended. It was a great evening with great food with friends.
Love the place wish it was closer to me so I could go more often.
Our waiter Alex did an outstanding job. Our food was excellent & served in a timely manner.
This is the second time we’ve been to Eddie V’s and just like the first time everything was wonderful!
Excellent food, service and attention to detail. The Staff was Knowledgeable and accommodating of multiple food allergies and provided a more focused separate menu. Excellent attention to detail through meal and up to the final offering of a second cup of delicious hot coffee with the hot silver coffee pitcher in hand. Perfect. Well worth the trip.
Rude waitress, in a hurry, didn’t know
How food was prepared, slow to take drink and food order, or to check in on our status.
Valet will open drivers door, but not woman’s passenger door while other attendant is on phone.
No thanks, not quite Mastros!
Fantastic food and service. We visited with four adults and five little kids. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating making it a great experience despite some rogue toddlers.
Shelly, our server, was amazing. The food was amazing. Everything was amazing. My friend David and I had a great business meeting.
Excellent Food and Service
