Eddie V's - Scottsdale Quarter Ratings and Reviews
Perfection! Staff was attentive, knowledgeable & efficient. They moved around the dining room quickly but we never felt rushed & our server was friendly. The food was outstanding! We started with the calamari, which both the server & the food runner were sure to point out the 3 hot peppers that garnished the dish. My husband had the Caesar salad & ahi tuna tempura; I had the most flavorful heirloom tomato & mozzarella salad that I have ever eaten & the delicate, nicely crusted citrus scallops. We shared the s’mores dessert for the finale, which was wonderful. I certainly hope they open a Eddie V’s near our Capital Grille Raleigh NC. Highly recommended.
Exceptional all the way around. We were seated promptly in a booth as requested. We had a stellar waiter...all here have been excellent..but we particularly enjoyed Brandon. Food was superb and his wine recommendations were great. We had a lovely evening. Unfortunately, afterward instead of the Rolls Royce parked there, the Valet gave us our own ordinary vehicle back...but Ce la Vie!!!
We reserved a table for six at pm. Our table was ready and we were not crowded. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We chose a ZD 2012 Cab for dinner from a long wine list and were very pleased with the aeration service and the temperature of the wine. We ordered a second bottle because the wine went so well with our dishes. My 13 and 9 year old grandchildren were treated very well by all staff. A bit of sticker shock but the experience was worth the cost.
We visit Eddie V’s every time we are in Scottsdale and the service and food never disappoint. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the table was covered in rose petals with an anniversary card signed by the staff on the table which I thought was a very nice touch. We also received a complimentary dessert. As always, the service was excellent and the food top notch.
I would recommend this place to a friend for the crab stuffed shrimp and the atmosphere. It was a little dark to read the menu, we had to use the flashlight on our phones. (We weren't the only ones) My husbands shark was dry, he ordered a Tom Collins and isn't sure what he got, he didn't drink it. Our waiter was professional, however we were very rushed from dinner salad, main entree to dessert. We think it was a little over an hour for a milestone anniversary. Yikes! Way to much money for the short time we were there!!
Celebrated 47 Anniversary here. Personal touch and attention could not be better. Food was amazingly unique and spectacular. Lobster tails were huge and good! Would not think twice about returning. Hard to imagine a better place to eat at it's finest. On the pricey side but it's worth it. Thank the whole team there for the card signed by everyone and flower petals on table. Your ARE the best.
I would definitely recommend Eddie V's, the staff was accommodating from initially setting up the reservations until the ending of our night. We had went to Eddie V's for my mothers surprise birthday, my mother had showed up a bit earlier then some of the guest so instead of the night being ruined they allowed our late guest to slip into the side door into the large room where we were stage , allowing the surprise party to continue being a surprise party. The food was great, I have never had swordfish but this was the best dish I have ever tasted , everyone was satisfied . The staff went above and beyond, this is my new favorite place!
This is first and foremost a bar. There is live music and with the open format there are no quiet corners. The seafood is good. I have lived on the East Coast and spent a lot of time in the Northwest. I have had better. The reservation through Open Table had us at our table right on time. The waiters were attentive but seemed a bit distracted with some larger groups. It was not as expensive as I thought it might have been. I would probably go again on my next visit to the area just to try something else from the menu.
The food was passable, but over priced. The lobster tails that I believe were previously frozen were rubbery and tough: I believe we were charged more for the off-menu lobster than the server quoted. However, I did not realize it until the next day and decided not to call. I do not intend to return.
The food is truly exceptional. Our waiter, Jordan, was very attentive without being over bearing. He was knowledgeable and quick to remedy an error with the order at no additional charge. Too bad I can't give it greater than 5 STARS as the food and dining are second to none here in the Valley.
Although the server Danielle introduced herself at the beginning, and acknowledged having received my special note; that we had to be out of the restaurant 1 hour and 15 minutes after our arrival, it took the 15 minutes to take our initial order. We knew what we wanted, 15 minutes before they came back. Their sense of urgency ended with her introduction. We had to ask for our server.
When it was time for a second beer, it took 20 minutes after the request was made. We had to ask where the beer was, and the guy said, "I'll go get your server."
Most shocking, my accompanying party and I each ordered the crab legs.
When they arrived, we were confused, and mentioned that we ordered two orders of crab. She said, "That's it." They combined the crab legs onto "one" plate as if we are expected to share a plate. Never in my life had I experienced this. Appalling. You'd think an classy restaurant such as this, would have enough plates in the kitchen to plate them per individual ordering. We had to request a separate plate be delivered to our table.
The lobster mashed potatoes were too lumpy, and flavorless. We had some left over, but I wasn't interested in keeping them. I've had better at Ocean Prime; their lobster mac.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. I was disappointed.
I'd rather go to Eddie Merlot's, Ocean Club, Preston's, Ocean Prime, The Capital Grille, Mesquite Grill at Rio Verde, or other.
As an aside, the jazz band they had on the night of 10/14/17 wasn't as great as the other bands I've heard around down; the vocalist has a lot to be desired, my accompanying party remarked that I had a better voice, and was serious about it. I'd recommend the restaurant employ another band. It was truly unenjoyable. When the vocalist took a break, the music was smooth, and the band was talented.
Petro was our waiter and he was excellent . I give him 100+ stars he’s very personable very caring about his customers . I have told our family and friends when they make their reservations to Eddie V’s they should asked to sit in his section. Outstanding food and outstanding services .
Best regards ,
Ton and Lisa Nelson
