Eddie V's - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Our server Joshua was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Our food was cooked perfectly. We had a manager stop by our table (Mike I believe was his name). He was very friendly and spent some time talking to us. We will definitely be back!
If you’re a Chilean Sea Bass fanatic, Eddie’s Hong Kong preparation is super excellent. Try the Warm Goat Cheese salad. Arugula is the greenery. I’m not normally an Arugula fan but this salad was incredible. We finished with the Apple Cobbler. Ask for our new favorite server, Makeba.
Underwhelming honestly, the calamari was awesome but that's where it kinda stopped. My steak was so so, I had the use water to get my bites down...it was a filet 🙁. The lobster was good but the crab was horrible, dry and tasted old. (Just not good and it's disappointing since it's a seafood speciality restaurant. It is also a very loud place to go, do not go if you are looking for a quiet place to eat, I'm sure it's great for some drinks and apps. Just overall not pleased and not terribly anxious to go back.
Eddie V's has very friendly people and professional staff. The food is good and the Wait staff assistants seem mostly attentive. However, you will not get their best attention unless you order one or more bottles of wine or continuously order alcoholic beverages. If you do none of the above, prepare for sub par attentiveness. The bar is lively and the wait staff there more attentive, but again favoring those who respond well to frequent encouragement of the staff for refills of their cocktails.
This was the best meal we had in Orlando by a country mile.
Oysters were good, my wife (who cannot stand calamari) really enjoyed my calamari second d course - it was melt in the mouth. My wife loved her Chilean sea bass - they cooked it differently to the menu at her request. My Ahi tuna was top notch. All in all a great last night in Orlando. Highly recommended.
I would add that you don't need to take a table in the restaurant as you can eat at the bar, which is very relaxed and you are a part of everything.
Wanted to take the wife out while we were vacationing in Orlando. I was craving seafood and she wanted a nice steak. Eddie V’s satisfied both our palettes.
Our server John was exceptional with his knowledge of the menu and his recommendations were on point.
The ambience was beautiful. Even better than when the restaurant was Timpanos previously. Our view was a nice backdrop of the Orlando eye. The table was next to the kitchen but it felt private and romantic.
Definitely would come back!
REGULAR PATRONS. WE WERE THRILLED WITH THE EXCELLENT THANKSGIVING SPECIAL MENU. VERY BUSY NIGHT BUT OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND EVEN THOUGH THE TURKEY DINNER IS NOT THEIR SPECIALTY EVERYTHING SERVED WAS EXCELLENT!!! THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ORLANDO FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!
Our second visit to EV's. We went for Thanksgiving dinner which was thoroughly enjoyed by 1 of our party of 3, but they also served their regular menu, from which 2 of us ordered and it was superb. Our first visit in February was for a special occasion, which was handled wonderfully considering we were a party of 6. Can't beat this restaurant, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Great service and food. Highly recommend.
Thanksgiving Dinner was $39.95. Small plate of food composed of sliced turkey, mashed, stuffing, cranberry, a few green beans, and squash. A dinner salad was not included. As for the food itself, nothing stood out flavor wise from the typical turkey platter offered at roadside diners. The ambiance and view was very nice but the noise level in the restaurant was so loud it inhibited any discussion at our table. For the prices charged, one would expect superlative service but the service was lacking. Appetizers were served without bread, requiring me to ask for it. Amazing the bread -while hot- never made it to the table until the entrees were served. And a server said she would return with a soda refill - never did - again forcing me to ask for it. For a restaurant at this point, this place was a clear disappointment. I see no reason to return.
Wife and I had an exceptionally nice Thanksgiving dinner here at Eddie V's.
Food was outstanding, service was just right.
Obviously a very nice dinner/bar destination.....not cheap.....but worth the price for a special occasion. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Recommended?....YES.
Mu husband and I reserved a table for Thanksgiving a month before. We were notified via email and phone call for reminder and confirmation which was very good.
We were greeted but would have been nice to have staff say Happy Thanksgiving.
We shown to our table and then sat and waited for nearly 15 minutes before a waitress finally turned up. No offer of a drink beforehand.
The food was very good tho overloaded with cheese on the scallop potatoes but waitress did not go through what was on service that day especially with the Thanksgiving meal . Just said they were offering it.
THe decor was very nice but am not sure we would go back .
Great place for celebrations and there were several tables of them last Friday night. If you want quiet conversation come early (to finish by 7-ish) before the restaurant fills to capacity and live music in bar begins. No one being outrageous -- just talking and having a good time at different tables. The wait staff is spread around so they serve tables throughout the restaurant - not just in a several table cluster -- so they are constantly circulating. The manager came to each table to inquire about your satisfaction. Even without wine and sides, it is not an inexpensive meal by any means. However, the prime steaks are better than equivalent primes you can purchase at local meat purveyor. This was my husband's first and only choice for his birthday dinner and he wasn't disappointed. Probably won't wait another year to come back.
